I have been a customer of Norwood Vet Surgery for many years. In the past, it was run by a very nice team of vets with very reasonable prices, but regretfully the business was sold around 3 years ago....
I have been a customer of Norwood Vet Surgery for many years. In the past, it was run by a very nice team of vets with very reasonable prices, but regretfully the business was sold around 3 years ago. Today I went for a prescription of Advocate for my cat and an obligatory check-up. I wasn't warned of the prices, thinking it would be the normal charge for the prescription and that they would not charge me for the quick review. Today the quick review lasted 5 minutes and shockingly I was charged £24.50 for the prescription and £54.50 for the "consultation". Total rip-off! When it comes to the next prescription, I will move to another surgery.

Excellent Vets! I would definitely recommend. Professional and friendly. Since I have been dealing with this Vet surgery I have always been happy with their service. It is clear that they are very caring and they listen to your concerns and make suggestions accordingly. I never walk out feeling that they didn't listen to me or didn't take me serious. They always handle my cat with great care and take time to go through details. After having had some bad experiences in the past I am delighted to have found this place. Since the recent refurb they now have separate treatment rooms for cats and for dogs and it makes such a difference. My cat was much calmer than usual. I wish more GPs would have these listening and engagement skills too. 😉

As a new dog owner, I have had my anxieties soothed and my concerns checked and compassionately handled. Each time I visit I know that my dogs are in very safe and loving hands, from reception onwards. The practice was recommended to me by a friend and I would like to recommend it publicly. I gather it's one of the few private practises left in the area and it has an intimate and friendly feel. What really impresses me is that whenever I phone both me and my dogs are remembered by name. Wonderful!

Ellie and Kat are lovely vets. They are gentle with our kitties, and explain everything carefully to us before anything is done.
I have been taking out first cat there ever since she was a small kitten, and the second cat ever singe we got him.
Reception staff can be a bit quick over the phone, but only if they are seriously busy - otherwise they always have the patience to talk things through and are very pleasant.
Highly recommended.

There are some things that are always a challenge when moving to a new area: finding a new doctor's, hairdressers and when you have pets - vet.Being super soppy and emotional about your fluff-balls, you want the best for them. You want someone you can connect with and that will understand your needs as well as the ones of your pet.I found Norwood Road Veterinary Surgery through our friend Google. And being a native of the digital age, their website impressed me: means they weren't old bitter vets. So I gave it a go.I have been there twice since moving here; once for a check-up and once lately for a small issue. Both times the vets (different ones each times) have been extremely helpful and friendly. They care, it tells, my cat is safe there. I shall go back :)
