We have attended the Animal Clinic Blackheath for approximately 19 years with our pets, and in this time we have always been very happy with your service.
When in the early part of this year one of our pets was stolen the staff were so helpful, providing us with contacts that could help with the aid of her return. Thankfully after 3 weeks she was returned to us, and we cannot thank the all the staff enough for their support.
We have recently moved from the area but would never consider changing our vet.
Our pets attend the clinic with wagging tails, being greeted by staff who make a fuss of them, which helps with the de-stressing of the visit.
Everyone at The Animal Clinic is very professional in their roles, when we have had a pet pass away they have been more than supportive and compassionate.
They feel more like friends to us, they always go the extra mile to be helpful and accommodate.
We would recommend the Animal Clinic 100%.

Excellent vet, small practise where they get to know you and give a friendly service. After moving to the area I tried one of the big chains and found them to be awful, so glad I found this independent practise I can rely on. They give great advice and always happy to answer questions - in fact every visit begins with the vet asking what questions do I have and answering them reassuringly. Can't recommend enough.

I'm a volunteer for a fox rescue charity and picked up an injured cub locally. Having been turned away by two other vets around Blackheath the vet here agreed to see the cub immediately, was wonderfully helpful & treated it straight away at no cost which for a small charity is vital. Lovely staff, very kind, I 'm happy to recommend this practice.

Very disappointed in The Animal Clinic. Was looking after a dog registered with the practice who got a Tick close to the eye. Normally happy to remove them myself, but given the location thought it would best be removed by a professional. Rang the practice and was told there would be a charge of £13 and I needed an appointment.
Took the dog to my own vets (Blackheath Vets in Humber Road) who happily removed the Tick free of charge as a walk-in even though the dog wasn't a regular patient. The Animal Clinic appears to be interested in commercial transactions rather than animal welfare.

Very professional, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff.
The nurses and reception staff are very patient and go the extra mile to help with any questions you may have, be it at the clinic or with queries over the phone.
There is an on site foundation course for training and socialising dogs, the clinic is very well kept, with a parking area too.
As pet owners we are very grateful to have them nearby and because they have made our transition of adopting a puppy really straightforward and helped with everything from nutritional information, tags, vaccination, deworming, training and reassurance when we didn’t know what to do. Thanks!

All the staff are very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about their work. They stay open until 18:30 on weekdays which is very convenient if you need an appointment after work rather than during the day.

Recently our bunny Sesame fell ill and on our way to the clinic her heart beat stopped. I want to praise the staff for handling the situation with emergency and doing all they could to revive her. Although she is no longer with us I'm sure she would have liked to say thank you too.

Been here twice, and my experience was consistent: The vet was quite rushed - a strict 15 minute appointment time was enforced. I felt rushed out the door without time take to carefully answer questions and explain. The exam was not very thorough: no pet weight was assessed, no physical exam was given (no probing, checking eyes, mouth, ears, etc.). In one case, no blood-work was suggested, despite there being a clear need for it. They consulted for 10 minutes and rushed me out the door to come back again with a urine specimen. Therefore, my visit was essentially an excuse for them to charge me for dispensing a pot, and to return again at a later date to drop it off for more cost. Did not feel they took the time to assess and understand the problem. I felt I needed to write this review after reading the glowing recommendations here. I would not recommend this vet practice.

I don't often write reviews but feel that this is a good way to show all the staff at The Animal Clinic how much my husband and I appreciate them.In the short space of time we have been visiting The Animal Clinic everyone has been welcoming, understanding, friendly and knowledgeable. Sadly, we lost our first puppy very early after he was hit be a car, The Animal Clinic we so thoughtful, caring and kind to us. I remember saying to my husband, I'm so glad we found this vets as they have been great with us.Happily, we recently rehomed a puppy and again the staff have been brilliant. I cannot praise them enough. Initially, I chose The Animal Clinic because of practical things ie free car parking, easy access and clean, modern building, but since visiting them they have surpassed all expectations. Thank you to all the staff and keep up the great work you all do!

We have have used the Animal Clinic for the past 13 years. On every occasion we have found the service provided to be first class and all the staff are a pleasure to deal with. We have two cats and when a treatment decision has had to be made all possible options, and their implications, have been set out clearly for us. We have then been left to make our own decision on the action to be taken. Perhaps the best testimonial we can give to the Animal Clinic is that our eldest cat is now entering her 20th year!

It is not a good place to take your pet
The vet sugested xray cos our dog has diarrhea
And a bunch of blood test with no results
Very expencive service if possible avoid this place.

The Animal Clinic have cared for my family's pets for about twenty years now. Throughout that time they have offered exceptional care. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and enthusiastic about their work. They stay open until 18:30 on weekdays which is very convenient if you need an appointment after work rather than during the day.

We had two beautiful and much loved bunnies who we took to this clinic. The staff are friendly and very professional. Recently our bunny Sesame fell ill and on our way to the clinic her heart beat stopped. I want to praise the staff for handling the situation with emergency and doing all they could to revive her. Although she is no longer with us I'm sure she would have liked to say thank you too.

Been here twice, and my experience was consistent: The vet was quite rushed - a strict 15 minute appointment time was enforced. I felt rushed out the door without time take to carefully answer questions and explain. The exam was not very thorough: no pet weight was assessed, no physical exam was given (no probing, checking eyes, mouth, ears, etc.). In one case, no blood-work was suggested, despite there being a clear need for it. They consulted for 10 minutes and rushed me out the door to come back again with a urine specimen. Therefore, my visit was essentially an excuse for them to charge me for dispensing a pot, and to return again at a later date to drop it off for more cost. Did not feel they took the time to assess and understand the problem. I felt I needed to write this review after reading the glowing recommendations here. I would not recommend this vet practice.

I don't often write reviews but feel that this is a good way to show all the staff at The Animal Clinic how much my husband and I appreciate them.In the short space of time we have been visiting The Animal Clinic everyone has been welcoming, understanding, friendly and knowledgeable. Sadly, we lost our first puppy very early after he was hit be a car, The Animal Clinic we so thoughtful, caring and kind to us. I remember saying to my husband, I'm so glad we found this vets as they have been great with us.Happily, we recently rehomed a puppy and again the staff have been brilliant. I cannot praise them enough. Initially, I chose The Animal Clinic because of practical things ie free car parking, easy access and clean, modern building, but since visiting them they have surpassed all expectations. Thank you to all the staff and keep up the great work you all do!

We have have used the Animal Clinic for the past 13 years. On every occasion we have found the service provided to be first class and all the staff are a pleasure to deal with. We have two cats and when a treatment decision has had to be made all possible options, and their implications, have been set out clearly for us. We have then been left to make our own decision on the action to be taken. Perhaps the best testimonial we can give to the Animal Clinic is that our eldest cat is now entering her 20th year!
