This is an excellent veterinary practice. Roland goes the extra mile and really explains what the problem/s might be, and is very clear and open about what the suggested process will be/cost. My dog is very tricky to deal with but so far (and thankfully!) Roland has persisted with him and we have managed to sort his various ear problems. I trust him and his team completely with my (very uncooperative!) but much adored dog and I don't think you can really put a price on that.

Started taking my two cats here when it opened. Nice to have a neighbourhood vet who grew up locally. Interior is modern and clean, staff are great. The vet is happy to let the cats explore first and not rush them which makes it less stressful. Would like them to stock Hills Science Plan cat food but that's a minor thing. Definitely recommend.

My dog was really scared at her last vets. Now she's so happy to go for a check up as The Avenue Vet make her feel secure and comfortable. Infact now she's excited when we get near the door!

I called the clinic a few days prior to booking my appointment and spoke to Roland the owner/vet who told me that as my cat was a new patient the first 30 minutes would be free.I booked an appointment...
I called the clinic a few days prior to booking my appointment and spoke to Roland the owner/vet who told me that as my cat was a new patient the first 30 minutes would be free.I booked an appointment and was then charged the full consultation fee of £42 along with the other charges.The male receptionist was very patronising and told me no one would have told me this as there is no such thing.Received a call from Roland the following day who also stated that there must have been a misunderstanding as he would not say that and did not remember speaking to me over the phone. He did offer me the £42 off on my cats vaccinations bill next time i come in as a good gesture will which was not good enough for me as i didn't appreciate the way the receptionist spoke to me or the fact that Roland had said when people hear the word free they tend to concentrate on that and not hear anything else that comes after that!When i said i'd rather have the money refunded to me i was told this was not something he could do. Which i find very strange considering he's the owner of the practice.I guess it's a way of conning people into booking an appointment.Very disappointed

What a lovely and friendly vet! I brought my cat in for an annual health check. The usual vet would give a vaccination, check weight and finish in 5 min whereas Dr Sabin checked my cat extremely thoroughly, offered practical and sincere advice on my cat's weight problem and health in general. Decided upon this vet having just moved to the area. There were two local choices and after having done a bit of research I felt that this one suited my needs more; and it wasn't a chain.We had our first appointment four weeks ago when my dog needed her boosters. Roland, who's surgery it is, had booked extra time for our appointment so he could get to know Ponyo and me, which I thought was a fabulous idea. It made me feel very welcomed. We went through all the options regarding Ponyo's booster shots, what's was available and necessary.The surgery itself is a very clean, well designed space, with a few retail bits such as beds and crates and food. There's a separate waiting area for dogs and cats as well.Overall very happy that I chose this vet. Now let's hope I only need to come here once a year for routine check ups!!

We had a very poorly cat and went to see Roland. He was extremely thorough, kept us updated as soon as test results came in and even opened on Sunday to admit our cat who needed a drip as had refused food / water for 3 days. He kept a very close eye on him, popping to check on him and calling us Sunday evening with an update. Thank you Roland, our cat is back to his old self again.

The true quality of a vet shows when times get rough: I had an acute health scare with my old cat recently, and Dr. Sabin was excellent both in his medical sophistication, sense of humor, partnership with me as the pet-owner and flexibility during weekend hours. I got very nervous about being away over Xmas with a sick cat at home, but he helped us problem solve. With an 18 year old cat, one never knows how long they will live, but I am convinced that if the time has come for my cat to go home Dr Sabin will support this process as well with his usual compassion and respect for both humans and animals.

Roland is a sensitive and professional, who obviously really loves animals. I took my new 7 month old rescued cat "Rosie" for Roland for the "introductory well-pet check", and was really pleased with the personal attention he gave me and Rosie. He gave me excellent advice and suggestions for her future care, and I will definitely be coming to him for all my cat's health needs. It is great to have such a local Clinic, and one so well equipped with X-ray, ultra sound and an operating theatre. I am also delighted to be able to buy Natures Menu raw food from The Avenue Veterinary Clinic for my cat.

This is an excellent veterinary practice. Roland goes the extra mile and really explains what the problem/s might be, and is very clear and open about what the suggested process will be/cost. My dog is very tricky to deal with but so far (and thankfully!) Roland has persisted with him and we have managed to sort his various ear problems. Started taking my two cats here when it opened. Nice to have a neighbourhood vet who grew up locally. Interior is modern and clean, staff are great. The vet is happy to let the cats explore first and not rush them which makes it less stressful. Would like them to stock Hills Science Plan cat food but that's a minor thing. Definitely recommend.

Roland is a sensitive and professional, who obviously really loves animals. I took my new 7 month old rescued cat "Rosie" for Roland for the "introductory well-pet check", and was really pleased with the personal attention he gave me and Rosie. He gave me excellent advice and suggestions for her future care, and I will definitely be coming to him for all my cat's health needs. It is great to have such a local Clinic, and one so well equipped with X-ray, ultra sound and an operating theatre. I am also delighted to be able to buy Natures Menu raw food from The Avenue Veterinary Clinic for my cat.
