Village Vet Southgate provides a professional and personal service for all dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets. Our dedicated team of vets, qualified veterinary nurses and receptionists aim to treat your pets as if they were our own. We provide an excellent standard of veterinary care while maintaining a friendly and personal service. We believe in preventative health care, and our approachable, trained staff are always happy to discuss your pets’ needs.
The practice is modern and well-equipped with on-site surgical, diagnostic and dental facilities. Our consultations run by appointment, with a minimum of fifteen minutes allocated per pet, and there is convenient on-street parking. We also provide a full 24-hour emergency service. We look forward to welcoming you to Village Vet Southgate.

I am absolutely appalled by the neglect caused to my dog Alfie, I had originally brought him to your clinic regarding a issue within ear canal and
Was continually faced with wrong diagnoses as well having to deal with forceful members of staff pushing me to buy you vetenary food. I was told that my dogs ear issue must be due to the food although my dog eats the correct anti allergen food and this was never a problem. I was then pushed into a monthly allergy Injection costing £200 per month And told even if this didn’t help it did my dog no harm towards Alfie in any way. On my last visit I was completely discouraged instead of the concern of welfare for Alfie I was quoted over £700+ for a ear flush and very forcefully pushed into having a baby tooth removed which all vets have said is not a necessity. This was the last straw that when my daughter had voiced this was too much and not necessary I was still forced to
Make a appointment in which I had cancelled later , unknown to my knowledge village vet took it upon themselves to ring my insurance on my behalf (without my consent) asking how much was left to claim to proceed with this treatment.
Going forward I have visited a new clinic who has diagnosed and solved Alfie issue in just under 8 weeks, when visiting here we was told that this issue was quite severe , injection for “allergies” where not relevant to his condition and due to the neglect of your talented veterinarians that Alfie may have to have his ear canal removed and be partially deaf. To me this type of neglect in a animal is unacceptable and untrustworthy considering people like you should know and understand medical conditions.
Also we had 2 other cats that have been since removed from your clinic as wrong diagnosis and only severe and costly operations where solutions to these problems.
People do not waste your money and time l

Lucky is my precious cross bred who is nearly 13 years old and I was panic stations thinking about whether to have two large fatty lumps removed from near her left arm pit that were getting bigger and might eventually impede on her movement. Anyway, I decided to go ahead with the operation and I needn't have worried at all. She received the highest level of care and attention and Zara acted in my most reassuring and professional manner. All the staff at Southgate and Winchmore Hill were very kind and attentive and no question was too stupid for them to answer! Lucky made a full and speedy recovery. My thanks to all the staff.

So warm and welcoming at Village Vet. They really do care about our pets. I trust them implicitly and wouldn't go anywhere else....

Also, its always nice to see Nellie and the occasional glimpse of Alan the hedghog. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants their vet to care as much about your pet as you do.

I have had a good experience of the vets at Village Vet Southgate, some have gone above and beyond by responding to my many worries and concerns with patience and kindness. I am extremely grateful for that. It is cat friendly, they have a felliway diffuser plugged in at all times and the vets I have seen have cats themselves, this is great for me being a cat owner. The atmosphere is always calm when I go there, which is another thing that is great, having a cat that hates vet trips. It makes it a little easier.
And for a completely honest review: I have at times been made to feel uncomfortable too, but on the whole my experience has been good and I appreciate the work both the vets and nurses do.
I joined village vet Southgate because I wanted no less then the best for my cats, and I had a great experience when I had to bring in a family of foster kittens that had flu, the vet who cared for them was brilliant. And for the most part, I am happy with my choice. I trust the vets there fully in caring for my cats, so I can’t ask for more. Thank you.

Wonderful service yesterday. Our own vet was closed. We had to take in our cat to be put to sleep. The service was efficient and compassionate. Lovely reception staff and terrific vet. She was super tolerant of me as a tried to hold it together. We have a lovely vet in Notting Hill but I'd recommend Village in Hampstead to anyone in that area. Excellent

Huge thanks to all at VVL. A truly 24-hour service with the masterful Crina in the smaller hours and the excellent Helen during the day (though Rebekkah will take the credit if she keeps muddling her overalls). Between them they restored our Havanese to his exuberant self, while the clinic also reunited a stray with his owners. All in a day's and night's work. To all the people complaining about prices, just remember that there is no NHS for pets, so don't expect rock bottom or free treatment if you want the best equipment and the most qualified vets in the industry!

Late one evening I brought my 15 year old dog in after being Savaged by another dog. She was in a very poor state. The Village Vet team were brilliant. First they patched me up as I had also been bitten and then they operated on Sally and saved her life. Every member of the team was brilliant, considerate and skillful. Sally is now fully recovered so a big thank you.

Wonderful staff and vets. Bruce at Maida Vale was the best vet for our beloved kitten Picasso. He was both an excellent professional and compassionate as we had to recently place our kitten to sleep due to an ongoing illness. I truly thank Village Vet for all they did for Pic and cared for him so well. Bruce was always realistic and supportive of his diagnosis. We will eventually adopt another animal and will take them to Village Vet again.

Lucky is my precious cross bred who is nearly 13 years old and I was panic stations thinking about whether to have two large fatty lumps removed from near her left arm pit that were getting bigger and might eventually impede on her movement. Anyway, I decided to go ahead with the operation and I needn't have worried at all. She received the highest level of care and attention and Zara acted in my most reassuring and professional manner. All the staff at Southgate and Winchmore Hill were very kind and attentive and no question was too stupid for them to answer! Lucky made a full and speedy recovery. My thanks to all the staff.

I have had a good experience of the vets at Village Vet Southgate, some have gone above and beyond by responding to my many worries and concerns with patience and kindness. I am extremely grateful for that. It is cat friendly, they have a felliway diffuser plugged in at all times and the vets I have seen have cats themselves, this is great for me being a cat owner. The atmosphere is always calm when I go there, which is another thing that is great, having a cat that hates vet trips. It makes it a little easier.
And for a completely honest review: I have at times been made to feel uncomfortable too, but on the whole my experience has been good and I appreciate the work both the vets and nurses do.
I joined village vet Southgate because I wanted no less then the best for my cats, and I had a great experience when I had to bring in a family of foster kittens that had flu, the vet who cared for them was brilliant. And for the most part, I am happy with my choice. I trust the vets there fully in caring for my cats, so I can’t ask for more. Thank you.
