I've been to this vet once&&they sent me to another branch as the vet there wasn't a guinea pig specialist. They are too expensive, I was charged over 50 for a consultation at the goldhawk road branch which is my local branch€ for my guinea pig, she died at the surgery, my second guinea pig cost me about 99 for the consultation and the treatment, the next consultation cost me about 80&&my guinea pig died the next day. I told the vet I couldn't afford the treatments, only give me what is necessary they still added it to bill and I could've done it myself and bought the treatment online or pet shop for less. I am not happy with this surgery! They are expensive, insensitive&&try to drain as much money as they can out of u, even when what they give you is unnecessary, the two guinea pigs I took there ended up dead either that day or the day after. I will say they are very good with giving appointments the same day and emergency appointments. I give them that much, but they really need to sort their prices, they are not affordable and the vets don't seem to have a great knowledge of small animals. My poor guinea pigs were seen by vets who know very little about small animals, they only normally work with cats and dogs. My first guinea pig the vet said there wasn't a lot he could do&&added a lot of pressure onto me to let him inject her. He said it was the kindest thing to do as she wouldn't make it to an animal hospital as it'd be too much stress for her&&she may not survive the operation anyway. So he injected her and she died. That was the most heartbreaking thing I had ever experienced. He told me all these things were wrong with her another vet told me she was perfectly fine, then she got worse, I bought her back to this vet and they kill her. I've learnt my lesson. I will not be taking anymore pets to this vet! They're money grabbing murders! Read Less

DO NOT EVER USE THESE VETS>>>THEY ARE DANGEROUS. I am mortified at this vets. My dog was seriously injured and i rushed her into the vet just before they were closing, her neck was ripped open and she had lost a lot of blood. they told me they would not stay late to deal with her and the nurse, not the vet, offered to wrap up her neck as i would have to take her home and bring her back in at 1pm the next day as that was when the vet would next be in. i said she is hardly breathing and has lost blood and has half her neck hanging off, they just said its best that she is with me as if they keep her their over night no one will be there and what if she dies?? Thats what the actual nurse said. so after a sleepless night watching my dog all night ( who was in a really bad way), i dropped my dog off to the vet, an hour later she turned up and did the operation needed, not rushed to get in and see to me dog. I was getting married the next day and flying off the next night so my dad picked up my dog and took it to his in essex, she seemed ok but after a few days he was concerned as her health was slipping fast, so he took her to his local vet, they were so appalled by how badly the operation had been done, chunks of dead rotting skin left on her and no drain of some kind, which is apparently essential to her recovery. they also used huge crude staples and the vet said they made a mess of the operation and my dog was lucky to still be alive. After her second proper operation with an actual vet, dad said within one day she was so much better and has now made a full recovery. St helens charged me over 900 to perform a terrible operation, get it wrong and leave my dog in such a way that if she was not taken to a different vet she would of died. the other vet charged half the amount for fixing st helens mistakes and redoing the entire operation but this time correctly. This was also the day before my wedding so it wasn't as happy as it should of been as my mind was on my dog. Not only did it cost me an excessive amount but they were incapable of doing the operation properly, they refused to do anything on the spot and sent me away with a seriously injured dog that was bleeding out, if it wasn't for the nurse she wouldn't of even had anything on her wounds to protect her over night whilst waiting for the vet to decide if she is coming in the next day and she certainly did not care about the state of my dog to even get in the next day on time. I am disgusted by the cost and the vet her self. The reception staff / nurses are truly great and its a shame they are working for this vet. The vet needs to be sacked, she does not care for animals and is clearly not capable of doing her job. I also in previous occasion never saw the same vet twice, always straight out of college and not really knowing what they are doing, i have no idea if this same vet is still even working there as they change all the time. The people on the website listed as vets i have never seen but the amazing reception / nurse's are and they are wonderful. I will be progressing down the legal route for nearly killing my dog. The vet is incapable, not caring and should look at another career. If you do not want to be ripped off ( they are the most expensive vets in the area) and you care about your animal, i would suggest taking your pet to The Veterinary centre on Harrow road, the vet their is amazing, so nice, really loves his jobs and genuinely cares for animals and is affordable not a rip off ( as he does so much for animal charities too and will always try and help you, this is what we call a proper vet. I saw the folks at the Brackenbury office in Shepherds Bush. Having recently moved from America to London, I was worried about the care I would receive for my feline, Lila, who is in the beginning stages of renal failure and the enormous costs usually associated with first time veterinarian visits. Not only were the staff incredibly responsive (both front end and the veterinarian), they fully researched Lila's American medication and had ready for me solutions to replace her therapy and contacted my American veterinarian for records of blood work and history. I highly recommend them, well done, thank you. Read Less

Very pleasant vet but their marketing is irritating. Their repetitive text messages are tedious. Their handling of my call when phoned to ask them to stop texting me made matters worse...They went on and on about the merits of vaccines when I told them that I would do it in my own time and probably with another vet. Then they tried to make me feel like a bad owner for not doing it immediately with them. And now I've received an email asking me to rate a visit to the vet when I haven't been or even thought about going. Marketing, you're letting the side down... Read Less

As an animal lover and a cat owner, of course I want the best for my pet. When I decided to neuter my cat I started looking for vet clinics in W10. Some were super expensive and didn't provide after care and other clinics were just too far. Finally I found St Helens. I phoned them up and they were super polite, helpful and  answered all my questions. The night before her operation they called me to see how the cat was and to remind me not to feed her that night . The price of the operation was around £200 but the service was incredible.  I dropped off the cat at 9 am, she had her jabs done, deworming, her operation and they kept her there until she was fully awake and they were absolutely sure that there is no problem to send her home. They gave me special food -like special post operation food- pain killers, meds, protection collar, next day free check-up and another free checkup after 2 weeks. The place is very welcoming and big, big windows- loads of natural light, there is a small waiting area, a little shop area as well and just incredible people working there. Very professional.
