We see Vicky the vet & not only is she an excellent vet, taking time to explain exactly what is going in simple terms but she also has a kind, gentle manner with her patients. The main veterinary guy is smug hole. Awful experience. Rest of the staff were wonderful - he's a class action waiting to happen. I was warned he was like that but Jesus, that man has no self awareness in his a****** bubble. Read Less

I have been going to Westside clinic for over 5 years. Rory and his team are all fantastic vets. My little Westie, Scooby, always gets the best treatment. Everyone is so helpful, caring and friendly each time I see them. I had a few incidents that i need it to get an urgent appointment and most of the time they squeezed me in on the same day. This is the best vet practice around. My poodle and I attended (frequently) for nearly 19 years and prior to that as well. Rory the owner and head vet is amazing. very experienced and really cares about animals. Vicky is also excellent as is Valerie. I'm sure the others are too, but these are the vets I have dealt with over the years. The nurses are fantastic too. Love them all. Compassionate and expert care. I am eternally grateful to them for opening early and carrying out emergency treatment on my darling dog's last morning. Thank you Rory. They have expanded and rightly so, they're ace. Great service from the team at Westside. They are a friendly and professional group that really care about my pet and they don't seem keen to over-prescribe or over-medicate. We even moved from another vet to have the better care at westside. Special mention to Rosie, who clearly loves her job and always goes the extra mile (even when not at work) to keep me updated about any local pet infections/viruses that are doing the rounds. I recently recommended this practice to someone at my gym and he came back and said he had read a bad review about one of the vets there called Chloe, I checked the review and was stunned at what I read as I have dealt with the same vet and found her to be extremely professional and totally dedicated to her patients. What surprised me most was the claim they wouldn't treat a sick animal as they were due to close soon as they stayed open late to help on the occasion I went to them. I was cat sitting for my friend's cat, Hobbs, at her flat for the weekend and came back from brunch on the Saturday morning to find he had a big wound on his leg and was very distressed. I rang my friend and she told me to call Westside Vets as they she takes him there. I called and they told me to bring him straight there that the vet would wait to see him. To get Hobbs seen quickly when I got there the nurse saw him straight away and started checking him over. The vet Chloe who treated Hobbs put me at ease, I was really worried he had been hit by a car or something! She explained that Hobbs would be fine as it was an abscess and I had brought him in quickly. He had his leg cleaned up by Chloe and the nurse and had painkilling and antibiotic injection. I apologised for her having to stay late but she said it was no problem. I can see why my friend chooses them, they were brilliant!Read Less

The vets and nurses at Westside were so lovely and helpful and kind when my dog had a stomach bug before Christmas. I go an appointment the same day, they were hugely professional and caring. My dog is usually a nervous wreck at the vets but they made us feel so relaxed and well-cared for that he wasn't nervous, and he even took a treat which is very unusual for him! Chloe, the Vet there, is incompetent. She misdiagnosed my dog on several occasions. The tipping point was when she refused to see my dog on an emergency basis because it was an hour before they closed on a Saturday. They suggested I wait until Monday with my dog who was in pain and needed antibiotics. Needless to say, I took her somewhere else as she could not wait two days to be seen (over a weekend). This is poor care and lacking on behalf of the clinic. I would not recommend this centre if you want your pet to feel cared for. It appears they see animals out of convenience, not out of the animals need. As well every time I call, the front desk is rude and rushes you off the phone. Chloe at Westside Veterinary Centre was too young and not knowledgeable. Again, the lack of care and concern was evident. Will not be going back.Read Less

Had been taking our cats here for past 7 years and always been happy and thought Rory to be a very good vet! However last week our Cat Bella had to go there numerous times as she was unwell and not getting any better even with antibiotics etc! It took a week to do and get her blood test results and by then it was friday evening and we were told that she will need to go to see a specialist which they would refer her to for more tests/scans. The specialist is a good hours drive from us and as Bella is soo freaked out being in a car and as she had been to the vets several times in a week and that was also stressing her out we thought there must be someone a bit closer to home that we could try that had more diagnostics before having to take her all that way. So on the monday when she was still no better we decided to take her to Roehampton Vets to be checked over there as they are orthopedic specialists and as Rory had said she has a back problem/pain, but also they do endoscopies as she had been very unwell vomiting etc so thought that would be a good place to take her to see if they could perhaps diagnose/treat her and then if not then we would take her to the specialist outside London! Also it was Rory himself who had recommended Roehampton Vets to us in the past for our other cat who had a fractured leg and they had done a  a good job fixing it. Anyway I called Rory at Westside Vets just now to make her a follow up appointment as he had been dealing with her all before and just to get her back checked that there was no more pain as the vet we saw at Roehampton had given her a steriod injection and painkillers and though she had been better the last couple of days since he said it would be a good idea just to check her back to make sure she has no more pain! I thought that we could just take her back to Westside vets as they are our local vet and the ones who had been dealing with her beforehand but Rory said to me " Listen I think you should find yourself another local vet'?!" I was shocked and upset and asked oh really why is that? He just said there was a lot of bullshit last week?! I said oh I did not understand why and that and the reason why we had taken her to Roehampton Vets but he just said again we should find another local vet and he would send them her info? Very very shocked also we had spent over £500 with them last week and have been going there for many years to be treated like that?! It was a very stressful and worrying past 10 days and of course we were thinking of what to do for the best for our cat Bella. And if Rory/Westside vet had just said that we cant take Bella there for a check up for her back to make sure she had no more pain and that we had to take her To Roehampton as thats who had last seen her then of course I would have understood but to strike her/us off his books? When hes been our local vet for years for all our cats that I really do not understand at all! That is not action of a  compassionate and caring vet?! Read Less
