All creatures is a great little vets. The staff are very caring and friendly and willing to go beyond the call of duty. Our pets never have issues coming here as they are treated with dignity and respect. Biscuits are on the counter for doggy treats which is a nice example touch, cats and rabbits don't get treats but hey it is no biggie! The prices are normal for a good quality vets but the care is definitely worth it. The vets are considerate and offer sage advice, keeping you well informed of procedures and offering options where they can without guilt trips for not opting for the most expensive treatments as some practices do. I have used All creatures clinic for over 11 years since purchasing my first dog. I have always found them to be very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. I had a previous bad experience at a different local vet in orpington close to the station that resulted in the death of our 1 year old cat. Recently both of my dogs have undergone surgery, my 11 year old staffie had a lump removed and tested which ended up being nothing to worry about, but with how fast it grew was very worrying at the time. They dealt with the whole situation very quickly and professionally to keep the worry to a minimum. Also my 4 year old English bulldog has very recently just been operated on to deal with his cherry eye. They were amazing, Mr Martin explained he wanted to do the op himself and so the appointment was made asap and Faye and the rest of the team looked after him during his recovery etc and kept me informed as to how the op went, how his recovery was going and when I could collect him. Yes, they are 'over the top friendly' however I took my dog in to get a grass seed removed - I was forced to wait outside the vet on the street for an hour because my dog barked. They whipped him within 1 minute when 'they' where ready. A locum sedated my dog. They phoned me little more than hour later as they appeared to want my dog out as soon as possible! They produced 'no' grass seed and charged me 270!!!! They won't even refund me for the gel I never used. When I complained a week later my dog is still shaking his head... "please come in and speak to the vet to express your concerns". Looks like I now have to change vet because they can be as friendly as they like but when it comes to caring for your pet, sadly they don't! Read Less

I have been using this vets forever. I have laughed and cried with them. They have always understood my dogs and everyone is kind and knowledgable. The girls in Reception are lovely and my dog loves them (and the treats!) I trust the vet completely and he always listens to your views and is very kind and gentle. Read Less

The team at All Creatures are very friendly and knowledgeable. I have been using them for many years. They are always open to alternative therapies (massage, acupuncture. Hydro and many more). They have always been very flexible. My four year old Kelpie is a "self harmer" many times I have dropped in announced with him bleeding after he has ripped another pad open whilst out, even at the end of surgery or even at lunch. They always put the animals best interests first. Would highly recommend them. Read Less

I've used this vets since they first opened in Chelsfield and have only good things to say about them. My 9 year old collie X started having mobility issues from 10 months old, it was discovered that he had hip dysplasia, this was dealt with very quickly and past on to a specialist and All creatures have been open to any of our questions and alternative therapies we have tried. We recently had a family members pet in our care that had a serious accident, the staff were very helpfully and handled the dog with care, love and what you would expect from true animal lovers. The dog was referred to Fitzpatrick's after a lot of ringing around (time consuming for the staff) as they were the only people that could deal with the injury. Unfortunately our cat was diagnosed recently with untreatable cancer in his mouth at 8 years old. I first took him to All Creatures because he was dribbling a lot, and as I didn't expect it to be anything serious, I didn't ask to see their most experienced vet. This turned out to be a big mistake! The young female vet I saw was very abrupt with us when she looked in his mouth, and more or less wrote him off there and then. My son and I were understandably very taken aback, and when we asked her what we could do to help him she was quite dismissive, implying there was no point. However she did suggest we pay to have a biopsy taken to confirm the diagnosis. A week later the dianosis was sadly confirmed, so I decided to make an appointment to see the more experienced vet at the practice to discuss with him ways in which we could keep our cat comfortable, for as long as possible. We discussed various possibilities, but came to the joint agreement that he would be given pain relief with anti-inflammatory properties, and also antibiotic cover, to help prevent infection for as long as needed. This treatment worked very well for quite a while, he was able to eat, seemed reasonably content and didn't appear to be in pain. However when I started to run low on antibiotics, and called the vets to get replacements, unfortunately the experienced vet was on holiday, and when asked, the inexperienced female vet refused to give them to him, saying she didn't see the point! I asked that she telephone me to explain herself and when she did she was extremely rude to me, she even suggested that my 2 other cats would become immune to antibiotics because my sick cat was taking them orally. I argued that I didn't want to make my sick cat more uncomfortable with an infected ulcerated mouth, and that the antibiotics had prevented this to date. Prevention is better than cure after all. However she continued to refuse and was quite unpleasant, showing no consideration at all for my feelings, or the welfare of my cat. I was absolutely appalled by her lack of empathy and refusal to do what was right for my cats welfare and because of her negligence, I was forced to take him to another vet recommended by Foal Farm Animal Rescue the same day, where we saw a very experienced vet called Mark Nelson. I explained to him what had happened in detail, and he could not understand why she would not continue with his antibiotic cover, he reassured me he often used antibiotic cover for cats with this condition and found it to be most helpful. He also said that her theory on my other cats immunity being compromised was just that, an unproven theory. Mark will be managing my cats care from now on. Because I was so appalled with the treatment we received, I wrote a letter of complaint to the surgery over 2 weeks ago, explaining my concerns about the mismanagement of my cats care.
