Saw Harriet for a very sad diagnosis of my beloved chicken Florence. One of the best vets I've seen. Very polite and knowledgeable. Although Flo had to be put to sleep, Harriet was very gentle with her and helped ease my mind as to ensuring euthanasia was the best option. I wouldn't hesitate to drive the 30mins again to see her! Finally! I have found a Vet Practice that cares about the welfare of my dog first, rather than just signs. Since joining the Potters Bar practice (having had a dreadful experience at a previous vet practice) we have been treated with respect and professional care not only from Harriot, our Vet, but also from the nurses who are happy to spend time to explain things to me in layman terms, nothing is too much trouble. A great team. No longer do I dread our visits. My only regret is that we didn't move to the Village Vet sooner. The extra bonus is the on-line shop where I can purchase much needed medication at a cheaper price. Read Less

Had to visit with my Beagle Rosie yesterday morning as an urgent appointment. I was very impressed that I was able to call the emergency 24 hour hospital who were able to make me an appointment for 9am at the Potters Bar Practice. That immediately took away the anxiety about having to make sure I called up at 8.30am to get the first possible appointment of the morning. We saw Elliot who was kind and caring and very gentle with my reluctant Rosie. I felt the examination was carried out thoroughly, professionally and with empathy. Elliot made sure he explained what he was doing to me at all times and the reasons behind it. We talked about the condition we were presenting with and how we would treat it as symptomatic but if it were to return how there are a number of other avenues we can explore. Elliot was conscious of Rosie's needs and was aware when she was becoming too stressed and stopped to allow her time to recover and compose herself. The Reception staff and Nurses are always lovely and friendly. They take time to have a chat with you and alleviate any concerns you may have. I have been using this practice for 8 years as I also have a cat in addition to Rosie Beagle and cannot fault them. They are professional, thorough and compassionate. What more can you ask for? Thank you Village Vet for another wonderful experience. Read Less
