Great vets. One of my dogs is reactive and they either let me come in the back way or make sure reception is clear for me to come through. He also has several long term illnesses that means I am there a LOT and they are always caring, take as much time as needed and handle him and his unpredictability brilliantly and love him even though he can be difficult at times. I am a dog walker and one of my clients had a very poorly dog at another local vet but when I recommended Kavit and they moved to here they finally found out what the problem was and learned she'd had an unnecessary operation that put her in greater danger as well as a broken tooth from gnawing on the bars to the crate she was left in, unsupervised, from 7pm till the next morning. That would never be the case here as it's staffed 24/7 and the crates all have glass doors. While it might be a little more expensive than some others, you get what you pay for and fortunately I'm insured so... I wouldn't go anywhere else... Read Less

I have been bringing my dog here for several years now and although the staff is friendly their pricing is inconsistent and extortionate . I have ended my time here as the last straw was they have felt to charge me £50 to listen to the results of bloods taken 3 days previous, in which I paid just under £800 for those test, among a few other things. When I had left that visit I was told to 'pop in early next week to check the blood pressure and know results of the bloods'.....Gobsmacked by this charge to merely 'hear the results' of the bloods I've just paid for and to be told their reasoning was 'consultation'. ***BTW, this 'consultation' visit went like this: my dog escorted out to check blood pressure me being called into the room, sitting in the chair, having been asked how my dog has been the past few days then hearing the 'bloods were on the higher side but nothing to be done about it as not high enough for concern and will keep an eye on it' and my dogs blood pressure looks good..... then I left the room..... **** All of this is part of the £800 visit **** Bottom line is this is absurd and I will be sure to let those I know with pets to avoid this surgery. Shame really as they just did it up but maybe that's why it's so expensive as I'm paying for it Read Less

The best Vet around! I have been so impressed since I moved to this practice. Very friendly and professional. I was so impressed with how much knowledge the team had, and how I was able to have an ultrasound and keyhole liver sample by specialists all in one place. My last Vet was good and we thought we had done everything we could. But after seeing the emergency team we really got to the bottom of the issues and the improved medications have now made a big difference. It all started with needing the 24 hour service and this was a life-saver for my cat. I was updated throughout the day and night. My cat was kept in until fully recovered, had all the tests needed and has never been better. I would recommend to everyone. I'm not someone who usually writes reviews, in fact this may be my first, but I felt I really needed to let others know about this place. The head vet Kaveet/Kavit? was persistent about my cat having surgery, he barely even looked at her, and seemed so false/awkard when he did pay her 10seconds of attention. She is 17 years old, and I nearly agreed to the surgery just so I felt able to leave the room. He always had an argument/answer for any of my feelings or concerns and made me feel like a bad person for not wanting to put her through thousands of pounds worth of surgery. Money isn't a concern, but my cat's happiness and last few months with me are, she hates being away from home, and the surgery may have only given her a couple more months of life. I didn't think it was worth it, the stress of going through it may kill her anyway! After going elsewhere to someone who actually cared about my cat, and me, I can only imagine how many people have been bullied into doing things in the past. I have spoken to lots of people in the area who had similar experiences and ended up going to a different vets. One lady informed me that Kavet is actually not a specialist, but just has a certificate or something! I had no idea that was completely different to those vets you see on "Supervet" etc who have done years of training at top hospitals. Their website states they refer internally, so I suppose most people never realise they could be getting a higher level of care because its not offered. To think if I had agreed it could have cost me the same, and been done by someone less qualified than they said they were!!! Apparently they are rebranding, and i'm sure that will come with even higher prices, but I bet no one more experienced. Such as shame as this place used to have such a good reputation, I sincerely would not recommend. Read Less

We booked our kitten in with Henderson Keywood & Partners to have him neutered. He was due to enter a cat show two weeks later and we were worried about any shaved fur from the operation not growing back in time. My greatest thanks to all the staff at HK vets - they have been amazing. When other vets couldn't help, their free second opinion saved my cats life! They all have a real personal touch whilst being utterly professional, and what I (and my cat) really appreciate is that they all talk together about tricky cases so you're getting the benefit of all their great vet's brains. Major thanks go to Filipe and Tina, wonderful, caring vets capable of looking after my cat AND have me sob over them. Overall a really great practice. It's true that sometimes you do end up waiting but that's because they give you all the time your animal needs. A small price to pay. . Read Less

I have to applaud Philippe (sorry if I spelt it wrong). He has been amazing. He had a neurotic new mum to a 17 week old puppy, namely me calling him throughout the night and was so professional and calm. My dog was admitted at 5.30 in the morning and he and a lovely nurse were there to greet me. The entire experience so far has been faultless, I cannot say the same about me however. I hope they understand my hysteria. I could not recommend them more. I just hope my darling Phoebe is better soon but know she is in the best hands. Thankyou also Claire and the lovely nurse too. At this practice I have constantly faced delays. A typical wait can be 30 minutes. No one offers any explanation or apologies (without creating a fuss) and there seems to be enough staff wondering about to let you know. For such a premium price (which I have paid as it was close by) you would expect a timely service. I have waited 40 mins to book in a cat to be neutered and after causing a fuss as I needed to go to work I was told a vet had called in sick, they had left a reception room full of clients and had not thought to tell us. I have then had to wait 45 mins for a non emergency consultation and the cause was they were busy, not particularly satisfactory as I would have made another appointment if I had been forewarned or even told after 20 minutes it was going to be a long wait. Avoid this practice if there is another you can get to.Read Less

The surgery heard our concerns, and one of the partners personally did the surgery ensuring the incision was small and minimal hair was removed. Two weeks later, our little kitten did very well at the cat show!Read Less

Many thanks guys. Read Less
