BIG disappointment! I feel sad to put forward a poor review like this but feel it is important for me to be very honest & to help by informing other pet owners. I also feel that it is so important that veterinary practices should have a duty of care to our pets. Unfortunately this was not the case for our puppy. The best decision we recently made was to pull our pets out of Priory Vets. If you value the health of your pet think carefully about the vet practice you choose. We had a heart rendering experience that did not necessarily have to end up the way it did had our puppy been with a different vet practice. Our puppy was passed on to a series of vets whilst in the care of Priory Vets. The majority of the vets & some of their nurses did not act in a caring or professional manner. There was a definite lack of care & responsibility towards our puppy. We were misinformed about the health of our puppy & consequently she had to have her tail amputated. Luckily our pup managed to pull through but with no help from this practice. One of the locum’s professed to having seen our pup several times whilst in their care & yet when taking off her bandages that revealed her diseased tail which had broken away from itself) he then denied to ever seeing our pup! Bear in mind that we were informed by a nurse that there was only a minor tiny puncture to her tail just 1 day previously. We admitted our pup to this practice with diarrhoea & she ended nearly dying whilst in the care of this practice. She was saved by the RVC hospital in Herts who took the best care for her as should have been done in the first place. Our family detected that whilst in the care of this vet practice that our pup had become lame & had infected limbs this too happened when in their care, the vets didn’t even pick this up until we informed them. These problems occurred whilst in the care of this practice. We understand that if an animal contracts an infection that certain problems can occur. However, if this practice was unable to treat our pet properly, then a decision should have been made before waiting for all these other problems to occur & watch our poor puppy suffering. We are very disappointed that when our pup was referred to the RVC that Priory Vets did not even contact us to find out about her welfare. They appeared to wash their hands of our poor suffering pup until they were informed that she’d managed to pull through. We immediately pulled her out of Priory Vets. We are very sad about this situation that happened a few months ago & I have only now been able to write about this as I was too distressed about the way our pup was treated. Read Less

I have been with Priory Vets for about 6 years. I had two cats, both with kidney disease. During this time have used their surgeries at Tadworth, Banstead and Reigate including the vet hospital at Reigate. I cannot recommend them enough. The care they have taken with my cats' chronic condition could not have been better. They understand the needs of the owners as well as the patients. They have never recommended any procedures which were not necessary and have made sure that I had an understanding of my cat's condition. They are available at all hours including bank holidays and even Christmas day as was the case this Christmas (2016). Their veterinary clinic is in house so my cat's health records are available which would not be the case with a non in house hospital. Sadly one of my cats became terminal in early 2016 and the feline specialist vet made a home visit to euthanize him, sparing him the ordeal of yet another journey to the vet. Steve Carter is the vet who has had most input into my cat's treatment and I can't thank him enough. The other vets, nurses and admin staff from all the surgeries have been superb and I have the utmost confidence in them. They have helped me enormously in understanding and managing my cat's chronic kidney disease. Many thanks Priory and I wish you all a very happy New year. Read Less
