After being with this that practice for years and having no issues with them I have to say after delays interaction of dealing with rude ignorant and stupid people I won’t be with them going forward. There is a level of dumb and rude and incompetence that will test the patience of anyone, and today it appears that no one brought their intelligence to work.
Trying to have a conversation with ignorant people who believe that own stupidity will always be a losing battle and won that you’re waste a lot of time and energy on, as ultimately someone who stupid can’t understand their own stupidity, and I don’t have the time nor the crayons to explain in pictures for them.

We brought our very sick bunny that we only been in our family for 4 days. Levi our bunny had GI Status. We visited the vets 4 times. Each vet we have spoken to has been so helpful and understanding and informative. I cannot recommend it enough!
We want to especially thank the vet named Gavin, who spent lots of time explaining things to us and taking a caring approach. It felt like he was just as invested in our little bunny as we were. We explained we didn't have much money to spare as we already spent upwards of £100. He did his best to keep costs down, to take the time to speak to us.
Levi is making a slow recovery and is eating on his own again and playing with his toys. It's all thanks to the amazing vets and nurses at Gourley's.
If you want to take your pet to a place that will show the same compassion as you do for your pet. Then come here.

Absolutely shocking vets, only interested in getting money out of you And not interested n the animal at all!! Certainly did not appreciate the attitude of the vet nurse or jumped up receptionist that thought she was a vet which ever she was trying to make me feel like a bad dog owner for not having my bulldog spayed. Now my bulldog does not go out and we have absolutely no intention of breeding her as she is a very much loved member of the family and don’t feel it necessary for her to go through an operation where there is a great risk of losing her on the table as bulldogs have short flat faces and do not do well will anaesthetic. I do not appreciate being told that she should be spayed anyway as there are too many dogs out there having puppies with no homes to go to hang on a minute that is not me or in any way my fault I am a very very responsible dog owner and don’t think it’s fair to put my dog through that just because you do get some dogs Out there having puppies Please do not put me in that category!! This operation is also expensive which the receptionist did say so straight away they saw pound signs with this didn’t they!!! Deffinitely looking for another vets , have 0 faith in this one what so ever

They've been so good with our Frieda, and even tho the outcome was not the best, I feel she was given the best care everytime she was in. Caring and lovely staff. Def recommend.

Where do I start! Booked appointment at wrong clinic so I had to rearrange! Should have been a follow up but charged me £33 as to much time had lapsed! Charged me 200% mark up on prescriptions needed...
Where do I start! Booked appointment at wrong clinic so I had to rearrange! Should have been a follow up but charged me £33 as to much time had lapsed! Charged me 200% mark up on prescriptions needed. Could have bought them online at the 3rd of the price but they said I would need to pay them £18 for each prescription! I did once rate this vet but now your animal is just a cash cow! They simply look at ways of maxamising revinue. Not confident the treatment the gave my dog will Work as I have already tried similar shampoo. I pushed for something else but they said they can discuss trying something else if this doesn’t work!! No doubt more money but what can you do??

They do not fill in the insurance claim form correctly. You have insurance you still have to pay up front. They over charge for drugs your pet needs. And some you can get on line for pennies

After taking my dog to find out if she was pregnant I was charged 35 instantly for a lady to tell us she's having a phantom pregnancy and there are no pup's.. Well today I came home to half s puppy hanging out of my poor dog. She's got stuck half way for a little while and unfortunately it died at birth. Due to this information I was unexspecting and unprepared for this and feel this should never of happened. I'm gutted beyond belief. .. oh and wanted 1000 if they did a c section . There 500 or less at any other vet.

Shocking! Terrible experience. I collected my dog after her operation to find her with poo caked into her legs, tail and under belly, staff hadnt even been aware she was in this state which made me think she had been left alone in her own filth for a long time. After waitong two weeks for her results i still cant get them, constantly told the vet will ring, never happens! Told them how unhappy i was with the service n the receptionist couldnt of cared.less! Once they have your money they just dont seem to care at all. My advice to definatly look elsewhere!

Awful service by a senior vet named Paul M. Had to get DEFRA certificate for my cat, and the paperwork was incomplete. Had to travel back on another 2 occasions to get this sorted, a day and a half before travelling abroad. The vets didn't seem to care, even though I had spent well over 300 on the immunisations. Having to make a formal complaint to CVS.

I have been a client of Gourley's veterinary practice for over 30 years. Prior to this time my parents were customers of the same practice and I have, therefore, been involved with pets and the veterinary practice all of my life. My experience has without doubt been of a 1st class service. Since moving back to this area in 1985 I & my golden retrievers (8 in 30 years) plus cats & guinea pigs have always been treated with respect, professionalism & kindness. It is important to me that the vets and all of the staff involved in the care of my pets show understanding, compassion to both my pets and myself and above all put the welfare of my pet of paramount importance. The vets I wish to highlight who have got to know me over the years are Paul and Jacintha Manchester who are based at the Ashton surgery. Mandy Smith, the clinical director has helped and supported me over the years on both a professional and personal front through some very difficult and emotional times. She has become someone I can and do trust to give me her professional and unbiased view involving my pets enabling me to make the right decision for my pet. At times these have been heart rending decisions but which on reflection have been the right decision.
I have recently taken friends of mine to the surgery. They were staying with me when their 13.5 year collie needed veterinary treatment. They were impressed by the calmness and dedication of all the staff involved, thereby creating a calm and caring experience for their much loved pet who benefited from his visit and has now had surgery at his own practice in Shropshire and is doing well.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone at Gourley"s practice for their kindness and professionalism over many years. Thank you.

Can't even get in there. Eligible for help from RSPCA and Gourleys have decided not to accept RSPCA vouchers anymore due to the length of time it took to settle accounts. Can't comment on the service but obviously money orientated and not interested that my dog is in pain.

On top of that every time I go to this surgery I'm on time but we end up waiting for at least half an hour.
Today, for the first time since joining we arrived 10 minutes late. After 50 minutes of waiting the receptionist decided to tell me this was because I was ten minutes late and I would still have to wait a lot longer before the vet would see us - what a joke, poor communication, one rule for the surgery and another for the customer.

They do not fill in the insurance claim form correctly. You have insurance you still have to pay up front. They over charge for drugs your pet needs. And some you can get on line for pennies

After taking my dog to find out if she was pregnant I was charged 35 instantly for a lady to tell us she's having a phantom pregnancy and there are no pup's.. Well today I came home to half s puppy hanging out of my poor dog. She's got stuck half way for a little while and unfortunately it died at birth. Due to this information I was unexspecting and unprepared for this and feel this should never of happened. I'm gutted beyond belief. .. oh and wanted 1000 if they did a c section . There 500 or less at any other vet.

Shocking! Terrible experience. I collected my dog after her operation to find her with poo caked into her legs, tail and under belly, staff hadnt even been aware she was in this state which made me think she had been left alone in her own filth for a long time. After waitong two weeks for her results i still cant get them, constantly told the vet will ring, never happens! Told them how unhappy i was with the service n the receptionist couldnt of cared.less! Once they have your money they just dont seem to care at all. My advice to definatly look elsewhere!

Awful service by a senior vet named Paul M. Had to get DEFRA certificate for my cat, and the paperwork was incomplete. Had to travel back on another 2 occasions to get this sorted, a day and a half before travelling abroad. The vets didn't seem to care, even though I had spent well over 300 on the immunisations. Having to make a formal complaint to CVS.

I have been a client of Gourley's veterinary practice for over 30 years. Prior to this time my parents were customers of the same practice and I have, therefore, been involved with pets and the veterinary practice all of my life. My experience has without doubt been of a 1st class service. Since moving back to this area in 1985 I & my golden retrievers (8 in 30 years) plus cats & guinea pigs have always been treated with respect, professionalism & kindness. It is important to me that the vets and all of the staff involved in the care of my pets show understanding, compassion to both my pets and myself and above all put the welfare of my pet of paramount importance. The vets I wish to highlight who have got to know me over the years are Paul and Jacintha Manchester who are based at the Ashton surgery. Mandy Smith, the clinical director has helped and supported me over the years on both a professional and personal front through some very difficult and emotional times. She has become someone I can and do trust to give me her professional and unbiased view involving my pets enabling me to make the right decision for my pet. At times these have been heart rending decisions but which on reflection have been the right decision.
I have recently taken friends of mine to the surgery. They were staying with me when their 13.5 year collie needed veterinary treatment. They were impressed by the calmness and dedication of all the staff involved, thereby creating a calm and caring experience for their much loved pet who benefited from his visit and has now had surgery at his own practice in Shropshire and is doing well.
I would like to take this opportunity of thanking everyone at Gourley"s practice for their kindness and professionalism over many years. Thank you.

Can't even get in there. Eligible for help from RSPCA and Gourleys have decided not to accept RSPCA vouchers anymore due to the length of time it took to settle accounts. Can't comment on the service but obviously money orientated and not interested that my dog is in pain.

The worst vet surgery!
This surgery a lot more expensive that the surgery we used to use when we lived in London.

On top of that every time I go to this surgery I'm on time but we end up waiting for at least half an hour.
Today, for the first time since joining we arrived 10 minutes late. After 50 minutes of waiting the receptionist decided to tell me this was because I was ten minutes late and I would still have to wait a lot longer before the vet would see us - what a joke, poor communication, one rule for the surgery and another for the customer.
