General Info
Cotts has a team of veterinary surgeons, specialists and nurses who only carry out equine veterinary work.
We have two teams depending on the time of day or night you call. We will arrange a visit and always try to arrange a cheaper (shared) passing visit where nearby jobs are pooled in a round trip, allowing us to spread transport costs.
For out of hours, our reception team is in contact with our experienced duty vet living in Glamorgan. If specialist treatment or surgery is required, Cotts have a separate team on call in our Equine Hospital based in Narbeth, Pembrokshire.

We’ve been using Miss Bendelow for over 20 years for our cats and dogs. She genuinely cares about the animals and offers great advice. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

miss bendelow looked after our beloved dogs bailey and baxter for 15 years. she gave us good advice on many occasions. she does not overcharge as some vets do. many thanks.

My dog passed away on saturday the 3rd of february 2018 and I had an appointment booked for maddy my dog to have a home visit for her to be put to sleep on the tuesday the 6th . With all the upset of Maddy passing i forgot to let Mrs Bendelows surgery know of Maddys passing to which i received a phone call on the Tuesday morning with a very abrupt and rude receptionist saying and i quote “ well thanks for letting us know” very abrupt and rudely said no compassion what so ever. During the weeks leading up to Maddys passing she was misdiagnosed time after time with this so called caring vets as i came to realise when i took her to Pet Medics surgery one night as an after hours emergency everything MRs Bendelow told me was contradicted by Pet Medics. Overall no compassion as ive said earlier and not to be trusted with you’re pet !!!!

Worst service I've ever experienced from a vet. Made me and my sick dog wait outside in the freezing cold and when she did see us barely checked my dog over. But the office had no problem charging me ...
Worst service I've ever experienced from a vet. Made me and my sick dog wait outside in the freezing cold and when she did see us barely checked my dog over. But the office had no problem charging me 40 for the five minute visit. Asked her if she could prescribe something in addition to antibiotics to help my dogs inflamed and sore throat (ie a steroid or codeine cough syrup) to alleviate the pain and her response was that if it's a viral infection you shouldn't use steroids. However if she thought it was a viral infection why did she prescribe her antibiotics (aka for bacterial infections) to treat it!
