I joined this vet as I read reviews of them and heard they provide outstanding service. However, since I have joined this surgery they have not been the best at all. The staff are very rude for one. Always having a foul attitude any time I’ve entered the practise.
Also a few months ago my dog was told to come in and have the kennel cough vaccine. I had to pay £65 for this, and the vet gave me the syringe and told me to administer it myself…. A couple weeks later he got very ill and I assumed he contracted kennel cough. I then rang the practise where the receptionist proceeded to tell me that “Your dog 100% doesn’t have kennel cough because he would of got it in the first two weeks”.
I told her I wanted to book an appointment anyway and when my dog was consulted he did in fact have kennel cough…. I then had to pay another £60 for his course of antibiotics. These antibiotics have not worked, and now the practise told me I have to pay for yet another Consultation.
Even though if I never took my dog in the first place, he wouldn’t of got ill. I then asked the surgery if I could have a free consultation due to the poor level of service my dog and I have received, where they told me that it wasn’t possible and I still had to pay.
Every time I take my dog there with concerns, they always send me away saying he’s fine, and make me pay for the consultation. I have pumped so much money into this practise, and I have not received medical care for my dog that I would expect for such a hefty price.
Since my dog has left the vet two months ago, he’s been constantly ill and the vets can’t seem to give him the correct medication. If I had listened to the receptionist and not took my dog in, I fear to think what state he would be in now.
I do not recommend this vet, they’re only number one objective is to receive money. They don’t actually care about the well being of your dog, as long as your tapping your card on their machine at the end of the appointment. I would recommend you research another vet, where the animal is at the centre of the attention…not the profit.

Sadly today 19march 2018 after 13 years 6months our best friend flynn had to go to sleep and join our parents in heaven and wait for us ti join him
Dawn and my self would like to thank julia froome who saved his life in early years and then mr ta irving his son nigel and lauren irving who have all had a major part in making flynns life healthy
We would also like to thank all the nursing staff at the surgery as without these things would not tick
God bless you all for everything you ever done when flynn was ill we love you all thank you

Booked my adopted cat for a nail trim but he kept jumping out of the carrier before I had chance to close it up. This happened several times which meant several phone calls to Irvings to explain the situation. But they were very understanding and told me that if and when I could get Tiger into the carrier, just to fetch him in regardless of the time. Mind, it was only for nail clipping. But they are so nice, I am sure that if it was something more major they would have been just as much obliging.

Use Irving's for all our pets, find them very professional and not extortionate prices. We have had a very poorly young dog recently and Mr Irving even opened out of hours on a Sunday night as he knew we were worried and treated our dog. Lauren is a superstar and can't do enough for your pet, she treated our dog the best she could under the circumstances. Thank you all. We would highly recommend to all.

Absolutely outstanding! I previously took my pet to a franchise vet but things were not improving after 12 months. I decided to go to Irving on recommendation, I am sorry I didn't go sooner. I would never take my pet anywhere else now. These vets really are the best I've ever come across, caring, honest, accommodating and really do bend over backwards to help. My pets ailments were diagnosed within two visits after tests which was amazing as my pet could finally get the correct treatment. With the other vet I was still waiting after 12 months to find out what the mystery condition was. Thank you Irving you guys are amazing and the reception staff also give 100% every time!!

ABSOLUTE Rubbish please don't GO TO THIS VET!!! They were inconsiderate and the guy did not care about the wellbeing of our birds, he cared more about getting it done and getting us out. Our lovebirds just needed a beak trim. He was aggressive , unprofessional and mean! He just grabbed the lovebirds with no gloves or anything and uncaredfully snapped the end of my birds beak off so badly that it bled for hours and hasnt stopped since. My birds have been suffering since and when we took them back they said they were fine ! Disgusting and I cannot believe it, if you care about your pets don't take them there! They never refunded us either

Would like to say a big thank you to the two guys who helped to get the baby deer hit by a car on the motorway into my car (near Pilsworth slip road) :) A big 2 fingers up to the bastard driver who hit it and didnt stop!!! The young fella has had an xray and it showed no damage, he is sedated, been given painkillers and is in a dark room to recover from the shock so fingers crossed hes going to make it :) ps after all this had the worst interview ever but got the job... phewww! And a massive huge thank you to my vets for taking him in and looking after him so well :)

I took my 3 month old dwarf rabbit in for a nail trimming. They were more concerned about getting the job done than the well being of my rabbit.They cut two of her claws so close that they bled. She was distraught and scared. I was in and out in under 5 minutes.I know she was little and only and rabbit but I expected a better service and more care and attention. (She calmed down once I got to the car and opened her travel box and cuddled her for a good 20 minutes.) I will not be returning.

We have had a very poorly young dog recently and Mr Irving even opened out of hours on a Sunday night as he knew we were worried and treated our dog. Lauren is a superstar and can't do enough for your pet, she treated our dog the best she could under the circumstances. Thank you all. We would highly recommend to all.

Absolutely outstanding! I previously took my pet to a franchise vet but things were not improving after 12 months. I decided to go to Irving on recommendation, I am sorry I didn't go sooner. I would never take my pet anywhere else now. These vets really are the best I've ever come across, caring, honest, accommodating and really do bend over backwards to help. My pets ailments were diagnosed within two visits after tests which was amazing as my pet could finally get the correct treatment. With the other vet I was still waiting after 12 months to find out what the mystery condition was. Thank you Irving you guys are amazing and the reception staff also give 100% every time!!

Even when my baby girl had a 'little accident' they let me change her!! I know that bringing penny here means she is receiving the best care and attention! Thanks to all the staff at the surgery!

ABSOLUTE Rubbish please don't GO TO THIS VET!!! They were inconsiderate and the guy did not care about the wellbeing of our birds, he cared more about getting it done and getting us out. Our lovebirds just needed a beak trim. He was aggressive , unprofessional and mean! He just grabbed the lovebirds with no gloves or anything and uncaredfully snapped the end of my birds beak off so badly that it bled for hours and hasnt stopped since. My birds have been suffering since and when we took them back they said they were fine ! Disgusting and I cannot believe it, if you care about your pets don't take them there! They never refunded us either

Would like to say a big thank you to the two guys who helped to get the baby deer hit by a car on the motorway into my car (near Pilsworth slip road) :) A big 2 fingers up to the bastard driver who hit it and didnt stop!!! The young fella has had an xray and it showed no damage, he is sedated, been given painkillers and is in a dark room to recover from the shock so fingers crossed hes going to make it :) ps after all this had the worst interview ever but got the job... phewww! And a massive huge thank you to my vets for taking him in and looking after him so well :)

I took my 3 month old dwarf rabbit in for a nail trimming. They were more concerned about getting the job done than the well being of my rabbit.They cut two of her claws so close that they bled. She was distraught and scared. I was in and out in under 5 minutes.I know she was little and only and rabbit but I expected a better service and more care and attention. (She calmed down once I got to the car and opened her travel box and cuddled her for a good 20 minutes.) I will not be returning.
