This practice tended to my Springer Spaniel, Molly, for 17 years, and always with care, courtesy and tenderness. Each member of the full practice team has been a pleasure to meet, and I have always felt we could not be in better hands. When the sad moment came when old age and illness caught up with her, the compassion and respect shown by everyone - to both the dog and me - was exemplary, and the traumatic experience was made much more bearable by their humanity and efficiency. I really cannot give a higher recommendation. Thank you. Read Less

We had our Westie registered here. Earlier this year he was diagnosed with emphysema and put on steroids. Last month he suddenly went downhill and we knew it was time to let him go. The care & compassion shown to us at a very difficult time was fantastic. Our other dog, a Manchester Terrier, had a lump removed here last week and the care she received was fantastic. We won't go anywhere else and I recommend this practice to anyone. Thanks to all concerned. Read Less

Fantastic vets. We have a dog with congestive heart failure and Jackson and Nutall are very attentive to our dogs needs and will always offer the best form of help. We have had some troubling times as the disease is progressive however, with working with them and the fact they listened & endorsed what we wanted to try our dog has actually entered into a remissive state - this is highly unusual with this condition. We are now on reduced medication and our dog has surpassed the average life expectancy of dogs with the same condition as ours. Excellent every time and I would advise every time. Many thanks!! Euthanising Your Pet: If you have a distressed, anxious, agitated, aggressive or freighted animal and you have made the difficult decision to euthanise him, I would highly recommend that you insist that the vet sedates your animal prior to euthonising him! I The vet to came to my home to avoid stress for my treasured dog in his last moments, and given his history of being anxious and feisty during his visits to the vets, I would have expected the obvious thing for the vet to do would be to sedate him before proceeding with the final injection. However, the vet put a collar around his neck and proceeded straight to euthanise him- without sedating him first! This made my dog intensely yelp, squeal and struggle - even when the needle was taken out. Overall, Jackson and Nuttall (and the vet that euthanised my animal) have been a very good vets and I would have no hesitation at all on taking my animal in the future, however- I would INSIST on sedation first the second time around! Fabulous! My son found a mauled wild rabbit in Heaton Park and brought it home. I took it to the vet this morning. They said treatment would be free as it was a "stray." Unfortunately it had died by the time I got it to the vet. However, the vet saw instantly that it had myxomatosis and that it had been mauled because it was blind and hadn't seen what was about to attack it.
