Please do not take your pet to vets4pets Trafford park Manchester for any kind of surgical procedure. Our cat ozzy needed a neutering operation performed which has left him with a scrotum infection, previously with our other 5 cats we have took them to the pdsa for their neutering and spaying needs and have never had any problems at all, but as the pdsa are no longer performing any non essential surgeries due to the covid_19 lockdown restrictions we decided vets4pets Trafford park would be a safe option (how wrong we were). firstly we made an appointment and were told to bring him in for 9am, we arrived at 9am only to find the store closed until 10am, so we had to wait for over an hour with a very distressed ozzy. Eventually he was booked in and we left ozzy to have his operation. We picked him up later that day and everything seemed ok, we were told to keep checking his scrotum to see if they were getting hot (which we did and they were fine )we were told to expect some swelling, and also told to keep him in for the first 3 days but we decided to keep him in for 11 days just to be on the safe side. So on the 11th day we let him out, but when he came back 2 hours later his scrotum had split open on the incision site. We emailed vets4pets straight away with a photo. They rang back and asked us to bring ozzy back to check. On arrival at the store a nurse then took ozzy in and came back 20 mins later and told us he had a infection and she had given him a shot of antibiotics and painkiller and tried to pop the extrusion back in ( which was unsuccessful ) she went on to say that ozzy must have been licking his scrotum and that had caused the infection, we disputed this as there was no visible evidence at all that he had been licking them,we were then informed that they were charging us £26 for the consultation and injections and told to bring him back 3 days later and he will require being sedated and re operated on at the cost of a further £120 but were not given any antibiotic tablets for the 3 days until we brought him back, we questioned this the next day and were informed that the nurse that had seen ozzy and administered the antibiotic and pain killer injection was not allowed to prescribe antibiotics as only a vet can do this. So we went back to pick up a 5 day prescription at a cost of £21.95. To me it seems as though they will not take responsibility for their mistake and seemed more interested in trying to ramp up the money they take. A simple neutering which would have cost just over £20 at the pdsa has now ended up costing us £53 +£26.75 +£21.95 = just over £100, plus whatever additional cost for the pdsa to now fix his infection. We had 5 other cats which had been previously either neutered or spayed by the pdsa and we have never had any complications or extra costs involved whatsoever. Read Less

I've taken my cats to several vets over the years, until 4 years ago when I took them to Eva and the Vets for Pets Team. My one cat has digestive issues and Eva was the only one that suggested adding fibre to his diet. Costs roughly £15 every 6 months whereas the other vets wanted me to bring in him in costing between £50-100, which was every 6 - 7 weeks. A simple solution that keeps him healthy and much less stressed. He is also very agressive and previous vets would have to wear welding gloves, mask him, etc. however Eva and the other vets at Vets for Pets would take their time, not move too quickly, let him get used to the surrounding so he is comfortable, which means he isn't stressed and neither am I. My other cat was diagnosed had cancer and if wasn't for Eva and her caring team, she wouldn't be with us today. The team at Vets for Pets care so much about the pets they treat that they are willing to go the extra mile to ensure they are healthy. I wouldn't take my cats anywhere else. Read Less

Recently visited the store to have our Pomeranian treated for a rash she had on her bum.
