Hello. This is not to complain nor blame anyone but just to let people know that my 2 years old male rabbit, who has had all his vaccinations on the past years and everything was seemed fine, died 2 hours after getting the annual booster when I got him home. I am not sure what happened, but it was really upsetting and unexpected. I called the vets who told me there's no history of rabbits dying because of the vaccine but advised me to take the dead rabbit to check him. I was too distressed and upset to take back the body of the dead rabbit to the vets, plus nothing was gonna bring him back to me again. I am not blaming none, nor saying the vaccine was anything to do with his death because I don't know. But just wanted to state this just in case anything similar happens to other rabbit owners. My rabbit had already had all his vaccinations, including the new RHD2 vaccine. On friday was just the annual booster. But I did not spot any sign of concern at all the days before. Heartbreaking to say but we have just had to put our absolute gorgeous chocolate Doberman, Coco,to sleep. I can not thank all at Vets for pets Stockport, enough, especially Vet Jack Ferrario for his professionalism but kindness and compassion. All through the diagnostic stage, he was helping us every step, with his knowledge and further research. Question after question was answered with great patience. And then for the end, the young lady on reception, Kelly, thoughtfully took us to a private room, instead of being on full view of everyone, whilst we waited for Jack. She thought of everything from privacy to tissues. We were never once rushed and Coco fell asleep with her family all around her and we were given as much time as we needed with her. Pet cremation and ashes return was also arranged for us, on request.
