My greyhound Donny went in for a full leg amputation. At the Wigan branch . Surgery was booked for 12 noon. He didn't go in until after 5pm .they kept him in overnight unsupervised. He was found screaming and thrashing around in his own faeces after accidentally pulling out his iv pain meds.lord knows for how long but he had been left for at least 6 hrs looking at his records. I was not told about This until 2 days later after he died of sepsis.in an ooh vets in Huyton. Obviously due to being contaminated by his faeces . Had they given him iv antibiotics as a precaution after his wounds being contaminated by faeces, the sepsis might not have taken hold. Which was what the ooh vets were preparing for him but unfortunately by the time we got there he was already brain dead . I thought he was acting strangely because he'd been sent home with 5 different drugs. One being gabapentin. Little did I know he was dying in front of me! I confronted Richard Weston the owner and he let slip about Donny being found covered in his own faeces screaming and thrashing around in his cage. but he's so smug and basically dismissed us.saying you can't prove he died of sepsis Without an autopsy. Despite 2 separate vets diagnosing Donny over the phone just by his symptoms alone. He had all 5 symptoms. Only 2 are needed for a suspected sepsis infection. I told him we had buried Donny in the back garden and not had him cremated. He looked at me and said "I can't expect you to dig him up" hindsight I probably should have it would have wiped the smug look on his face at least! I complained in writing but they passed it over to their vds ( lawyers) and told us not to contact them again. The vds said that Anrich acted appropriately! of course they would say that they are their clients! Also. I asked Mr weston why no one is watching over the animals overnight..as in Donnys case after a major surgery. ..his reply.. "COST"! So basically, to hell with your pets safety as long as we make a profit. I spoke to another person since who's dog had a similar situation A couple of years previous her dog Stayed overnight. They checked in on the dog in the evening before they went home, It was panting so they just put the ac and fan on. Left and The following morning they found it dead in the cage! I would never recommend Anrich to anyone . Mr Weston would not take responsibility for Donny’s suffering and death but he admitted mistakes were made and he would speak to all of the vets nurses involved and make changes but because this had happened before Donny's case and he is only apparently concerned with profit I'm betting they still don't have overnight care. They have a vet who lives on site but its a big building and he obviously didn't hear Donny screaming frantically in agony!
If you need a pet to stay in overnight at any vets make sure they really do have someone there to care for the animals incase there is an emergency! Better still avoid Anrich! I was unable to post a review on Facebook as I had made a comment after seeing one of their posts asking, "what do you think happens when your pet stays here overnight" ( it was bragging about having comfy heated beds etc) I commented that "I'd like to know what happened to my dog overnight there". It was hastily removed and I was blocked so if you see the FB reviews you'll notice they're all good, the rest have been removed as I believe you can remove bad reviews on Fb . My poor boy died in agony last April and I'm still having nightmares over it!

We're do I start my poor Bella was butchered from the start the moment I took her here she suffered so much in the hands of them !! I was told my dog had a mass cell tumor so after that being confirmed she was put under anaesthetic for the second time in one week bearing in mind she is 7 years old and overweight so after her second operation she had skin flap surgery to remove the tumor then 3 day's later they removed her drains knowing full well they we're still leaking and needed to be left in 2 day's later she started to open up so I took her back because low and be hold they left part of a drain in that caused bad infection that made it open!! No apologies or no charge to fixs it because they caused the problem so I took her back spent another £50 on honey and dressing and after 2 day's the hole got bigger and bigger so then another £200 that then went to nearly £400 for her to have it closed back up in the worst way possible making her skin so tight I was blamed for that opening when I kept her still the whole night, it then opened back up because they had left infection after infection under her skin that was causing fluid buildup so my partner rang them up and told them I was give two options one was to operate again for the 3rd time in 3 week's it was to cost £2,500 to remove her skin on her belly and use that on her back that would then make her suffer even more then she already was plus the skin wouldn't of took because of all the fluid under her skin would of made the new skin fall off they then pushed and pushed for me to put her to sleep over and over again I was asked when I wanted to book her in, so I took her to another vets for a second opinion he straight away said that my dog is not being put down he checked her over got her in the day after and operated one last time he drained all the fluid did a swab to find out what infection it was he then took all the stitches out cleaned it all up and put hooks in her to hold dressing and my god my Bella came out so happy wagging her tail belly rubs the lot, every time she came out of anrich he was crying and could barely walk she suffered so much in there hands!!! So as I go 3 weeks of honey saline solution dressing wet and dry she is completely healed up and back to being her normal self I can't say every vet is bad in that practice because one did help my cat but my god stay away from Emily because she butchered my dog from start to finish I've got videos and pictures to prove how bad she suffered and I have pictures of how she was when she came out of my now new vets and she's smiling on all of them so if you do have a dog or cat in the same situation as my Bella then please go to standish vets next to Albert's the skills are amazing and they are well price there not in it for the money

I want to say a big thank you to everyone at Anrich Vets Wigan, especially a big thanks to Lisa and Claire who have been amazing in looking after Riley and continuously making an effort to update us on his progress.
Riley is now home and doing well after being very poorly for 5 days now. It’s been a very upsetting and stressful time for us and Anrich have been amazing in reassuring us.
I would highly recommend them.

This vets is fantastic, was quoted a ridiculous price from the vet who we used to go to and they left my cat in a lot of pain, Went to Anrich for second opinion, Chavdar got her out of pain immediately and operated on her within days over the Xmas period, the whole process was by far more affordable with better care and after care. Needless to say will never use another vet other than Anrich.

We travelled from Birmingham with our labrador, Sheba, after also being given a ridiculous quote locally.
I spoke on the phone with James over a Bank Holiday weekend prior to making the appointment and he could not have been more helpful. He attempted on our behalf to deal directly with Animal 'Friends ' insurance who unfairly rejected our claim. I suggest that true animal lovers avoid them at all costs. Back to NW MRI, we arrived 30 minutes early and were seen straight away. Sheba was treated very well, as were we. The bill was exactly what we had been quoted, £960 for 2 CT scans, compared to £1800 to £2000 for just 1 scan here in the midlands.
Sheba tolerated the anaesthetic very well, far better than when she had one a month ago in Birmingham for an x-ray. Perhaps NWMRI use something different?
Although the results were very worrying to us, we cannot recommend NWMRI highly enough.

I would definitely grade this vets top marks all round. They were honest, compassionate and understanding of every need of my 19 year German Shepherd. Unfortunately I recently had to make the decision to put him to sleep and I found the whole team at Anrich supportive and empathetic throughout. I would like to say a massive big thank you to them all and have no reservations recommending them to anyone. Thank you for the lovely gesture after my pets death I really appreciate everything you have done and going the extra mile made the difference to me without any doubt.

I would definitely not recommend this vets. It is purely driven for monetary, not compassion for animals. I visited last Tuesday for a long standing problem( ear infection). I was told I needed to see a vet as the drops prescribed every single episode would not be prescribed without a consultation. Which I attended, my dog had her ears examined. I was charged for drops and consultation fee. I was told to rebook for today for a check up. I ve just been charged a further consultation fee And cost of an ear wash which amounted to just under £50. This consultation was the same repeated information as the first and a quick glimpse of the ears. To say I m unhappy with the service is an understatement. I will never visit this vets again. It’s daylight robbery!!!!!!!!!!!

I have used anrich vets for the last 3 and a half years and have always been satisfied with their services. Recently my dog had 11 pups and the staff have been extremely helpful and friendly during every visit. Giving advice on the phone as well. Always willing to help and answer any questions that I had. They also have excellent grooming services, my dog Bella loves going and they always make a fuss of her . I wouldn't use any other vets as I feel that they have my pets welfare at heart. Thank you to all staff for all your help.

I have been a client of Anrich Vets since 1982, and throughout that time, I have always been extremely impressed with the high standard of care and knowledge and professionalism shown by the staff, they are approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and treat the patients as if they were their own pets. The practise offers an extremely high level of equipment which would usually only be found at a referral centre, MRI scanner, a hydro therapy pool and treadmill as well as a wide range of diagnostic equipment, this coupled with the in-depth knowledge of the veterinary surgeons and nursing staff ensure that the patient receives the highest level of treatment at all times. Their is also a professional grooming service within the practise where a high level of skill is displayed. Their is no other practise in the area that offers such a comprehensive services. I would not even consider going to another practise having been a client for 34 years and being completely satisfied and impressed by the high level of care and compassion afforded to both the patients and the clients alike. I would highly recommend Anrich Vets to anyone.

Well What can I say...Anrich vets are amazing, my dog was run over and broke his leg and the care Stanley received was out of this world. Richard did an amazing job with his leg even though Stanley my St.Bernard broke 2 casts while in recovery.....sorry Richard :)
It's not just a vets where they treat your pets, they also make you feel at home and at ease.
I wouldn't go anywhere else with my pets

Best vets to go to. My dog recently had to be neutered, after returning to pick Jack up i was told they had found a tumour, i was distraught but happy they had got it all out. Cost 180, was worth it as Jack means the world to me. All staff are friendly and helpful not only at the practice but also if you need to ring them and need advice. I love the fish they has in the pond. One of them in particular is really friendly and will nibble your fingers.

My greyhound Donny went in for a full leg amputation. At the Wigan branch . Surgery was booked for 12 noon. He didn't go in until after 5pm .they kept him in overnight unsupervised. He was found screaming and thrashing around in his own faeces after accidentally pulling out his iv pain meds.lord knows for how long but he had been left for at least 6 hrs looking at his records. I was not told about This until 2 days later after he died of sepsis.in an ooh vets in Huyton. Obviously due to being contaminated by his faeces . Had they given him iv antibiotics as a precaution after his wounds being contaminated by faeces, the sepsis might not have taken hold. Which was what the ooh vets were preparing for him but unfortunately by the time we got there he was already brain dead . I thought he was acting strangely because he'd been sent home with 5 different drugs. One being gabapentin. Little did I know he was dying in front of me! I confronted Richard Weston the owner and he let slip about Donny being found covered in his own faeces screaming and thrashing around in his cage. but he's so smug and basically dismissed us.saying you can't prove he died of sepsis Without an autopsy. Despite 2 separate vets diagnosing Donny over the phone just by his symptoms alone. He had all 5 symptoms. Only 2 are needed for a suspected sepsis infection. I told him we had buried Donny in the back garden and not had him cremated. He looked at me and said "I can't expect you to dig him up" hindsight I probably should have it would have wiped the smug look on his face at least! I complained in writing but they passed it over to their vds ( lawyers) and told us not to contact them again. The vds said that Anrich acted appropriately! of course they would say that they are their clients! Also. I asked Mr weston why no one is watching over the animals overnight..as in Donnys case after a major surgery. ..his reply.. "COST"! So basically, to hell with your pets safety as long as we make a profit. I spoke to another person since who's dog had a similar situation A couple of years previous her dog Stayed overnight. They checked in on the dog in the evening before they went home, It was panting so they just put the ac and fan on. Left and The following morning they found it dead in the cage! I would never recommend Anrich to anyone . Mr Weston would not take responsibility for Donny’s suffering and death but he admitted mistakes were made and he would speak to all of the vets nurses involved and make changes but because this had happened before Donny's case and he is only apparently concerned with profit I'm betting they still don't have overnight care. They have a vet who lives on site but its a big building and he obviously didn't hear Donny screaming frantically in agony!
If you need a pet to stay in overnight at any vets make sure they really do have someone there to care for the animals incase there is an emergency! Better still avoid Anrich! I was unable to post a review on Facebook as I had made a comment after seeing one of their posts asking, "what do you think happens when your pet stays here overnight" ( it was bragging about having comfy heated beds etc) I commented that "I'd like to know what happened to my dog overnight there". It was hastily removed and I was blocked so if you see the FB reviews you'll notice they're all good, the rest have been removed as I believe you can remove bad reviews on Fb . My poor boy died in agony last April and I'm still having nightmares over it!

We're do I start my poor Bella was butchered from the start the moment I took her here she suffered so much in the hands of them !! I was told my dog had a mass cell tumor so after that being confirmed she was put under anaesthetic for the second time in one week bearing in mind she is 7 years old and overweight so after her second operation she had skin flap surgery to remove the tumor then 3 day's later they removed her drains knowing full well they we're still leaking and needed to be left in 2 day's later she started to open up so I took her back because low and be hold they left part of a drain in that caused bad infection that made it open!! No apologies or no charge to fixs it because they caused the problem so I took her back spent another £50 on honey and dressing and after 2 day's the hole got bigger and bigger so then another £200 that then went to nearly £400 for her to have it closed back up in the worst way possible making her skin so tight I was blamed for that opening when I kept her still the whole night, it then opened back up because they had left infection after infection under her skin that was causing fluid buildup so my partner rang them up and told them I was give two options one was to operate again for the 3rd time in 3 week's it was to cost £2,500 to remove her skin on her belly and use that on her back that would then make her suffer even more then she already was plus the skin wouldn't of took because of all the fluid under her skin would of made the new skin fall off they then pushed and pushed for me to put her to sleep over and over again I was asked when I wanted to book her in, so I took her to another vets for a second opinion he straight away said that my dog is not being put down he checked her over got her in the day after and operated one last time he drained all the fluid did a swab to find out what infection it was he then took all the stitches out cleaned it all up and put hooks in her to hold dressing and my god my Bella came out so happy wagging her tail belly rubs the lot, every time she came out of anrich he was crying and could barely walk she suffered so much in there hands!!! So as I go 3 weeks of honey saline solution dressing wet and dry she is completely healed up and back to being her normal self I can't say every vet is bad in that practice because one did help my cat but my god stay away from Emily because she butchered my dog from start to finish I've got videos and pictures to prove how bad she suffered and I have pictures of how she was when she came out of my now new vets and she's smiling on all of them so if you do have a dog or cat in the same situation as my Bella then please go to standish vets next to Albert's the skills are amazing and they are well price there not in it for the money

I want to say a big thank you to everyone at Anrich Vets Wigan, especially a big thanks to Lisa and Claire who have been amazing in looking after Riley and continuously making an effort to update us on his progress.
Riley is now home and doing well after being very poorly for 5 days now. It’s been a very upsetting and stressful time for us and Anrich have been amazing in reassuring us.
I would highly recommend them.

This vets is fantastic, was quoted a ridiculous price from the vet who we used to go to and they left my cat in a lot of pain, Went to Anrich for second opinion, Chavdar got her out of pain immediately and operated on her within days over the Xmas period, the whole process was by far more affordable with better care and after care. Needless to say will never use another vet other than Anrich.

We travelled from Birmingham with our labrador, Sheba, after also being given a ridiculous quote locally.
I spoke on the phone with James over a Bank Holiday weekend prior to making the appointment and he could not have been more helpful. He attempted on our behalf to deal directly with Animal 'Friends ' insurance who unfairly rejected our claim. I suggest that true animal lovers avoid them at all costs. Back to NW MRI, we arrived 30 minutes early and were seen straight away. Sheba was treated very well, as were we. The bill was exactly what we had been quoted, £960 for 2 CT scans, compared to £1800 to £2000 for just 1 scan here in the midlands.
Sheba tolerated the anaesthetic very well, far better than when she had one a month ago in Birmingham for an x-ray. Perhaps NWMRI use something different?
Although the results were very worrying to us, we cannot recommend NWMRI highly enough.

I would definitely grade this vets top marks all round. They were honest, compassionate and understanding of every need of my 19 year German Shepherd. Unfortunately I recently had to make the decision to put him to sleep and I found the whole team at Anrich supportive and empathetic throughout. I would like to say a massive big thank you to them all and have no reservations recommending them to anyone. Thank you for the lovely gesture after my pets death I really appreciate everything you have done and going the extra mile made the difference to me without any doubt.

I would definitely not recommend this vets. It is purely driven for monetary, not compassion for animals. I visited last Tuesday for a long standing problem( ear infection). I was told I needed to see a vet as the drops prescribed every single episode would not be prescribed without a consultation. Which I attended, my dog had her ears examined. I was charged for drops and consultation fee. I was told to rebook for today for a check up. I ve just been charged a further consultation fee And cost of an ear wash which amounted to just under £50. This consultation was the same repeated information as the first and a quick glimpse of the ears. To say I m unhappy with the service is an understatement. I will never visit this vets again. It’s daylight robbery!!!!!!!!!!!

I have used anrich vets for the last 3 and a half years and have always been satisfied with their services. Recently my dog had 11 pups and the staff have been extremely helpful and friendly during every visit. Giving advice on the phone as well. Always willing to help and answer any questions that I had. They also have excellent grooming services, my dog Bella loves going and they always make a fuss of her . I wouldn't use any other vets as I feel that they have my pets welfare at heart. Thank you to all staff for all your help.

I have been a client of Anrich Vets since 1982, and throughout that time, I have always been extremely impressed with the high standard of care and knowledge and professionalism shown by the staff, they are approachable, friendly, knowledgeable and treat the patients as if they were their own pets. The practise offers an extremely high level of equipment which would usually only be found at a referral centre, MRI scanner, a hydro therapy pool and treadmill as well as a wide range of diagnostic equipment, this coupled with the in-depth knowledge of the veterinary surgeons and nursing staff ensure that the patient receives the highest level of treatment at all times. Their is also a professional grooming service within the practise where a high level of skill is displayed. Their is no other practise in the area that offers such a comprehensive services. I would not even consider going to another practise having been a client for 34 years and being completely satisfied and impressed by the high level of care and compassion afforded to both the patients and the clients alike. I would highly recommend Anrich Vets to anyone.

Well What can I say...Anrich vets are amazing, my dog was run over and broke his leg and the care Stanley received was out of this world. Richard did an amazing job with his leg even though Stanley my St.Bernard broke 2 casts while in recovery.....sorry Richard :)
It's not just a vets where they treat your pets, they also make you feel at home and at ease.
I wouldn't go anywhere else with my pets

Best vets to go to. My dog recently had to be neutered, after returning to pick Jack up i was told they had found a tumour, i was distraught but happy they had got it all out. Cost 180, was worth it as Jack means the world to me. All staff are friendly and helpful not only at the practice but also if you need to ring them and need advice. I love the fish they has in the pond. One of them in particular is really friendly and will nibble your fingers.
