More a 0☆ Had a few experiences with this practice. I have found them to be more about convenience and making money rather than the best interests of animals. I recently found 3 baby seagulls all had fell off a roof and they had injuries. One a broken wing, the other was limping & i suspected a broken link on the third. This practice were only concerned about getting paid and wouldn't even look at them before I got a reference number off the RSPCA so they would get paid. I got the reference & the Secretary said leave them here we will take a look at them and contact me. Before I could even drive away she rang me and said the vet said there's nothing he can do for them he would euthanize them. I disagreed and pointed out that they were minor injuries for 2 of them why can't you treat them she said they don't have a bird specialist or medication for birds. Advised taking them to Summerhill vets if i wanted to come pick them up. It was a boiling hot day the poor birds were in that cardboard box injured and scared but they didn't care. Lucky for these birds i took their flippant advice. Summerhill vets took them straight off me unboxed them put them in a cage with food and water and after assessing them they miraculously recovered, well 2 of them did the other had to be put to sleep as the wing was severely fractured. Either way i felt the love & compassion from them and so did these 2 seagulls who nearly got their life ended short for being an inconvenience to an inconsiderate vet practice. "If it dont make money it dont make sense" 😉😉 I felt the fake corruption before I even witnessed it. Brighter note * The birds were taken to a nearby sanctuary and cared for until they could fly and were released in the area i found them as i made sure to allocate. Read Less

I took my cat to Vets for Pets to be put down when her cancer got bad. I cannot go into detail here about what a dreadful ending they gave her, suffice it to say they made her go wild and then grabbed her, SLAMMED her on the table and carried on like it was normal. It was so utterly cruel that I could not face going in there to collect her ashes. The vet on Stow Hill which I now use is brilliant. When my dog had to be put down they went the extra mile to make his ending as painless as possible for him and for me. Do yourself and your pet a favour, avoid Vets for Pets like the plague.
