Our team comprises 8 Vets, each with special interests, together with 6 RCVS-trained Nurses, and 10 Office and Reception staff, ready to assist with making your visit to our surgeries as comfortable as possible.
Our own vets provide emergency treatment every day and night of the year, including Christmas.

We are writing this, still feeling very sad and emotional at the loss of our beloved Cavalier King Charles Honey, but want to express our very sincere thanks to all the staff at Porth-y-Carne Street in Usk who over the passed 12 years have been there to advise us on all aspects of Honey’s health and needs, from her chip to her Passport and her annual treatments. In particular we would especially like to thank Emily and the practice nurse who were a great comfort at the time of her passing.

My new horse went down with colic first call out the meds didn't stop it and second call out he had few more things done by a young vet I haven't seen before his name is Josh he was excellent explaine...
My new horse went down with colic first call out the meds didn't stop it and second call out he had few more things done by a young vet I haven't seen before his name is Josh he was excellent explained everything and gave a follow up call the next morning to see how he was doing, Arnie is now bright and happy Excellent service

Have my cat Erik excellent care when he was rushed in with acute severe breathing difficulties. He was stabilised, oxygenated, x-rayed and treated overnight. Brought him in a few days later for a checkup and to have his nails clipped. The vet we had was very kind and understanding and was very good with Erik who gets extremely distressed. Can't fault the care he'd received. It's the first time I've used this vets after moving here and I was impressed with their care and professionalism.

I have been coming to Usk vets for nearly twenty years now. My yongest female was spayed on the 3rd of October. The nurse that seen to snow on entering into the vets for her spaying operation was very good and very thorough with in forming myself about snows after care. We travel from Newport to Usk to bring our dogs to Usk vets. We have always been very happy with the care and attention all our 4 dogs have received over the years.

with a very poorly dog and 2 week old puppies i called the out of hours vet at 7am. we arranged to meet at the surgery. we were there, with the vet and diagnosed and dog admitt...
absolutely fantastic.
with a very poorly dog and 2 week old puppies i called the out of hours vet at 7am. we arranged to meet at the surgery. we were there, with the vet and diagnosed and dog admitted by 7.30am. how could you possibly fault that? she was on the mend, sent home with all the medication needed back home to her puppies by 1pm.
it could have been extremely serious had not the vet been on the ball and immediately knew the course of action to take.
i only have great things to say about all of the staff here. they are amazing. thank you.

Having used usk vets for the last 30 years for a whole range of domestic and large animals, I am used to a friendly and knowledgeable service. They recently surpassed all my expectations when my pet whippet was very badly bitten by one of my pointers. After hours spent in theatre with vets Hannah and Laura and nurse Ruth and lots of TLC she has made an amazing recovery and we are forever grateful.

Usk Veterinary Centre will have you starve your dog and insist you drop him off before 9am, they will then lock him in a cage all day (even after being told he is never away from me and is never locked up) and do nothing, I only know this because I rang at 4.30pm after not hearing from them all day. I am aware emergencies happen and had I been kept informed would have brought him home and re-booked for another day. They were also willing to give a general after 5pm and still discharge the same day, when my dog had already been stressed all day. I obviously had a few words and went and got Gumby and will be finding a new vets who don't increase an animals stress!! I brought home that day a stressed, thirsty, hungry dog who was also bursting for the loo. This practice sees pound signs and profit margins not a loved animal. I had no phone call the day my dog was under there so called care but had 8 missed calls the next day after I had made a fuss, I will be adding harassment to my RCVS complaint.

I have been coming to Usk vets for nearly twenty years now. My yongest female was spayed on the 3rd of October. The nurse that seen to snow on entering into the vets for her spaying operation was very good and very thorough with in forming myself about snows after care. We travel from Newport to Usk to bring our dogs to Usk vets. We have always been very happy with the care and attention all our 4 dogs have received over the years.
