My little beautiful girl Pip 13 years old Jack Russell became very unwell, when we knew it was time to let her go (couldn’t see her suffer anymore) this practice were amazing. From the minute of me calling to say what had happened, us when we arrived, to the process of putting her to sleep, they were kind, caring, sympathetic and very good at making this bearable, they even sent a card with forget me nots to plant in her memory.
Could not thank them enough for their excellent personal touch and support, it is really heart-breaking.

4.6 Chandler's Ford Veterinary Surgery has been at the same place since Davis & Aylott a well known veterinary practice in the area now under Mr Montgomery & Mr Bayer (sorry can't pronounce or spell all of his name) also a practice in Boyatt Wood Eastleigh SO50 4SY near the shopping centre Shakespeare Road. They've a OOH emergency service at Chandler's Ford & can attend either but OOH is at Chandler's Ford only coz it's better equipped for emergencies, problem if you can't drive! Also wish they'd have clinics at wkends, they've open surgery Saturday mornings. I've taken my pets here for decades. Only other moan is vet fees but that's general for all vet practices. A must to have good pet insurance nowadays! Also loads of newly qualified vets problem is they don't stay there for long before moving on.

Chandlers Ford Vets are absolutely amazing. The experience they provided for my dogs was kind, thorough and good value. When it was time to say our final goodbyes to our dogs the end of life care was the best it could be. I cannot thank Chandlers Vets enough for all the care they have provided and would definitely recommend them to friends

I have used this vets for more than twenty years with Various pets. My dog who would have been 13 in July 2017 has been treated many times in her lifetime by Chandlers Ford vets and I have never had any reason to question their care or treatment. Unfortunately we had to make the very difficult decision to end her life yesterday due to her kidneys failing. My last wish for her was to die at home and not on the hard metal vets table which she feared so much. Unfortunately the timing of her illness did not come at the right time. It was a Friday afternoon. I was informed that to have that final wish was not possible as home visits were only available at 11am from Monday's to Friday's, therefore my only option was to let her suffer and have her pain killers and drips kept going over the weekend to enable us to allow her to die at home with her family. When I asked if they knew of any other vets who may be able to offer me the choice I was told that they didn't think there was any other vets in the area that could help as they all operated the same. Luckily I wasn't taking this as the last answer. How could I possibly let my dog continue to suffer over the whole weekend, it was not an option. Luckily I found another local vet who came to our home, the vet and nurse were so caring, they did not exploit the fact that we had never used them and gave our lovely little girl the ending she so deserved. I would not recommend this vet to any of my friends as end of life care is so important, unfortunately if your pet becomes ill at an inconvenient time your choices will be taken away by this veterinary surgery. I started to use this veterinary surgery when owed by Davies and Aylott I totally agree with other reviews that the money has become more important than the animal.

This veterinary practice is surviving on the reputation acquired when it was owned by Mr Davies and Mr Aylott!
Mr Beyers Van Niekerk is now the owner of the business together with his wife, and appears only interested in providing care for animals of owners who can afford to pay their high fees. When my cat was given a triple booster vaccine rather than the double that I had booked to have (having telephoned twice, once to check fees and second to confirm I had checked with the cattery and only wished to have a double booster), upon querying this, I was summoned into one of the consultation rooms by Mr Van Niekerk to be told that they do not want people like myself, who phone around for prices, and that I should go elsewhere in future.
Having been subject to such rudeness and arrogance, I had no intention of attending the practice again. I was shocked therefore to receive a letter through my door two days later, requesting that I employ the services of another veterinary practice!
Whilst some reviews on here may praise animal care, customer care is sadly, greatly lacking!

Chandlers Ford Vets are absolutely amazing. The experience they provided for my dogs was kind, thorough and good value. When it was time to say our final goodbyes to our dogs the end of life care was the best it could be. I have used this vets for more than twenty years with Various pets. My dog who would have been 13 in July 2017 has been treated many times in her lifetime by Chandlers Ford vets and I have never had any reason to question their care or treatment. Unfortunately we had to make the very difficult decision to end her life yesterday due to her kidneys failing.
