I would like to say a big thank you to you all. I came to see you on sat as my staffy Dottie is so terrified of firework & being nearly 13 I was so worried she would have a heart attack though fright I needed something to help her. Anyway I cant remember which vet it was but he was brilliant with Dottie & gave me some great meds that helped her so much she even went to sleep! Wonderful compassionate care for our cat Vee when we brought her to out-of-hours one evening - Jonathan was very kind and helpful. A very caring professional practice. Their main concern is their patients, they say it as it is. Their patients are in safe hands. When the time came recently for a decision to be made that was horrendous and very painful, they explained the situation in great detail which made the decision a lot easier. We phoned the surgery on Wednesday evening when our Border Collie 'Kali' suddenly became very ill and the reception staff were excellent. We don't live in the area any more and were staying in our caravan on a small site in Monkwood, South of Alton having returned for my mothers funeral. We saw Antonia, the vet on duty at the time who admitted Kali and worked overnight to try to save her but sadly she lost her fight at 4am on the Thursday. Kali would have been 13 on July 2nd and has been in obedience competition, reaching Championship status and gaining an Obedience Warrant before she was 3 years old, She was our little Champion who fought a great fight but lost this one. I would like to nominate Antonia for a 'Caring Vet Award' if there is one. Her thought and attention to detail was above and beyond the call and we were very assured by her attitude that we were leaving Kali in the best possible hands but, thanks also to everyone who made us feel welcome.Read Less

We had to say a very tearful goodbye to our beloved black labrador, Bentley ("the bear"), this evening. The service from St. Peter's was exceptional, it was the most peaceful and beautiful end for our precious dog's life. We are so grateful for the care he received from Antonia in these last 4 weeks (and from John and Billie-Jo over the last 11 years). These guys are amazing! They are personable, knowledgeable, caring and most of all extremely good at what they do. I've been in many times over the years with all sorts of dogs and I think I've seen every vet in the practice... They are all lovely! Even when called out late at night, they are there smiling (on the outside, anyway!) and ready to deal with whatever the issue might be.
