General Info
We care for dogs, cats and a variety of small pets at our spacious purpose built small animal hospital practice. Our fully equipped purpose built equine unit, adjacent to the hospital, caters for all the needs of horses and ponies.
Animed is the only registered veterinary hospital practice in the Fareham area. The Hospital is open, by appointment, 24hrs a day 365 days of the year for our registered clients.
There is a network of five Animed Branch Clinics at Portsmouth, Cowplain, Gosport, Locksheath and Hedge End providing local care in the South Hampshire area. Trained receptionists are available to help you at our branch clinics during their opening hours. We are a team of 14 veterinary surgeons supported by 12 nurses, 18 receptionists and 7 administration staff dedicated to pet health and care, equine practice and to attaining and maintaining the highest possible standards.

We have used Animed in Cowplain and the Shedfield hospital for over ten years now first for dogs now for our Rabbits and I cannot sing their praises highly enough! Sadly our bunny Poppet was admitted on Wednesday and we had to put her to sleep last night. During her stay I had constant contact on her condition and I know everything possible was done for her. Nothing is too much trouble and every time we have sadly lost a much loved pet the compassion and support has been second to none. Thank you

Had to being my ferret here as an emergency as she was being sick (despite being on medication). Lovely helpful vet and nurse and the bill was fine even though it was a Sunday.

My dog recently got admitted to the hospital, unfortunately there was nothing to do for her and sadly she had to be put to sleep. The vet and nurse on 05/08/16 at night was very understanding gave us the time to spend with her and explained procedures. The vet asked when we was ready, very caring towards both my dog and us as a family. Couldn't thank them both enough for all the time they spent with us and my dog!
