Was impressed with the practise at first. But my opinion has changed. I know it’s tough times for all at the moment but my dog was due her year check up in April and this still hasn’t been seen I had an appointment a week ago for vaccinations and had a call 15 minutes before (sat in the car park) to say hour delay so best to re-arrange for another date this rather frustrating as my dog has other complications with her legs and waiting on operations. I feel it is very unorganised at present and will be changing vets once operations at southern county specialists has been completed

The worst vet ever. The first check up took over an hour in total with waiting and the check up. They left me and a cat in basket on the front of the vets, on a main road for 20 minutes. This is a nervous cat. There were many dogs around too in the "queue". The second vaccine took 2 hours. 2 hours? Unbelievable. They also asked me to provide a diagnosis for the cat's vomiting??? They then gave the wrong vaccine so I have to go back (not to them obviously) for another 2 trips. They have given me pain relief in tablet form without checking if I was happy to administer tablets - or showing me how. They ran out of one of the medications and could only give me a small amount and so I have to re-order next week. Wow, I cannot believe that a business is run this badly.

My beautiful boy was put to rest on the 17th October. It happened all of a sudden, 30 mins before I was due to leave for work. He suffered a major stroke and was in so much pain. I called the vet as soon as they opened. They were so nice. As soon as I arrived they let me see the vet straight away. The vet was so lovely and totally considerate. For this I cannot thank enough.

I tried several vet practices but have been with Cristopher Carter for about 12 years niw and would not go anywhere else.
Quite a few years ago I had a very poorly dog who was 12 and Chris was just about to put him down when he asked if he could try one more thing. That one more thing not only gave my dog an extra year of life but he was like a puppy again. He had another year if quality life. I can never thank Chris enough for that.
I now have 2 cats and another dog. They are quite happy going to Chris Carters surgery.

The best care I would wish for my dogs. All staff from reception , nurses and vets go beyond the love and care I would want for any animal and their owners.
I have had to put my first dog down suddenly just over a year ago and Chris was amazingly empathetic. Felt Luke I was with a friend. More recently I have had many problems with my pug and Bianca has been just as amazing.

I took my very healthy and fit (not to mention boisterous) 6 month old male kitten to Christopher Carter Vets on Wednesday 11th October for a routine neutering operation. I dropped him off at 9 am, at 11.30 am I got a call to say he had died. You can imagine my shock and horror at the news, which I am still trying to understand. I went to collect him from the vets and was told that he must have had an underlying heart problem bearing in mind that he had been to the vets before and always had been proclaimed healthy, also his heart was checked before the operation. Apparently, 3 vets tried to save him but to no avail. I spoke to the vet that carried out the operation and she was visibly upset. However, I have to query why a very fit, healthy and totally gorgeous 6 month old kitten died for unexplained reasons.I wish I hadn't taken him.

Same day appointments, moral support through the phone and on the visits!! Just know that you're the best and that you deserve the ongoing appraisal because your love for the animals is seen 24/7 ! Having been a customer for 30 + years I cannot praise Chris and his staff any higher, always able to get an appointment especially in an emergency. Last week we lost our lovely Charlie to old age ,the kindness and compassion shown by the lovely lady vet and her assistant who came to the house was beyond words .

I tried several vet practices but have been with Cristopher Carter for about 12 years niw and would not go anywhere else.
Quite a few years ago I had a very poorly dog who was 12 and Chris was just about to put him down when he asked if he could try one more thing. That one more thing not only gave my dog an extra year of life but he was like a puppy again. He had another year if quality life. I can never thank Chris enough for that.
I now have 2 cats and another dog. They are quite happy going to Chris Carters surgery.

The best care I would wish for my dogs. All staff from reception , nurses and vets go beyond the love and care I would want for any animal and their owners.
I have had to put my first dog down suddenly just over a year ago and Chris was amazingly empathetic. Felt Luke I was with a friend. More recently I have had many problems with my pug and Bianca has been just as amazing.

I took my very healthy and fit (not to mention boisterous) 6 month old male kitten to Christopher Carter Vets on Wednesday 11th October for a routine neutering operation. I dropped him off at 9 am, at 11.30 am I got a call to say he had died. You can imagine my shock and horror at the news, which I am still trying to understand. I went to collect him from the vets and was told that he must have had an underlying heart problem bearing in mind that he had been to the vets before and always had been proclaimed healthy, also his heart was checked before the operation. Apparently, 3 vets tried to save him but to no avail. I spoke to the vet that carried out the operation and she was visibly upset. However, I have to query why a very fit, healthy and totally gorgeous 6 month old kitten died for unexplained reasons.I wish I hadn't taken him.

Came in with my Bengal cat Mowgli, which was very distressing as I had to leave him over night. But staff had Christopher Carter were amazing. Straight away they made me feel relaxed that my cat was in good hands. They were understanding and kind. I used Christopher Carter as an emergency vet and if I lived nearer would happily exchange my vet for them... A Big Thank You !!

God, I can not thank this vet practise enough, yet again, the team starting with fantastic reception staff all the way to vet Chris and the young lady who always sees my cat Lola, I'm sorry I don't know your name but all the way through lola'a kittenhood through pregnancy scans up to now getting her spayed, all you did was support and all your advice is the best ever you ALWAYS take the best care of her. Same day appointments, moral support through the phone and on the visits!! Just know that you're the best and that you deserve the ongoing appraisal because your love for the animals is seen 24/7 ! You're very much appreciated by me and my family!!

Reading through some of the posts that people have submitted about the care and compassion shown to their pets at this veterinary surgery is great, it also brought tears to my eyes regarding an elderly stray that was brought in to them, who they kept comfortable up until her end... sadly the owners never came forward to claim her or to say goodbye... please get your animals chipped... if you care enough to own a pet

Brilliant vets, really care, will not do things unless it's needed unlike others we have been to. Mr Carter put our Cavalier King Charles to sleep a couple of years ago, could not have been more caring and thoughtful, came all the way to our house last year to put our doberman to sleep, again so kind and thoughtful, thank you all so much.
