I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Hawksdown Vets. They are clearly very good at their job, but also love animals and are kind, thoughtful and thorough. Our rabbit lived to 12 (they rarely last beyond 8) and of course we've done most of the looking after but their professional help has been invaluable and always delivered with consideration for both the rabbit and for us.

I cannot give this Practice Any stars BUT to highlight my disgust at the practice of these vets I will put One Star. Hated it is not strong enough for what I experienced.
They failed so appallingly, I involved The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Two members investigated But could not apply any regulations, because Hawsdown is not registered with them.
What this means is they DO NOT have to meet specific regulations on up-dated practice, cleanliness, or equipment.
I didn't know Vets actually vary in what their practices offer. Hawsdown is VERY low down on the list.
My Cat died painfully slowly & according to Hursley Animal Hospital, had he been in their care, not left to get cold, dehydrated & diagnostic tools used to assess, he might have been saved! BUT even though I asked 4 times to move my cat or have him referred, My wishes were squashed.
When I mentioned my horrific experiences to other people, it was met with Knowing nods & with accounts of losing their pets, in the care of this practice. They experienced, unnecessarily, emotional & Financial losses.
I highly recommend you avoid this practice. They can not be relied upon to have the skills or equipment your pet may need in an emergency & they are NOT honest enough to admit to their Shortcomings.

I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Hawksdown Vets. They are clearly very good at their job, but also love animals and are kind, thoughtful and thorough. Our rabbit lived to 12 (they rarely last beyond 8) and of course we've done most of the looking after but their professional help has been invaluable and always delivered with consideration for both the rabbit and for us.
