Very good vets and have always thought so ... It is just a shame that one particular receptionist spoils it with her rude and abrupt attitude - always but constantly rude giving her opinion and mostly incorrect and inaccurate and when pulled up on the information she quotes, she always abruptly says to call another staff member back as she can't deal with it ? then hangs up ... such a shame that this is still not being monitored as it in my experience over the last 7 years a very good vets ! - just a certain receptionist who seems to need a lot of help with how to speak to people and if possible a basic customer service training (little steps first as really don't feel she could cope with anything such as good customer service currently..) hopefully this will be reviewed by the vets as definitely she is spoiling a good veterinary practice as if the vets were not as good then I would definitely go elsewhere ! Really unsure whether or not this is somewhere animals should be taken to. Staff seemed aggressive and patronising when informing myself of how they operated despite having owned dogs for years, professionally trained dogs and being fully aware of what the general practise is of signing up to a vets. Not to mention the sheer unprofessionalism of the reception girl and the other staff who I would assume would be veterinary nurses and their vet that ended up seeing to my puppy. All staff seemed clueless on the various types of vaccinations a puppy should recieve and did not seem to know what breed my dog was despite informing them 3 times. Advise given to myself following his vaccination was entirely incorrect and dangerous. I would genuinely not ever return with any animal. Cheap practise. Unprofessional disinterested staff. They seem to get the correct care for my dog at a reasonable price but they are not very caring or friendly vets. I have a 4 month old puppy & there was Not much guidance for future visits or meds needed . No advice was given when I asked about socialising the dog. Covers basic medical needs though Read Less

Please do not use this vets ... I was quoted a price for my Chihuahua to have 6 teeth out. On the day of the surgery I was called to say they had cleaned his teeth. I explained that it was agreed to remove his teeth or I would have to have them removed at a later date. I spoke to the rude receptionist who stated that we had been quoted the wrong price and it was now going to be an extra 100 for the extra work even though they were suppose to remove his teeth not clean them. Needless to say the receptionist was fuming and said fine. On the way to collect my dog the receptionist called to say that it should of cost me more and that she was at a loss. Once in the surgery the receptionist asked my partner to pay 65.00 extra for fluids as they were at a loss even though we were told it's 200 to 240. My partner refused and was told great we saved your dog and should I put on your card that you wanted your dog to die. My partner explained that we were quoted a price and it's not our fault the staff gave the wrong quote. I paid the amount that was agreed with the receptionist stated that we were not welcome at there vets any longer ... I explained we have done nothing wrong to which she replied very angrily I am at a loss... This vets maybe cheaper but in the long run it's not worth the worry and upset that they have caused me.... the receptionist is so rude and forgets it's customers that pay for her to continue in her role. I have been using these guys for years. Regardless of the surgery location/appearance as some have mentioned, they get the job done and do it as cheap as they can for you. My most recent visit they saved my dogs life, and didn't try to money grab by doing all the tests under the sun, they only did what was necessary. The initial greeting on arrival can appear insincere or delayed, but it's usually because they're busy concentrating on what's needed. You come to know not to take it the wrong way and you see how friendly they are haha The vets and nursing staff are friendly and caring, you can tell they have the animals best interest at heart and won't try to rack the bill up more than is necessary :) Read Less

My dog was consistently being sick. My vet couldn't see her until the next day. I called this vet and they told me to bring her in straight away. The vet was lovely she knew what she was talking about. She gave my dog some meds and i am pleased to say my dog is fighting fit. The cost was very reasonable. The reception staff have always been pleasant and chatty whilst waiting to be seen by vet. Never heard them being rude to any customers on phone or in waiting room as others have reported. Amir, our vet, was always extremely kind and caring to our 2 rabbits over the 9 1/2 years we used the surgery. After treatment Amir would phone us up the next day after they had come home to check how they were doing. We were always able to bring them down on the day they were not well to see the vet. We used Vets and Pets for our pets (Rocky and Ziggy). When we found out Rocky ( Doberman) had heart issue they were brilliant with his treatment till end specially Amir which we trusted imminently. BUT today they let us down soooo badly. Took my Ziggy (cat) for a check up on Tuesday Amir tried to take blood out of her but Ziggy didn’t let him Amir said ‘ bring her in Thursday am so we can sedate her as we don’t want her to stress l agreed l dropped my little girl to them 10.30 am and been told she’ll be ready in an hour. Not hearing anything from them l kept calling and kept being told she’ll be ready in an hour after 4 hours l’ve called again only to be told there has been complications Ziggy had an heart attack and died. Went to say goodbye to Ziggy and to speak to Amir we’ve been told he wanted to try again once more before sedating her which she’s got stressed and died. Asked loads of questions but all l’ve got is he had a bad judgement and he is sorry. Him being sorry not going to bring her back so needless to say l won’t be using their services again. Read Less

The vets here are let down by the attitude of the reception staff. I believe that the owner works on the reception desk. She has got to be the rudest, most inefficient and uncaring person towards animals ever to grace a veterinarian practice. They are a little cheaper than most vets but that's because of the attitude you are greeted with and the dirtiness of the premises. They would be better off employing new reception staff and getting the people who work it now to get out the mops and buckets and do the cleaning. If you do use these vets, and like I did decide you want to go elsewhere be prepared for them to delay passing any results or information to your new vet. For the sake of a few pounds go elsewhere, it's no coincidence they get such bad reviews, it's what people using them have experienced. Read Less

Really quick and efficient when my dog was injured in the field at a dodgy time - between Christmas and New Years! I was 75 miles from home and she had a 5 inch gash across her leg, I took her to these vets in the hope they could help her and they did a superb job for a very reasonable price. This is posted with having used over 17 Vet Surgery's in my time. I don't know why reviewers have put anything negative, the people in reception are really lovely, they care & don't try to make you go there, like other vets if it is not absolutely necessary. The vets are genuinely caring & DO NOT carry out anything unnecessary. The trouble is most people are so used to other vets doing many unnecessary things that are not warranted, just to get your money, that they think these vets are the ones not doing enough. Read Less

1st time using this vets this week. Will certainly not be using again. Very run down. Didn't seem to have a clue what they was doing. And is there a pooch parlour next door? A dog was crying in there and the shouting at the dog sounded like it was being abused. They may be cheaper than other vets but a far lower standard of practice and knowledge... Read Less

I went there after a bad experience with another vet with their attitude insinuating I didn't care for my cat. I saw a female vet at vets for pets who was absolutely lovely. My cat is not the nicest of cats and it didn't faze the vet or the nurse. I wish I knew of these 10 years ago. The cost was so much less Read Less

The veterinary surgeons are very caring and certainly know what they're doing. The practice rooms and waiting area are certainly not 5 star but that's how they keep their prices so low. Plenty of parking if you go at the weekend or after 5pm. Read Less

I took my lab here for sometime last year ,2016 she became very ill the vet thought she had pyrometer and was advised to have her operated on she had to be spayed and was kept in on a drip and other meds at a cost of 600 this also included x-ray and various test she came out looking like a new dog fortunately she didn't have pyrometer but they found kidney stones on both kidneys this problem was resolved with a special diet but unfortunately she kept getting infections in her lady bits was given more antibiotics but ended up having a stroke and lost use of her legs so sadly she was put to sleep but can't thank vet enough Read Less

Horrific experience. Staff are rude and loud not good when when you've got a sick dog ! The vet was useless my poor dog stayed in overnight and was no better pulled him out off there and took him to a proper vet his temperature is 41 and these people left him like this !! The place is a joke filthy dirty and they couldn't care less about the animal. Would not reccomend it to anyone. The nurses are so caring and it's all about the animals. The veterinary surgeons are extremely professional, yet caring and lovely to both humans and pets. This surgery is the cheapest in the whole area but the quality of all the staff is second to none. This must be the worst vets ever steer very very clear of them!! The reception/owner is very rude! They don't have the foggiest idea about pets! The vet wanted to charge me to sedate my dog to do a skin biopsy which cost 285 instead of doing the blood tests on her when she clearly has something wrong with her kidneys. All they are interested in is the money not welfare of your precious pets! I payed a fee of 18 2 weeks ago along with lotion and and a syringe to the cost of 46.00. The vet asked me to come back in which is for the same problem and the rude recorionist told me I still have to pay 18 to be seen again. Just out for there money. I have since found out a friend of a friend came to this vets and Sadler her dog passed away due to the vets doing wrong tests and not testing for the right things first. STEER CLEAR!!!Read Less
