Been with them for a long time. They messed up my cats claw. It had been broken deep inside. Instead of cutting it out, the part time vet pulled it out leaving a tiny bit of claw still inside. His toe healed but a few months down the line it started weeping puss. The full time vet x-rayed his toe and found the tiny claw left behind. He had to have his toe removed. So I had to pay an extra £500+ in vet bills for surgery and bandages because they did a bodge job in the first place and didn't admit to it. Also just make sure you get a paper receipt when you have paid as this is the second time they have tried to invoice me for something I have already paid for. I always pay the full amount before I leave. Do it by card so you have proof also and can't question you. Didn't get an apology, they just had to accept that it had been paid for and laughed off their mistake. Update: Been with this practice for over 20 yrs and haven't had any issues until recently which left me rather upset and opened up a can of worms as you can see from my original review. Had one problem with them in 2013 but didn't bring it up with them due to lots of personal issues happening at the time. They called after reading my original review and were very apologetic about what had happened. Apart from this and the invoicing issue they are a good practice and I have recommended them to friends. They've been great with our new kittens. A cat lover having had 9 cats previously had forgotten some things and these guys have been friendly and helpful especially as one kitten had a complicated neutering. Have not given 5 stars as the info or advice differs depending on which member of staff you speak to whuch is confusing. Also, they don't have an 'out of hours service' or advice line, although they do direct clients to the Royal Veterinary College which proved VERY costly for us as we hadn't expected to need our pet insurance to be in place for a routine op. Fantastic! I have been with them since 1987 when I got my first dog, Siane, who had a rare heart condition. Helen detected an issue, referred me to RVC.
