beware their prices! beware their prices! I recently moved and after using the same vet for 12 years I had a cat emergency and chose this vets for because of the reviews. I am putting this review on so hopefully you can make an informed choice. I have found their pricing absolutely horrendous and as I can no longer have pet insurance due to the age of my cat I had to pay (and yes he;s worth it). One objection I do have is when Vets overcharge unnecessary and I will detail it here. Consult fee £47.50 with a follow up consultant (i was in with the vet on the follow up 7 minutes) another £39. My consult fee at my previous vet £22 and if follow up next day for quick check up Zero! Medications Isathal 10mg eye drop 3gm £25.35 Elsewhere £13 Markup £12 0.45 metacam injection £18.91 Elsewhere £7.00 Markup £12 Metacam oral susp 3mls £24.22 internet £4.15 Markup £20 Remend Corneal Repair Gel £21.32 internet £3.45 Markup £18 £60 markup for no reason except they can, unfair. 2 eye drops for the vet to check the eye £6!!! Surly that should be part of the consult fee??? I mean its like a decorator charging you for using his brushes! I will always put my cat first, I got conned by medivet NYE by paying £1100 for unnecessary work but I thought the reviews here would avoid these bumped up prices. In esscence I have easily paid £90 more then what I think is fair. Lesson learned, might be a 55 minute trip to the old vets but at least I know my cat will be treated properly and my wallet wont be abused. Read Less

Very happy with the Neutering process for our kittens Hugo and Margot yesterday. The staff were very friendly keeping us updated thoughout the day. I really loved the personal messages from the nurses, and both kittens are now back to their normal mad selves.Read Less

This is a vets practice where I'm confident they care about my cats. I've been using them for four years since I first got my cats and find the vets and staff to be very friendly and always willing to answer any questions I have re diet, behaviour or anything else I have concerns about. I also get texts to say when worming or vaccinations are due which is helpful for me. I would recommend this practice 100%. Read Less

We have used many vets over the years but this practice is by far the best. Firstly the surgery, waiting room and consultation rooms are extremely clean as you would expect. The reception staff are very friendly, reassuring and helpful. All of the vets are very dedicated and professional They also take time to listen to you and discuss your pets requirement explaining everything properly. I have taken my Newfy and Golden Retriever to Chestnuts now for over 8 years and I can't fault them. From the friendly efficient reception staff, caring veterinary nurses and of course the Vets that fix my four legged friends when needed, they are always happy to help, explain clearly the options available and take exceptional care of my dogs. My Newfy has had a number of challenging health issues but they have always been highly supportive and sympathetic, even when they got slobbered on or he left a muddy foot prints across their reception floor.................. I would thoroughly recommend them to anybody looking for a new vet. 10/10 from me! Read Less

Superb. Just cannot think of anything else to say. Our young dog was taken ill in the summer. I was concerned that we were either going to lose him, or that his illness was going to have long term health implications. Quick admission, and the prompt diagnosis of an often missed condition led to a very quick recovery. During his period of care he was obviously well cared for, as when we call in he pulls us through the door to reception. On a personal note, as we had lost an elderly dog less than a year previously I found his illness emotionally challenging All the staff were incredibly supportive. Thank you. Read Less
