I am so angry my wife called in to book a operation on my dog we have been going to this vets for many years had good service
Recently when we made a complaint after a very rude receptionist acused my wife of swearing at her we made a complaint to the Head office and now we have been told to leave after over 10 years going
Very rude staff and I looked back at the reviews people have left !!!!

Second review I'd like to leave minus10 stars. four times I've tried to complain and four times they have given me fake emails they do not accept any responsibility for their poor disgraceful service unless you want your pet to have unnecessary tests to rack up a bill then by all means use them. They can't even diagnose a simple wound that needed antibiotics!! Instead do blood tests etc., keep your animal overnight and still don't treat went to a proper vet instead

i'd give no stars if I could took my pet to welwyn garden city they did blood tests wanted to keep him in overnight which I declined. I waited 9 days for a vet to get back to me about results (only after I rang and emailed) told me that he'd been busy and now wanted a urine sample. I then said i'd go to a different practice who straight away diagnosed an infection due to a bite under his chin gave him antibiotics and within 2 days he was much improved. Attimore just seem to want to get as much money from you with unnecessary tests. one visit with no treatment cost me £416 and obviously didn't bother to examine him. Used the complaints system useless they don't bother replying.

Charged £27 to cut our French bulldogs nails as a walk in appointment.
Can’t believe it. Normally pay £5-£7 I appreciate it was a walk-in but £27 THAT IS MENTAL.

I have been going there for many years (since 1982) and they have done a wonderful job for us of all our pets. Our two bengals have only just had to leave us at 17 years old, and the breeder where we bought a new little girl, was amazed, 12 years is their normal life span he told us. For the past 4 years we have travelled back to WGC from our new home in Norfolk, as a good vet, an excellent vet, is well worth the travel distance. (And our cats travel well too)

Great friendly staff, always been fantastic service. Always treated my animals so good would not want to go any where else. I wrote this review when I had no problems with my pet but now I had a problem but was so unprofessional and unhelpful meant I had to go to other vets that put these guys to shame. I have spent a lot looking into getting an answer what's wrong with my dog for the other vet to spend 5 mins and £50 only not £300 to get the answer. Feel very ripped off.

I've never had a problem with Attimore Vets since moving my two rabbits over last November from a different vets. The staff are very attentive and patient with you as an owner and your pets. One of my rabbits has an ongoing condition which the vet is always keen to recheck everything at each follow up appointment to note down any changes or response to medication. Ruth, one of the vets at the WGC branch is great with rabbits and I can tell she's enthusiastic about her job and always helps reassure me with any worries I have as well as giving plenty of snuggles to the bunnies. Not too expensive and if my rabbits are happy then I'm happy!

Absolutely brilliant experience, despite rather traumatic circumstances due to the severity of our cat's injuries, which required surgery (twice) and lengthy hospitalisation. We visited daily and we were able to see how devoted everyone was, how much everyone cared. We always felt welcome, always updated on what was happening, even at busy times. Thank you for saving Takeshi, for putting in so much effort and time, he is very happily recovering at home, almost back to normal after his difficult month.

I have been a loyal customer of Attimore for over ten years with various dogs and cats but have had no choice but to leave. There are two wonderful vets here, Zoe and Gillian, but they are not always available and at recent appointments with other vets at both the Wheathampstead and Welwyn branch I have been highly pressured into unneeded and vastly overpriced tests and products (One test is priced at 18.50 with other vets in the area whereas the Attimore charge was 120). It's not just a case of them making a quick buck through unneeded tests, they are also putting animals through unnecessary discomfort and stress. In the long run, they have lost out on a loyal customer.

Great vet hospital, always helpful, charming and extremely professional. They will always try to accommodate your needs and especially your pet's need. Absolutely faultless. They are always very careful with our 2 dogs, our cat and our rabbit. Most of our neighbours used then as well, and we cannot praise them enough for the great and professional care they give. Highly recommended.

Amazing and thoughtful vets at wheathampstead who have done everything for all the animals we have had over the years. Collar to small and they would not exchange it saying i should have brought my pup down... she has not had her second vaccination yet so cant take her out let alone take her to a place where loads of dogs are. Staff rude vet very rude ....will not set foot in the place again.... disgusting service!!!!!

Turns out she had bruised lungs, broken tail, dehydrated, paralysed bladder and missing front teeth. Didn't pick up on a single thing.

My beautiful 2 year old rough collie was given a Lepto 4 and DHP vaccination and spent the next week in hospital on a drip. I thought I would lose her. I suggest everyone looks at Facebook page 'Nobivac Lepto 4 Our experiences'. It's heartbreaking how many dogs have died and suffered terribly after having this vaccine. The vets will say it's a coincidence. Just read how many 'coincidences' there have been! They say take no notice of stuff on the internetare all these people lying?!!! PLEASE read the posts on the above site before having your dog vaccinated. The staff looked after Dixie well, but then they had caused the problem in the first place. I had a huge bill.

The staff care more about money than what they are there for, to look after our pets and treat us fairly. I'll never trust you to look after my pets again. You didn't have to worry Attimore, you got your 2000. Also to the (Spanish ?) vet that disbelieved what I said and made HER walk when it was very obvious that SHE was in pain and roughly put HER on the floor to walk, SHE is no longer with us. I hope your salary at the end of the month is worth it. And finally, SHE was a female so I'm not sure why all the staff, even after a very long and sad time, still referred to HER as a HE. Devastated :(

Always very happy with the service received and how knowledgeable the vets are here. I have brought my pets here on a number of occasions and the veterinarians always very good with handling them and able to diagnose the issues and treat effectively. Very glad to have found such a wonderful practice.

Great vet hospital, always helpful, charming and extremely professional. They will always try to accommodate your needs and especially your pet's need. Absolutely faultless. Turns out she had bruised lungs, broken tail, dehydrated, paralysed bladder and missing front teeth. Didn't pick up on a single thing.

My beautiful 2 year old rough collie was given a Lepto 4 and DHP vaccination and spent the next week in hospital on a drip. I thought I would lose her. I suggest everyone looks at Facebook page 'Nobivac Lepto 4 Our experiences'. It's heartbreaking how many dogs have died and suffered terribly after having this vaccine. The vets will say it's a coincidence. Just read how many 'coincidences' there have been! They say take no notice of stuff on the internetare all these people lying?!!! PLEASE read the posts on the above site before having your dog vaccinated. The staff looked after Dixie well, but then they had caused the problem in the first place. I had a huge bill.

They DROPPED my rabbit and caused severe nerve damage around her spine, 4 weeks on she is terrified of everything, has difficaulty walking and grooming herself! They denied all responsibility and refused to cover the costs to get her better!! AVOID THIS HELL HOLE AT ALL COSTS!!

The staff care more about money than what they are there for, to look after our pets and treat us fairly. I'll never trust you to look after my pets again. You didn't have to worry Attimore, you got your 2000. Also to the (Spanish ?) vet that disbelieved what I said and made HER walk when it was very obvious that SHE was in pain and roughly put HER on the floor to walk, SHE is no longer with us. I hope your salary at the end of the month is worth it. And finally, SHE was a female so I'm not sure why all the staff, even after a very long and sad time, still referred to HER as a HE. Devastated :(

Then came all the excuses and lies.. to this day no one has had the decency to write back to us.. when things go wrong this company aka CVS won't give you the time of day but loved every penny of the £2000 bill ..

Always very happy with the service received and how knowledgeable the vets are here. I have brought my pets here on a number of occasions and the veterinarians always very good with handling them and able to diagnose the issues and treat effectively. Very glad to have found such a wonderful practice.
