Disgusting service from the people here, took my puppy in on a Friday they saw he but refused to start treatment till I paid 400 for her to be connected to iv fluid and iv antibiotics, told me to take her home to die, didn't accept that took her home called every vetanery centre they couldn't help, Monday morning called RSPCA they took her in at a vet in Balldock they started iv fluids and iv antibiotics they said if she was given this earlier she would have survived. Without a doubt THE best vet I have ever been to. We found Steve and his staff to be completely dedicated to animal welfare. They have been treating our very ill dog for nine years now and we would never go anywhere else. I really cannot recommend them highly enough. Just brilliant!! Read Less

I only went in with an inkling my cat was looking a bit thin, before I knew it, I felt passivley steam rollered into getting loads of tests that in my mind were completely unnecessary. They saw the ££££££  right from the start. Never had an experience like it!! Read Less

In response to reviews here dated Sep 2013. We are very sorry to read this review. However, in this particular case we feel we should put the record straight, within the limits of not breaching client confidentiality.This young man worked as a technician for a local human pharmaceutical blood testing company. He had our vet draw a blood sample from his cat, and then told several staff that he was going to take the blood away with him to arrange to get the blood tested himself, rather than have blood tests run by a veterinary laboratory that we would send the blood to.Because this was very suspicious, our practice manager investigated the matter.Our main concern was to avoid our practice being involved in a cat's blood test possibly being processed illegally, at a human laboratory, or getting false results.There was also an investigation by a well-known laboratory, who are this man's former employer.We really value our customers, and we always try to give our customers what they want. However, in this case it was also very important to make sure our vets weren't implicated in anything illegal, through no fault of their own. We also wanted to make sure any blood tests done were reliable . Clearly, this did not leave the client happy, but this was a very unusual circumstance in which we had to do the right thing, for the cat and our staff!After the event, this young man posted negative reviews, on multiple websites under different anonymous aliases, all posted from 6th-9th Sep 2013.Our blood sampling fees, along with our general fees, are great value, and all clients  - new or  old  - are very welcome to phone us for quotations or prices on any issue. LOVE THIS VETS.........friendly, caring , knowledgeable & very reassuring ! Charlie our pup has had quite a difficult start to his life having a anaphylaxis shock at his vaccination. Then a very nasty Camplylobacter infection (food poisoning). Following that he had re occurring bouts of colitis........then he developed allergies to chicken & poultry. He had serve difficulty eating with sickness & diarrhoea which caused him to lose a lot of weight & he was extremely poorly. Last but not least he now has a skin condition. Steve the senior vet & owner has also been FIRST CLASS! On our first visit to the practice in Potters Bar Charlie had a reaction to his vaccination. This caused him to go into Anaphylaxis shock...........Hayley & Steve saved Charlie's life ! They acted so quickly & professionally..........making sure i understood what was going on, what could happen & also being a tower of strength through what was a scary situation. I felt they were in total control & had great confidences in what they were doing & as a result they saved his life ! Steve is also involved with Charlies treatment plan & provides a second opinion which means Charlie gets the BEST CARE POSSIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!! Hayley is amazing & a real asset to the practice, what more can i say then she saved Charlies life ! ELIZABETH OUR VET IS TRULY AMAZING ! I don't know how i would have got through the past few months without her knowledge & constant support. She is lovely & often phones me just to see how Charlie is getting on. Giving me lots of reassurance that i am doing all the right things. I have been a frequent visitor at the practice sometimes everyday. Charlie loves her to bits because she has been so caring towards him & more than that he trusts her ! She has got him through a extremely difficult illness and we are lucky to still have him. Dan the other vet at the practice is also FANTASTIC ! So informative, friendly and really good at his job ! Explains everything & really cares about Charlie. Sarah who deals with the direct claims for my insurance company, has been so easy to deal with, really friendly & extremely helpful. Any question & she take the time to explain. She has also offered lots of advice & given me lots of support. Louise is just so warn & caring when Charlie was admitted to the practice, again he loves her to bits. She is very easy to talk to & has given me lots of practical advise, which has made dealing with his illness easier. Lauren always greats you with a smiley face & cant do enough to help on reception. Charlie has been an inpatient 3 times now. He has had x-rays, IV drips, ultra sounds & more blood tests than i care to remember. He still walk into the vets wagging his tale, looking for cuddle, which he always gets & loves the attention they give him. I feel so lucky to have found these vets & i can honestly say that had we not Charlie would not be with us today. They are all so professional & that's why I LOVE THIS FAMILY RUN PRACTICE ! T They always go ABOVE & BEYOND for the animals/owners in their care ! We have had contact with everyone from all 3 vets practices............they are all extremely helpful, have a wonderful caring nature....FIRST CLASS VETS !!!! Read Less
