Whilst spending Easter weekend on the Isle of Wight my little dog Tilly split her dew claw whilst running on the beach. Due to the injury and discomfort of Tilly we rang Green and Forster Vest and was put in touch with John. John arranged for us to attend the surgery immediately where he was able to remove the damaged claw and dress her wound. The service and professionalism John displayed was of the highest standard. I have no hesitation in recommending Green and Forster Vets, they are simply the best vets I have dealt with and put the animal first instead of profit. My extended thanks to John. Read Less

Great vets with lots of experience looking after the more complex species. We normally take anything from chickens to axolotls and they have always been able to help.

We were out with our cocker spaniel in the Carisbrooke area on Saturday and she got herself badly entangled in some undergrowth, emerging with a torn ear and blood everywhere. We googled the nearest vet and these people wouldn't let us bring her in unless we registered her for long term vet care. We would have been more than happy to pay for one-off medical attention but were not given that option. Shocking disregard for animal well being, whether it was an over zealous receptionist or company policy they should be ashamed. Read Less

I have used Green & Forster many times and I find them very good; With any animal it is very hard to get to problem. I have always found that they have tried very hard with all my pets when ill, and mistakes can be made just like human Hospitals. So people will be upset when things don't go the way they want. But I have always found them accommodating when paying the bills, And I have always had big bill's. But also they are the PDSA so I will say no more on that it's a charity as well as a vet's. So they get 5 stars from me.Read Less

We took our Westy in on Friday with breathing problems, after some blood tests and Xrays and a very tidy bill we were told they didn't really know what the problem was and gave us a weeks worth of tablets and to bring him back in 7 days if there was no improvement. The worst thing was that during his whole days stay at the Vets they gave him nothing to help his breathing not even one of the tablets that we were given. Just 36 hrs later he died. No mention to us that there was any indication he may not survive. If thats a Vet then so am i. Don't go there. Never again would i use this practice if you love your pet go somewhere else..... I only wish we had he may still be with us now Read Less

I would like to thank Green & Forster for all the care they gave to Minty and Serena, our beautiful Yorkshire Terriers. Particular thanks to Kerry, who tried so hard to keep them both going when they became ill and also to Dr Green. Thanks to Sue the lovely Ventnor Receptionist, always cheerful and sympathetic, and a special mention to Honor Roberts who so gently administered the final injection for Minty. We are totally bereft at loosing both of them within 2 months, but both dogs had been poorly for some time and I know that Green & Forster did all they could and that we had the best care possible from all the staff.
