Recently traveled to Ashford from Margate for a ultrasound and biopsy for Dudley our Bernese Mountain dog and all of the staff were the loviest most caring people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet. Toni who was just lovely, gave us clear and informed information throughout the day, took care of me and my other dog when our car broke down on hottest day of year, giving us refreshments and a nice cool room to wait in and has since advised on a more local practice to us with the same ethics as them for Dudleys required follow up treatment for a severe prostate infection (not cancer as advised by my previous vet!). If we lived in the area she would definitely be our chosen vet. So refreshing to meet a vet who’s main concern is the animals welfare and not money. Thank you for restoring my faith x

They lied about possible treatment for our dog and then after a costly CT scan denied to give the very drugs they suggested then wouldn't release our dog so we had no option but to put her down. A bullying vet works here. They don't care at all about your dog only your money! As a lifelong pet owner, please for your pets sake do not discount this review and use a different vets.

Thank you to all at Barrow Hill Ashford. I brought my OAP cat Sooty in, unfortunately we decided the kindness thing was to put her to sleep. I was completely overwhelmed and couldn't stop crying. Sootys wonderful vet and her assistant were so kind and understanding throughout and took so much time with me and Sooty. I can't thank everyone enough for their kindness. I would recommend Barrow Hill to every pet owner.

Thank you to Barrow hill for responding so quickly and efficiently to an emergency home visit to administer Euthanasia to my dog Leo who had cancer in his leg and liver. He suddenly was unable to stand his leg given way and was suffering . He was a huge dog German shepherd cross Labrador impossible to lift or carry him. Even with snow on the ground a vet and nurse were with us within forty minutes. They were kind and caring and Leo ended his life very peacefully. RIP Leo 2006 to 2018 xx

I brought my cat here from another vet. On the first visit the nurse picked up on my cat having a jaw problem - something the previous vets had insisted was a dental or psychological problem. The Vet then confirmed what the nurse had found. These guys know their stuff and they picked up on several of my cats issues on the first trip. He unfortunately had kidney failure and I was flooding the room with tears at the thought of losing him that day (he'd not eaten for a week since a visit to the previous vets). While testing his blood the vet kept me in the consultation room rather than face other customers in the waiting area even though they really needed the consultation space. They kept him in for fluids, patched him up and got him eating again. Thanks to the brilliant staff here I had another 9 - 10 months with my cat who then just about made 18 years.
I wish I had brought him to this practice years ago, maybe he'd still be with me for another year or two.

Amazing service! My dog needed to be seen at 10pm one weekend. They have their own vets on site not like my friend who had to go to Canterbury when her cat was sick. Seen really quickly and friendly staff there to help. Will definitely be back! :-)

Everyone was so friendly & reassuring. Excellent service & seem to genuinely love animals! Love the fact that this is a 24 hour service, though we hope not to have to use this facilty!

Amazing service! My dog needed to be seen at 10pm one weekend. They have their own vets on site not like my friend who had to go to Canterbury when her cat was sick. Seen really quickly and friendly s...
Amazing service! My dog needed to be seen at 10pm one weekend. They have their own vets on site not like my friend who had to go to Canterbury when her cat was sick. Seen really quickly and friendly staff there to help. Will definitely be back! :-)
