we visited this vets surgery several times several years ago. They were okay. However recently we have seen a difference. Its about the price and they are expensive. They are no owned by Medivet who are buying up practices it seems. The prices are very high and it a dam shame that a good sensibly local practice has sold out to the big boys. To give you an example our dog needed a basic scale and polish. We were quoted £400- £500 plus vat. An excellent practice in West Wickham required £250 for a full scale and polish. There again you wont see a poor Medivet Exec !! We now use the practice in West Wickham. They are great and very friendly and sensibly priced and caring. Read Less

Not very impressed with this place. Looking tired and aged. Had to visit out of hours in an emergency as my vet was closed. Vet I saw did some basic prodding and poking and sent us on our way with little sign of any regard or concern. Turned out our dog had vertebral growth impinging on his spinal cord. Had hoped for a slightly better service, especially considering the charge. Read Less

Awful blond female there who I think is in charge, I spoke to her on the phone about my dog but she tried to shout me down, sounds like shes from some rough sink estate. Appalling experience with the veterinary clinic. We had our cat taken in due to poisoning. We weren't allowed to visit her during the whole weekend, weren't allowed to pick her up even though we kept asking for her to be discharged, so that she doesn't have to be on a drip unnecessarily, we rang the doctors every 2 hours only to get fobbed off and told to ring back. Her tests weren't done on time as is recommended by the veterinary guidelines, as they should have been done every 24 hours. I really would strongly advise to look for an alternative practice, the service and communication is absolutely appalling. I understand that for some people the fact that you care about your pet is hard to get, but this should not be the case for a vet clinic surely! Avoid if you can. Read Less

My Mum's elderly cat had only a few hours to live and the support from Foxgrove's nurse Megan was outstanding. She gave advice over the phone and when she finished her shift at Foxgroves, she came to visit on us on way home. Her support was outstanding. She was respectful to the cat and showed such kindness and empathy. We are not even registered at Foxgroves, we called them as they were the emergency vet on duty. I applaud the surgery for employing such a caring and considerate nurse who made a very heartbreaking experience a little easier. Read Less

AWFUL place. They told me my cat had cancer after literally just touching her neck (she didn't) and told me she should be put down without even having done a blood test, they told me I had to bring her to a specialist the next day and I then chased the specialist who said of course they couldn't see her without there having been a full work up which no one at Fox Grove had done. They then told me she had TB, without having the biopsy reports back... I had to beg for some actual medicine for her to relieve her symptoms and I have recently found out that it was far too short a dose, so am now bringing her to a lovely new vet for her treatments- but incurring extra expense that may not have been necessary if she had been treated correctly the first time. There used to be nice vets that worked here but now all seem completely dispassionate and don't care about the emotional wellbeing of the pets or the owners but seem to enjoy accruing expense on our behalf. I wish I had moved vets sooner as now I have seen wonderful treatment elsewhere so can see just how shoddy it was there. I also wish someone had told me not to go here and I had known what the service would be like. I was in early pregnancy when dealing with the incompetence of this practice and trying to care for my beloved and sick pet, Fox Grove greatly contributed to stress during an already stressful time. I hope one day the staffing completely changes or that it shuts down. Do not go here. Read Less

Interesting how you can't post on their facebook page... Anyway, if you have a rabbit, avoid this place like the plague. When I took my own sick bunny to them - apparently the go-to vets for rabbits - the vet in question had no sympathy, no compassion, the bedside manner of a slug, made me feel that having a rabbit as a pet is an idiot thing to do, and the fact that my bunny was ill was entirely my fault anyway. Two hours later she had died - I was literally handed a dead rabbit with no explanation as to what they had tried to do, no explanation as to what may have happened, nothing at all. Well, they did give me a bill for more than 200. I have heard other equally alarming things about the care they give to rabbits - trancing, force feeding - forcefeeding while trancing, I ask you! They. Know. Nothing. About. Rabbits. And they're not very nice people either. My bunny's surviving companion has a new vet. Never, ever going back to Foxgrove again. So smug being the only emergency vet in the area - I'd rather drive my surviving rabbit to the other end of the earth. Read Less
