If you have a guide dog, or wish to take your dog overseas, please keep in mind that although they are really nice people they are very disorganized. We have had some issues where my girlfriends guide dog was given a vaccine that only lasts 2 years (proper one should last 3-5 at least), we were given inaccurate advice regarding worming tablets as well as being told the pet passport only lasts 2 years (it lasts indefinitely or until the paper is full). My girlfriend also had an appointment with the vets for 6 once but when she arrived was told that the vet couldn't do anything as he was bitten earlier on in the day. This is fair enough however she was not called in advance to let us know this which she really should have been.
Needless to say we are quite disappointed and have changed vets.
A suggestion for improvement would be if they adopted a computer system for their records, it may help with this.

Absolutely appalling, the vet didn’t recognise my bulldog needed pallet surgery and kept treating for chest infections as a result I had to have my dog put down at 17 months old! He’s totally not fit

The best vet in kent, beyond doubt. We trust them with our beloved kaiser 100 % treatment is always spot on, and pricing very fare the chap is as honest and decent as can be. Worth 100 stars truly.

Do not go to this vets. He gave our rabbit cat painkillers. Also by doing this or rabbit had to be put to sleep and during the first injection he said the rabbit had gone, however he was not! The first injection was given to make him unconscious. The second injection was to put him to sleep. What would happen if we didn’t say he isnt gone during the first injection!

My cat was spayed in this surgery recently and I have only good things to report. Firstly. they were prompt with appointments. Secondly, their prices are reasonable. Much more reasonable than anything else in Canterbury. Thirdly, my cat was treated perfectly and with a lot of care.She healed within no time! I highly recommend this vet and wished I would have known before about them. Definitively, the best vet in Canterbury!

We got our cat Clint when he was already seriously ill. The poor thing was not fed for more than a year and hence had developed acute liver disease. The vet helped us give him some treatment to make his last month in life more comfortable. This practice is a respectable business and both the doctor and his wife have a lot of respect and love for animals.

Very friendly and helpful family run surgery. This vet has great patience with my large dog who does not like to stand still for his injections. This vet also has helped me issue Pet Passports for my dogs. Again, very helpful finding an appointment to suit my travel needs.

A wonderful vets! The Vet at Ancare really knows what he is doing. I took my jack russell cross here after a dreadful experience at companion care vet in Wincheap Canterbury (would not recommend). They made my dog completely panic at the sign of a vet. However even at our 1st visit to ancare my puppy was much more relaxed and treated with great care!! 5 star family run vets!

If you have a guide dog, or wish to take your dog overseas, please keep in mind that although they are really nice people they are very disorganized. We have had some issues where my girlfriends guide dog was given a vaccine that only lasts 2 years (proper one should last 3-5 at least), we were given inaccurate advice regarding worming tablets as well as being told the pet passport only lasts 2 years (it lasts indefinitely or until the paper is full). Much more reasonable than anything else in Canterbury. Thirdly, my cat was treated perfectly and with a lot of care.She healed within no time! We got our cat Clint when he was already seriously ill. The poor thing was not fed for more than a year and hence had developed acute liver disease. The vet helped us give him some treatment to make his last month in life more comfortable.
