No stars whatsoever!!! We were new to the area and our cat had a blister develop on his lip. We thought this was something quite minor so we went into Alphapet. They rushed through the consultation and without checking our cat over, just gave him a shot of steroids. The next day our cat was having problems breathing so we immediately went back to the vet. Once again they were trying to rush us out! This was the last time we saw our cat alive, he died an agonizing death right there on the vet's table. Afterward no explanation of what had happened was offered, they were only interested in us paying the huge bill and rushing us out. Our cat was 2 years old and healthy. These people in there DO NOT care about your pets! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Read Less

Our cat was suddenly very ill. The vet saw him as an emergency during a really busy clinic. Diagnosed him properly, and started his treatment. They had him in on a drip for several days, and we had him home overnight. He is better now and back to sleeping on my bed! Thank you all for looking after him! Read Less

I have been taking my pets to Alphapet for about 20 years. My pets have always had EXCEPTIONAL CARE from the vets and nurses alike. They ALWAYS have the animals best interest at heart. The Vets and nurses are knowledgeable, up to date, caring and compassionate. The building might not be the most beautiful, but this is purely cosmetic as the staff certainly make up for it !! I have to travel for over 1/2 an hour to get to the surgery and pass several vets 'en route' I think that this sums up how I feel about the surgery. I would like to thank all the staff for their dedication and hard work and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone ! Read Less

My cat was seriously injured and a passer by took him to Alphapet. Whilst the majority of the care was good, one vet in particular was quite unpleasant and made it clear he could not care less what happened to my dear cat. Sadly, my cat passed away, and that is when Alphapet showed their true colours. Despite me offering on several occasions to pay the mounting costs as the treatment was underway, all payments were refused. I was then grieving and left with a bill, which I did not immediately settle. Rather than phoning to speak to me about it, Alphapet instructed debt collectors. They added an additional 25% to the bill and aggressively pursued the debt. I settled my original bill (over 500) but refused to pay the additional charges. The letters did not stop, with escalating threats of court action, until I was hounded into paying an additional three figure sum. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a so called caring profession. The whole thing could have been resolved by a simple phone call from them, but they choose to take an aggressive stance - avoid them like the plague. Read Less
