We love the key workers for humans and thank them greatly but I’ve not heard anything about the vets & staff who are working tirelessly. Dealing with distraught pet parents isn’t easy. Having to follow guidelines and not let parents be in practice with their pets is difficult. They must be busier than ever! So I want to say a huge thank you to my amazing vets, they must be upset, exhausted, scared but they still take great care of our pets. I was so ill putting my 2 American bulldogs in to get neutered One Male One Female £ can I say the vets in cathkin made me feel easier & explained perfectly the best option for me. I did go through with it after numerous calls asking staff if I should leave it till later Nothing was too much for them & they went out there way to especially talk to the vet for my worries & decided to go forward with both pups & they done an amazing job & kept me up to date soon as they were done & asked me to go back after 3 days which is on Monday. I can’t thank Taylor’s vet cathkin enough for your help Thankyou so much from one nervous dog mummy x

My rabbit died less than 11 hours after being discharged from being spayed. The consensus seems to be of a stroke caused by a blood clot. The practice has no provision for redress when things go wrong...
My rabbit died less than 11 hours after being discharged from being spayed. The consensus seems to be of a stroke caused by a blood clot. The practice has no provision for redress when things go wrong in order to avoid an admission of liability. I honestly don’t think it’s reasonable to have paid for a spaying that’s knock on effects ultimately killed my pet. I appreciate the sentiments of ‘distraught vets’ but that ultimately doesn’t bring me any comfort. None of the content of the pre-surgery consent form were discussed and the form was pre-filled. My other half signed the form willingly but the only conversation was a time to pick her up and put contact number. The form has a lengthily list of things to be discussed and none of this was done. I think vets need to on the whole change their approach. From the get go I was encouraged to have the rabbit spayed but at no point did anyone discuss the high level of risk. Ultimately I’m not certain a day procedure is th right thing for rabbits. I was genuinely surprised at the size of the wound especially in relation to the size of my rabbit. I think all vets need tighter regulation and a clearer policy when hints go wrong. I’m not even a complainer either. Just can’t believe this has actually happened.

I have been going to this vet with my dog for nearly 14 years and the vets have always been first class. Recently though there is a vet who does not even check him properly. He had a lump on his paw and all she wanted to do is cut it out without even checking what it was I had to ask her for cream. The lump is away completely now as all it was only a fatty lump which he had chewed. He had really sore ears and were very dirty I asked her to clean them and I was told to do it myself!!!!

I have just lost my baby boy (cat) after a year of heart problems, and all the staff at Taylor Vets; Doctors, Nurses, desk staff & Billy the ambulance driver have been amazing, if it weren't for them and their brilliant help with him we would have lost him long ago. Even after he lost the fight they treated him with such respect and his ashes presented beautifully. I just want to say thank you so much for making this sad time a little easier to cope with.

I wouldn't trust any other practice with my dog, poppy. Over the past two years she's struggled with arthritis, hip dysplasia and two torn cruciate ligaments. She's had three operations, countless X-rays and more than a few consultations by most if not all the vets for her various ailments and I can't thank everyone enough!

I would never normally do this, I always tell Adele Walker personally I have an amazing boxer dog Nelson who will b 11 next Sunday He has had a skin tag beside his tail it has been growing over the last month, I went to see Adele at the Cathkin practice on Wednesday and we both agreed it had 2 removed as everyone knows putting any dog under for any operation is a worry never mind an older dog. I was worried sick and hardly slept, Adele as usual put my mind at ease, got him in at 8am this morning and took him straight away, looked after my boy and called me straight after surgery to tell me all went well. Adele is a credit to your practice I can honestly not thank her enough she knows how much I love Nelson and how much he means not only 2 me, all his family. Much love Adele love Tracey and Nelson x

Friendly, attentive practice. I've been going there for 10 + years. We have seen some tough times with a cat that had cancer and putting down my golden lab. Every stage I was looked after and not judged when I cried my eyes out. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else. That love I have for my 3 fur babies is shared when I go there. They care and are animal people. To me that sums it up. When someone loves your animal as much as you do, the trust and care is first class. If your wondering what vet practice to use in EK or surrounding areas this is the place.

We had a horrible experience on Friday when our Italian greyhound was attacked by 3 Staffies at cathkin braes. We called and were given an emergency appt last night. Have since taken her back today. We can't thank them enough our wee girl is recovering. The vets were amazing. Alice is being treated and recovering slowly. We are back at vets Wednesday with her. They were wonderful with her

Visited the Cathkin surgery for the first time yesterday (10.01.2017) with our 8 week old shar-pei puppy for his first set of vaccinations and micro chip and we saw Adele. She was amazing with Kion and he was so relaxed & well behaved and as much as this is his nature she kept him very calm. We travelled 30 minutes to go to this vet as they came so highly recommend to us with it being a shar-pei we have. Will be back in 3 weeks for his second set of vaccinations and would highly recommend this practice to anyone

Just wanted to leave review to say a huge thank you to the staff at Taylor Vets - especially the vet who we have seen a few times with red curly hair (sorry I can't remember her name) my dog is always a nervous wreck going into the vets but the vet made us feel so calm and was so patient with her totally understanding which made the situation a lot easier. My dog can show signs of fear aggression and she knew exactly how to deal with this especially with her getting her booster jags. Just wanted to say I really appreciate it and wouldn't take her anywhere else xx

I've been taking my animals here for yrs but after yesterday's visit I might be changing vet. My cat was limping so phoned for appointment got one for 2.15 , I arrived at 2.10 & checked in at reception . I waited 35 mins seemed busy but then noticed people coming in after me were taken so went back to reception .Spoke to different person she seemed puzzled asked me who I had spoke to ? I Pointed to girl in question & was asked to have a seat. The vet then called me in & said to me "if you are going to be late could you let us know" I explained I wasn't late . I was rather angry so when I was paying for the treatment I spoke to the receptionist & told her that the vet had thought I was late! She didn't apologise just said someone else must have clicked my name after her ! Very Poor. I'm not a person to complain easily but was very annoyed at her attitude. You would think they would watch if people are taken & not left sitting for ages. We all make mistakes just say sorry !!I travel from Bridgeton so think I will find a vet nearer home .

Always keep you waiting and the quote we have just had to have due claws removed depends on the amount of bandaging required. I mean come on that's taking it to the extreme. Just have a fixed charge.....

Friendly, attentive practice. I've been going there for 10 + years. We have seen some tough times with a cat that had cancer and putting down my golden lab. Just wanted to leave review to say a huge thank you to the staff at Taylor Vets - especially the vet who we have seen a few times with red curly hair (sorry I can't remember her name) my dog is always a nervous wreck going into the vets but the vet made us feel so calm and was so patient with her totally understanding which made the situation a lot easier. My dog can show signs of fear aggression and she knew exactly how to deal with this especially with her getting her booster jags. Just wanted to say I really appreciate it and wouldn't take her anywhere else xx

I've been taking my animals here for yrs but after yesterday's visit I might be changing vet. My cat was limping so phoned for appointment got one for 2.15 , I arrived at 2.10 & checked in at reception . I waited 35 mins seemed busy but then noticed people coming in after me were taken so went back to reception .Spoke to different person she seemed puzzled asked me who I had spoke to ? I Pointed to girl in question & was asked to have a seat. The vet then called me in & said to me "if you are going to be late could you let us know" I explained I wasn't late . I was rather angry so when I was paying for the treatment I spoke to the receptionist & told her that the vet had thought I was late! She didn't apologise just said someone else must have clicked my name after her ! Very Poor. I'm not a person to complain easily but was very annoyed at her attitude. You would think they would watch if people are taken & not left sitting for ages. We all make mistakes just say sorry !!I travel from Bridgeton so think I will find a vet nearer home .

Fantastic service. One of our dogs has been very poorly over the last week and the care and kindness given and shown to him has been absolutely first class and hugely appreciated. We are a much happier house this week as he at last seems to be on the up. Thank you!

Great vets, always do their best for their patients. They go above and beyond. Reception staff always very welcoming, informative and chatty and nurses too.
Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Always keep you waiting and the quote we have just had to have due claws removed depends on the amount of bandaging required. I mean come on that's taking it to the extreme. Just have a fixed charge.....
