Shockingly awful vets . Waited nearly an hour passed my appointment time they had put me in the wrong column on computer no apology from receptionist. Eventually saw vet who did apologise, but she could barely speak English . Went back to reception did have all the tablets in so will have to go back in two days . Amazing service from Claire, Sian and their team. The love and caring they show their patients is second to none. They all cared for Lulu until the day she died and gave her a quality life while suffering from SM, cured 8wk old Daisy of parvo and continue to manage Titch with addisons. Our dog had been spade and a couple of days after the operation the wound started to weep. Took her down to A59 branch, no attempt to seal the wound but they prescribed antibiotics costing us £50. I have to agree with other comments, you never see the same vet so no personal service to you and your dog, always looking to prescribe antibiotics!!! Money making. We won’t be going again. Absolutely shocking, rang earlier about my cat (desperate for help as it was a Sunday) and they said to me straight away that if I bring him in they would euthanise him!!! Actually I paid £4 for antibiotics from a far better practice and he is now home, painless and recovering! No killing needed! Clearly all about the money! Just want to say thanks for the added stress you actually caused me by saying you would just kill my cat rather than treat him! Also I’ve reported you cos god knows how many more lives could of been saved by a simple treatment rather than putting them down! I’m so glad I didn’t bring my boy here and he’s actually home with us now. Should be ashamed of yourselves, only give 1 star cos I have too. Read Less

All about charging you more. Wanting to perform unnecessary procedures. Blood tests but not full blood tests so you need to pay again for a full set. I won't be using them again. Overall I have found them to charge too much and not treat my various pets thoroughly. Our cat lost weight and they were sure it was her thyroid but it wasn't. They wanted to do scans but it would not help the diagnosis... They talked about quality of life. The cat has now gained 1.1 kgs, had B12 injections and this is because she was diagnosed by a better and decent vet practice who are not all about extra charges. We have spent over £900 in 4 months but Myerscough are just a money making practice. Read Less

A very friendly practice that provides the best care to my dogs. We are always given plenty of time to discuss any concerns and never feel rushed. Nothing is too much trouble and communication is excellent. I want to say a massive thank you to all the staff who helped me on the evening of Monday 20th November. My cat, Buster, was badly injured and me thinking I was going to lose him had made me quite hysterical. I rang My Vet and the lady who I spoke to first was so nice and understanding and explained everything that was going to happen as I needed a home visit. She informed me that someone would call me back and let me know when to expect the vet. After about 15 minutes I got a call letting me know that the vet would be with me within the hour which was so good of them as I wasn't even registered with them. In less then an hour two lovely ladies arrived and gave Buster the once over and established that he had been fighting and that a bite had caused an abscess on his head which made it all look more sinister then it was.. After a two week long antibiotic injection, which didn't go down well with Buster !, and lots of cuddles from all three of us, he started to look better almost immediately. In my opinion the staff, vets, nurses and anyone else who helped me really are second to none and I can't show my appreciation and thanks enough. Decent vets, but very much about the money first. When my dog was referred to an orthopaedic specialist the bills rack up so I initially hadn't noticed the smaller details, but just for a phone call to the orthopaedic specialist who may have even given myerscough commission was 15. Great experience. My cat had his adult canines and hadn't lost the baby ones yet. I was worried he would need to have them removed, but the nurse I saw suggested using a small dog Kong to see if they would come out without intervention. 2 days later both teeth had fallen out with the help of the Kong. I wasn't even charged for the visit. Would highly recommend myerscough vets. Read Less

Regardless of what anyone else thinks, from my personal experience these vets are awful - the worst vets I have ever came across. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO LOVES THEIR ANIMALS TO STAY AWAY FROM THEM. Lotte (bullmastiff age 6) our beloved pet went into surgery to be spayed (having her uterus removed). The vets told us she was fine and was making a quick recovery after the operation. The next day they forced Lotte to leave and we had to carry her into the car as she staggered and couldn't walk properly, we told the vets something is wrong but they assured her she would be fine over night. Lotte was in severe pain and wouldn't stop crying all night and the day after, we kept calling these vets but they said we was being over the top and they wouldn't come out to see to her. They neglected us, eventually after us calling 15 times and begging them they came out. Lotte was paralysed from the back end and there was nothing they could do, so she had to be put down. I lost my best friend. We have had an autopsy done on Lotte and it shows there was trauma to the spine, from forceful impact. Before she went into the surgery her back was fine and she could run, everything shows she was a healthy fit dog with no family history of bad conditions. So whatever happened to Lotte's spine was done when she was in the care of these vets, she was either dropped by them or they hit a nerve during surgery. They also lied saying she had ate a full bowl of food before they released her, yet the autopsy shows her stomache was empty. Whatever it is they have tried to cover it all up. These vets only care about the money not the animals! Nothing will ever get my beloved pet Lotte back who was a part of my family and meant the world to me, I miss her so much. But I will hold these vets accountable for what they have done. Hopefully this review will stop other people from going through the same situation and keep their pets safe away from the wrong people. My Vets give really good care for your pets. Whenever you go in, the staff are friendly and helpful and they always advise on the best options and give you a sense they really know what they are doing. If you have a problem out of normal opening hours, they also have their own out of hours service on Longshight road in Clayton Le Dale. Happy to recommend! Read Less
