I can highly recommend this Vet Practice. We've been with them almost 14 years when they responded to an emergency when our own vet at the time wouldn't. We owe our Poppy's life to the fabulous staff at Hillcrest. All the vets, nurses & reception staff are so caring and incredibly competent. We ( the Cooper family) would like to say a huge thank you for the emergency treatment, administered to Poppy the day she came in with an awful injury sustained whilst out doing what springer spaniels do, ie, running amok in Rivington and getting caught up in a bush. Hillcrest Animal Hospital is a very friendly, up to date veterinary hospital. The staff are devoted to delivering a professional and compassionate service. Fantastic service received at Hillcrest! After my dog was attacked whilst out on a walk I rushed to Hillcrest. Without an appointment the team of vets and nurses provided emergency treatment and explained what they were doing. The whole time she was being treated I was kept up to date by the vets. Our family pet of 10 years was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer having had a series of visits to Hillcrest Animal Hospital for various tests and investigative work. We cannot praise enough the highest level of care and compassion we received from the vets who we have seen up to now in particular to Darragh and Jess. Darragh sat us down and spent over an hour preparing a treatment plan for Jessie's final months. We went home assured with the peace of mind that all the options were explained to us in detail and that everything that could be done has been done. I am unsatisfied with the diagnosis and treatment of my dog at Hillcrest. Blood and urine samples were taken and medication prescribed. There was no improvement in my dog's health following months of medication. I decided to get a second opinion and took to my dog to The Pinewood Veterinary Practice. I described the signs and symptoms to the vet who examined my dog and believed that my dog had Cushing's Disease. After a test which confirmed his diagnosis, appropriate medication has been prescribed. My dog has suffered months of stress and a deterioration in her health, which could have been prevented.
