Very professional and ‘personal’ service, our Yorkie has been a patient since we had him from a few weeks old. Kate (I hope my memory isn’t letting me down) is incredibly calm and conscientious, especially with our hyperactive yapper!!! I wouldn’t dream of taking him anywhere else.

We have used this vet for years and have always been happy with the service. However when visited recently the vet we saw was very unpleasant not at all understand and incapable of allowing us to speak. I would no longer recommend this vet at all.

Fantastic vets....ignore the other reviewers never had a problem if you wanna talk neglect and attitudes go to abbeydale vets horrific. Ms Steel the vet in the darwen practise has done everything she can for our dog. Very caring and understanding highly reccommended.

Surprised at the earlier review as I had used this Vet before and was very happy. Visited on Thursday. Not the Vet seen previously. This chap had no idea at all. I had to insist on my dog be given the treatment as prescribed at previous visit. Rang the Blackburn branch to complain only to be told that I was rude and offensive by the Practice Manager when trying to explain what had happened. Tried to speak to the owner today but was told by the Practice Manager that she would not speak to me and was told by him that I had to put my complaint in writing to them. - I only wanted to explain to her what had happened. Both are obviously ignorant!! Decided instead to write a letter of complaint directly to the RCVS which could have been avoided if she had just spoken to me as I had asked. Vets need to realise that a bad reputation will cost them dearly.

If I could leave no stars I would, don't even ring them to book your animal in, the neglect we have had in regards to our dog is appalling, if you love your pet avoid them like the plague. The receptionist who isn't qualified as a vet thinks she can quote is a 700 operation without an actual vet seeing her! Disgusted is an understatement

Very professional and ‘personal’ service, our Yorkie has been a patient since we had him from a few weeks old. Kate (I hope my memory isn’t letting me down) is incredibly calm and conscientious, especially with our hyperactive yapper!!! I wouldn’t dream of taking him anywhere else.

Surprised at the earlier review as I had used this Vet before and was very happy. Visited on Thursday. Not the Vet seen previously. This chap had no idea at all. I had to insist on my dog be given the treatment as prescribed at previous visit.
