Last night my cat fell out of the bannister and right to the bottom of the stairs landing on her head and clearly causing some neurological damage from her symptoms shown. My nearest Out of hour vets was Preston which to me felt too far as my cat needed seeing straightaway. Therefore I rang bay vets to see if they could help. I was basically turned away because I wasn't registered with their practice and she was 'not obliged to see my cat'. No empathy was shown in fact I was told I should have considered my choice of vetinary practices if vets for pets nearest out of hours is Preston. Never mind that my cat was suffering!! Luckily burch tree vets saw me within 30 mins and we put her to sleep to end her suffering. At least they were considerate, compassionate, kind and caring. I will be informing everyone I know how awful you were to me when my cat was in need and suggest people not to use you in future. all I can say is I am absolutely disgusted to be treat like that. A few weeks ago on a Sunday evening one of my Border Collies, Inca, had a series of violent seizures. Ellie, Katie, and Heather saved her life that night. Following the seizures, the best we could hope for was a diagnosis of epilepsy. Unfortunately following an MRI scan she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. The next couple of weeks were a bit rocky but Katie at Morecambe managed to settle Inca down, so that she could hopefully start a course of radiotherapy at the University of Liverpool Animal Hospital in Cheshire. Sadly, she deteriorated massively a couple of weeks ago and had to be put to sleep, before she had chance to start radiotherapy. The care and expertise shown by Bay Vets, especially Katie, over the last few weeks has been nothing less than exceptional. See you again soon (Hopefully just for boosters though!)Read Less

Traveled to this vet after finding out the vet who would be seeing us at our local surgery was one we don't like - he's very rough and cold with the animals. We took our newly adopted & very sick hedgehog to Bay Vets and they were fantastic - not only can you clearly see this is a surgery that cares about people's pets (the waiting room is split into small sections for cats, dogs & rabbits; blankets provided to cover carriers etc) but the vet we saw was wonderful. She was gentle with our hedgehog and knew what she was talking about, she also handled him as little as possible as he was already ill and stressed. Also found this vet to be cheaper than our local surgery - just wish it was closer to us as we don't drive! Read Less
