We needed an emergency appointment for our cat on Sunday, the reception staff were lovely and got us fitted in. I am so hapy I found this practice I have a number of exotic animals ranging from snakes to monkeys and meerkats. The practice is clean the receptionist I usually deal with is lovely and always happy to see us. The price of the treatments are so reasonable usually exotics vets charge ridiculous fees a but here its a fraction of what others charge. Karen is always amazing with me very chatty and knows what she is doing she has treated my animals many times. I love Andrew he is so sweet kind caring he always has a massive smile on his face is really clued up and knows his stuff he treated my little guy englebert who I was sure wasn't going to make it but thanks tp Andrew and Karen he did and is fit and well. I just wanted to thank Kim and Karen from Conway Drive for the way they dealt with the sad passing of our eldest dog Teddy this afternoon at our home. The lead up to today had been very traumatic for us all with a very important and devastating decision to be made however their compassion and dignity was second to none. We first took Bob the Dog to Oakhill Kirkham Branch a couple of years ago after we had a feeling our previous vet may have been advising the most profitable rather than the most sensible option for a minor ailment. We were quite correct! We saved ourselves a huge bill and Bob saved himself from going under the knife quite unnecessarily. Bob's advancing age and enduring mischievous misadventures led to a few more visits to the lovely staff at Oakhill Kirkham over the last 2 years, always leading to him recovering quickly and enjoying the fuss and attention from the nurses and vets. Sadly Bob went for his last visit to Oakhill a week ago. The Vet took time to explain the illness. He and the nurses were sympathetic to our emotions throughout. They made a very difficult time much more bearable. We were grateful for the condolence card from the practice - such a thoughtful gesture! Love them, no complaints! just wish they would sort out their out of hours emergency!! Not nice arriving at a strange practice strange vets/ nurses different practice values!! which is open from 7pm 7 am fully equipped and being charged 130 before u walk in the door wether a mouse, cat dog rabbit!!!! Come on guys u can do better than this I would rather pay 200 for our doors at our practice to be opened! Read Less
