I can not praise WENDY LANE vets enough, unfortunately we had to have our doggy put down just over a month ago, he would have been 17 in October and the emphathy, kindness and support was next to none, from Phil, Emma, Paula, Chloe and all the other team that dealt with us, superb. Unfortunately we now have to prepare for our other doggy, age. Thank you so much Phil and all staff for looking after us, means so much. Read Less

Very disappointed! After being with this vet for the past 8 years they diagnosed treatment amounting to just short of 300 that isn't even needed , this is after getting a second opinion from the RSPCA in Rochdale and in Manchester!! All that was needed was a course of antibiotics prescribed by Manchester as apparently Wendy Lanes do not give antibiotics for mouth infections caused by broken teeth until after operating!!! By the way, NO broken teeth to be seen!! Obviously a change of vets is now on the cards! Read Less

A few months ago my daughter took pity on a stray cat, she tried many methods of finding her owner. None were successful sadly, her own cat would not tolerate the poor little thing. Managed to catch it with my help and took it to Wendy Lane vets to see if she was chipped, sadly not. They kept her that day and start her on the road to improved health. She was then transferred to RSPCA to continue her recovery. The vets kept my daughter informed of all that was being done for her and never asked for any payment for the treatments. Thank you to the staff there for taking her in and putting my daughters mind at ease. Last we heard she was well enough to go up for adoption, hope she got her forever home. Read Less

My cat, Kyle, has been a patient at Wendy Lane's since I took over care for him five years ago. We went there in April 2013 when I noticed he had a lump on one of his hind legs, and were horrified to be told it was a malignant growth, after they had done tests. Phil, one of the surgeons, operated on his leg a few days later and removed what he could, but said he couldn't be sure he had removed all the cancerous tissue. Kyle had a bright orange bandage on his leg, so it looked as though he had a false leg made from a carrot!Phil said, to be sure that the cancer would not recur, he could refer Kyle to a cancer specialist  near Liverpool and possibly have a course of chemotherapy. Or we could continue to visit the surgery every six months for a check by Phil for any reoccurence of the cancer. After a few days consideration, we decided on six-monthly monitoring, and Phil said he thought if Kyle was his cat, he would have made the same decision. This meant a lot to me. The operation was a difficult one as there wasn't much skin to cover the wound, and it was feared that it would not heal very well. But it did, and I think that the operation must have been done very well. I have always felt that things were explained very clearly to me, and the staff have always been friendly and helpful, and they say that Kyle is a star patient! Read Less

Took my puppy To littleborough practice week last Monday . She was suffering with vomiting & dioreha , they kept her in for 2 hours on a drip pain killers Ect , asked to bring her back tue ... Same again drip pain killers ect and again back wed , my dog had not eaten since Sunday , was rapidly dropping weight . Couldn't get her to even keep anything down ,yet sill I was told it's a tummy bug , wed was my last visit , he said with Easter weekend , he would see Millie at Rochdale branch , no pain killers just gave me something to line her tummy , still my puppy wasn't eating , by Friday my puppy still not showing signs of any improvement , I rang several emergency vets , finally got through ..... Sadly my puppy died a horrific death , she had a major bleed , no pain relief what's so ever ... Is this still a tummy bug ? Questions I want to ask my vet , but guess what orang Rochdale branch , was assured she would contact littleborough branch , I would receive a phone call off vet who treated her . I waited today untill lunchtime , still no call , so I went to vet , was told he had gone home !!!! I'm furious so I've made an appointment for tomorrow , I feel let down , even by the vet I spoke to on sat , no communication at all , my pup has died , and he couldn't be bothered to even ring me , but yet very quick to sell you this special dog food .. And charge you consultation fees & treatment , yes my puppy may have died , but if they had done blood test , like the 1st vet I saw at this practice told me next step would be blood test , tues the other vet didn't even mention it , I just feel had he done further test something would have shown up? I feel she may have had a chance , she suffered , I work at the hospice , I see death all the time , but I feel she suffered which could of been avoided , I had to post this as I love my animals , gave this practice 1 star , only because the receptionist was under standing ,Read Less
