Sadly, my dog had internal bleeding which was caused by a ruptured spleen due to a large cancerous tumor within it. we know our dog will at some point develop Cancer in other organs after removing his spleen but we can give him a couple more months of life so that he can be spoilt rotten, eat human food all day and go on mini adventures....his time is near but he deserves all that we have. Outstanding! This superb team of vets saved our dogs life! Having used The Park at Glenfield this week for the first time, for our dog Coco, we cannot recommend them enough. We took Coco in after she became unwell quite quickly where she ended up needing a four hour operation on her stomach/intestines. The treatment we received was absolutely first class. Professional, caring and incredibly reassuring after we'd had a very bad experience elsewhere. We are so grateful to veterinary surgeon Ariel Korber who performed Coco's op and to vet Hayley & their colleagues who kept us fully informed for the next two days about her recovery. It was so comforting to know how Coco was doing at every step. Ariel even called us a day after Coco came home to see how she was and answer any other questions we had. Absolutely impeccable service from a team of highly qualified, genuinely caring vets. For anyone who's pet is a much loved member of the family like Coco is, you can be rest assured they're in very capable, caring hands at this practice. Thank you all so much!!!Read Less

I wasn't happy with the last service I received for my house rabbit Bailey. He was hospitalised for a few days as he had gi status again. They gave him an X-ray (although I never saw it) and they had him on a drip the second night and called me to say he was ok and I can pick him up. I therefore got all relieved and excited he was ok. I even took a box of Lind chocolates to thank the staff and a card. I got him home, he didn't eat, he sat in a corner of my lounge in his own wee with no improvement at all and he couldn't even hop. I had to take him back at 4am on an emergency to have him put to sleep as he was clearly suffering and although I loved him more than anything else in the world I would not allow any pet of mine to suffer. Vet initially tried to imply I hadn't given him his meds!!!!! I know it was baileys kidneys that were giving up in the end as he pulled his lovely gorgeous fluffy body in if you gently touched him there :( however no idea why this wasn't shown in the X-ray (did they even give him one?) - blood tests should have been carried out when he was hospitalised and he should not have been allowed home. His suffering was prolonged and that upsets me still 4 months later. I wrote a letter to the vets as I had a lot of questions i.e. Why did they let him home, why didn't they carry out blood tests which may have given us the prognosis and he may have been saved. I did get a call from the vet but he gave me about 5 different prognosis as to what Bailey could have had. Not good enough I'm afraid. It cost me over 300 and he came home suffering when had I known, I would not have put him through the unnecessary stress and trauma of the car journey. Money was constantly mentioned as well. I received a condolence letter from help u cover, baileys pet insurers but nothing from the vets. When I went to pick Bailey up they just pass his ashes over without a word. I have another rabbit now and went to a different vets. Read Less

Easily, one of the best practices I've used. The vets show love and compassion toward their patients, the reception staff do everything they can to help you, and they have a separate waiting room for cats and small animals! Very recently our amputee rabbit, Splodge, developed an infection in her fully healed stump. This came at a time when me and my partner didn't have enough money to pay the cost of her treatment, but the reception staff agreed that she needed to be seen. So they advised us to pay what we could afford, and to settle the bill later in the month when we could afford it. Best vets I've ever been to. Read Less

Three stars are for the vets as they will go above and beyond for your loved ones and this has been the case for 15 years, what my bad experience has been is for the people that are supposed to greet you when you walk in and make sure your ok and ready for your appointment, I have found dealing with the public has not been there forte and this is not all the reception staff this has been a experience with a couple, we do love are pets and sometimes are upset but surely this is what you might deal with, I am also sure there are times when staff must want to ask you to turn around and walk back though the door you came though, I really don't find cancelling an appointment and making clients sit 45 minutes because you didn't like the way they told you they were upset how they had been dealt with is OK, or stressing the animal more with a waiting game it's a long time to ask an animal to sit, I am sure the lady who knows I am talking about herself must be having a giggle over this, but I promise when we were handed are vets bill we were not giggling we understood the bill needed to be paid and like most people we have insurance because in case of these situations we are covered we do not have that sort of money lying about and insurance covers this but to be made to feel it needed paying now and looking at us as if we didn't care about making sure of family member was not important upset me in words I can not find to say, also I know your not a charity but this is why on the insurance there is the option to pay directly to the vets, I am very upset about the overall experience we have had and shocked but this has brought us to the desion of leaving and taking our business some where else we have spent a lot of money over the years here and that is the main factors it's that we have to try and build a new relationship with another vets which is a stress in its self, but once again thank you to all the other staff at Park vets for all there help over the years. First of all paying 120 just to go there because of a bank holiday was appalling enough. But then on, the whole experience was atrocious. My cat had fallen ill and we didn't know what was wrong, but obviously in a state of emergency and worry we took him there to be treated in hope they'd do a great job. The entire time they had no clue what was actually wrong, and just kept guessing and left him on a drip and took over 24 hours to even do tests to find out what was actually wrong. All in all he was there for over 48 hours, and they called TWICE. We had to continuously chase them up. We were then allowed to pick him up and were told a "total" charge for when we went to get him over the phone, but upon arrival they had for some reason charged us another 40 more? You are ripped off from the second you get there, all they cared for was money. AND when we got him home his bum and fur on that end was covered in poo stains and poo hanging off and knots all over his fur (he is long haired)... I am disgusted. I even spoke to another lady in there collecting her cat and couldn't believe the awful service they give. I would never, ever take my pets anywhere near that place again. And I'm a fair person, so trust my advice and stay far away from there. (I have used them once before when my kitten passed away, and the service was excellent - even if a bit pricey, but this time was an absolute atrocity... I have no idea why, but unfortunately that's the truth.)Read Less

Quite simply the best veterinary group I've ever known. Samantha Ford and the rest of the team have looked after my beloved cat Nipper for the past 18 months. We were able to manage her diabetes and pancreatitis very well, even though it took some creativity, as she was a difficult case! When old age finally caught up with Nipper, they helped me provide her with excellent palliative care at home. The front desk staff, vet techs, and vets at Park Vet Group are kind, sensitive, flexible, and go the extra mile to look after their patients and us humans who love them. Thank you all. xxx Read Less

Our dog Harvey (a black labrador) had a very bad eye infection probably caused by an object penetrating the eye ball. He was seen at the Glenfield practice of Park Vets Group by Gareth Jones who is a specialist in eyes. The infection had progressed quickly and had infected the whole eye socket and it was looking highly likely that Harvey would lose his eye. However Gareth Jones was able operate to remove most of the infection and then by treating the remaining infection Gareth saved Harvey's eye. We cannot thank Gareth or the Park Vet Group enough. We have a Cocker Spaniel with a continuing eye problem . Our Vet in Nottingham was unable to diagnose and treat the problem and referred us to Gareth Jones at the Glenfield surgery. On the first visit he correctly identified the condition and recommended a treatment which vastly improved her eyes over the next few days. On subsequent visits Gareth monitored her eyes and recommended slight modifications to control the condition without using too much medication. The condition is now stable and our dog's vision is secured for the foreseeable future. Gareth's knowledge, experience and kind , calm manner has impressed us from the outset. We cannot thank him enough. The staff at Glenfield have always been welcoming and helpful especially with processing our insurance claims. Firstly the facilities are second to none, like any vets it really does depend which vet you see. I've seen vets here who were amazing equally a few not so. Very expensive practice though!

We would not hesitate to recommend The Park Group to pet owners in Leicester and to anyone considering a referral from another practice. If only we lived nearer ! Read Less
