I had been to 2 other veterinary practices before joining Meadow Lane and it was by far the best decision. A previous vet from a different practice gave my young dog a prognosis of 3 months to live due to a rare gastrointestinal condition, we came to Meadow Lane because we wanted to give our dog the best shot and find a practice that would work with us to provide the best care for as long as possible. Thankfully, my dog is still here, over 18 months later and living her very best life; it would not be possible without the care provided by Jenny and all of the wonderful staff at Meadow Lane Veterinary Centre. Jenny had to drain my dog during lockdown, she spent over 2.5 hours manually removing 6 litres of fluid from her abdomen. My previous veterinary practice had refused to do this and what became apparent in that moment is that Meadow Lane simply care for the well-being of our pets, above all else. Not once have they recommended euthanasia or told us to prepare for the worse, actually they have been our glimmer of hope in an otherwise bleak situation. I have since had 3 of my neighbours complain about our previous vet (Cockburns in Coalville) and they have subsequently been referred to Meadow Lane. They cannot praise them enough either. Thank you so much. Your service is worth every penny and more.

I cannot rate this vet centre highly enough. I recently had to have a dear dog put to sleep after a short illness and the care and thought that the vets and vet nurses at the practice showed to my little dog and to me was wonderful. They came out to my house so she could slip away peacefully on my lap. Then a week later I received a hand written condolence card which was a lovely surprise and something I have never received from a vet before. Thank you Meadow Lane Veterinary Centre.

We have a grumpy cat who doesn't like leaving home. Yesterday Jenny saw her at her worst she was very helpful and professional as Skye has a water infection & really didn't like being handled. I have used this surgery for over 25 years with cats, dogs & other 'small' animals. They are always very helpful & kind when sometime you are distressed having to part with your loved pets.

This has got to be the worst bets I have ever had dealing with.after being at meadow lane many years with many dogs. I rang last night to ask if someone could come out to my 19yr old cat who was in a great deal of pain.the vet on phone said as my cat hadn't ever had treatment at that vet he could not see him .I was very worried about my cat but the vet said I would have to find another vet's. After another 45 minutes of my cat suffering we found a lovely vets 30minutes away in derby. Where he was put to sleep

We have a grumpy cat who doesn't like leaving home. Yesterday Jenny saw her at her worst she was very helpful and professional as Skye has a water infection & really didn't like being handled. I have used this surgery for over 25 years with cats, dogs & other 'small' animals. They are always very helpful & kind when sometime you are distressed having to part with your loved pets.

Have been taking our cats and dogs to these guys for 18 + years and they have been brilliant especially recently with all the problems Humph has had. Would also recommend their monthly scheme for yearly jabs, flea, tick and worm treatments, it makes it so much easier.

If you have a new puppy or kitten they offer four free lessons on caring for them, a practical guide and worming/fleas/vaccinations at reduced rates.

Couldn't rate this vets any higher. Staff are all exceptional and so caring. We've seen Jenny recently who has just been brilliant. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Opening hours on a Saturday have also been incredibly helpful and have meant we haven't had to travel far for an emergency vets.

This has got to be the worst bets I have ever had dealing with.after being at meadow lane many years with many dogs. I rang last night to ask if someone could come out to my 19yr old cat who was in a great deal of pain.the vet on phone said as my cat hadn't ever had treatment at that vet he could not see him .I was very worried about my cat but the vet said I would have to find another vet's. After another 45 minutes of my cat suffering we found a lovely vets 30minutes away in derby. Where he was put to sleep
