Thank you for making us feel comfortable when unfortunately we had to let our cat Holly go we were a blubbery mess and thank you for trying everything you could before finding out what the reason was and lastly thank you for the card that we just received through the post for our loss I've never heard of a surgery doing this before and was a very nice gesture. I highly recommend this surgery as we have used it for years and plan to carry on doing so. 10/10 Read Less

Well, I took a Holly the dog I was walking while the owners were away and had been a bit off for a few days but had suddenly started to have difficulty breathing after a huge lump had appeared on her face and neck. Holly was registered with the Hollies. The dog could hardly breath due to a huge lump that had appeared in her throat. The lady vet did not do a thorough enough examination and did not keep the dog in. She just said she thought it was an abscess and not to worry about the breathing! Later that day the dog got worse and I decided not to take it back to the Hollies but to go to Chine House who did a thorough check and found all her lymph glands hugely swollen and suspected cancer. They kept Holly in and their care was exemplary. Cancer was confirmed 2 days later by a blood test. Holly has less than 3 months left, she was a regular visitor to the Hollies and I wonder why her cancer was not picked up sooner by the practice! . I would NOT recommend the Hollies! Read Less

Took my dog for acupuncture, as that's one of the last resorts we have to treat his trapped nerve. Vet seemed knowledgeable and helpful, in a no-nonsense way. If the review below was about acupuncture, (given this is one of the few practices where you can get it performed) yes, the needles are re-used, they are not hypodermic needles, they are solid, having no hole up the centre so they are easily sterilised, and yes, your 'animal' (you don't specify, some 'review') may feel discomfort initially, that's just the way it is, it's not a magic bullet.
