My dog damaged her cruciate ligament. The euro vet said without any confidence that we should try "conservative therapy". ie just leaving her for a week. So a week later she stated that she needed surgery but that the surgeon was away for a months holiday. So it is quite clear that this was just a delaying tactic because a 5 week wait would have been obviously unreasonable. This is important because the leg suffers muscle wastage making recovery much more difficult. Here is the official advice "While most dogs with cruciate injuries require surgery, a small number will improve with conservative therapy. This mostly involves several weeks of cage rest, with very brief, calm leash walks for bathroom breaks only." This only works with small dogs, Missy is 20kg and obviously not fit for conservative therapy. Missy also had a cyst. Eastfield charged Missy £120 for consultation and antibiotics. The cyst remained so I then took her to Clee Vets who charged half the amount £60 and then followed it up with surgery solving the problem Read Less

Eastfield have been my option for veterinery care for around 30 years now all told. I would not consider taking my dogs anywhere else. All the staff are so friendly.

Vet Jeremy is brilliant and was so kind when we had to have our old dog put to sleep. They are fantastic. Read Less

Both here and the North thoresby branches are absolutely fabulous. Everyone is very friendly and caring. I've been with the practice for about 30 years and wouldn't go anywhere else with my pets.
