Great service. Took my disabled daughter and her cat here as he was poorly. They seemed to want me to register my daughter's cat in my name, i don't know why as hes not my cat. Eventually did register my daughters cat as hers. Staff was really nice and made my daughters cat better. Very good care given. Read Less

They dont have proper care. They keep blaming owner who dont want ro neuter their dog. Every illness a dog has they blame the owner. They force people to neuter their dog. Very scary. You must never force someone Read Less

Without the support and care provided by Blue Cross we would have lost one of our dogs far sooner than he deserved, and when the time finally came they were caring and professional. I honestly don't know what we would have done without them. Yes, waiting times can be long, and the waiting room can be busy and sometimes stressful but that is offset by the excellent care they provide on a shoestring budget. Read Less

Charity animal hospital with some very caring people, who will go out of their way to give your pet the attention it needs. They provide an amazing service even when they are busy operating on other animals behind the scenes. They run the hospital entirely on donations. Read Less

was very disappointed when i took my cats for bloods to be taken as both on regular medication, only to be told by the vet "he was running late" so didn't want to take bloods, then asked if i usually just left them to collect later which i have never had to do in all the years that my diabetic cat has had bloods taken nor my thyroid cat. Basically I stressed two cats out, kept them waiting over 40 minutes for nothing! have always praised the blue cross and appreciate the work they do but these actions where as if my animals weren't important because "he was running behind" Read Less

You get a lot of ups and downs with this place - we've used them on and off for years and it's hard to define the good and the bad. On one side the vets here are really good and they have decent facilities. On the other, due to the nature of being a charity, they have to run at a shoestring, they are overwhelmed by clients (some of whom are less than appreciative of services given). My greatest gripe that mars everything done by the better than average veterinary and support personal has to be the admin staff - there has been many occasions when a kind word and patience could have predicated the antagonism that they engender. So, assuming you qualify for care, can get through the waiting list, the less than supportive admin (especially when emergencies arise) you can actually get an excellent quality of care not seen in some of the other vet' practices in the area. I had to bring my mum's cat in a couple of months ago out of hours because she lost the use of her back legs suddenly, Unfortunatly she had to be put to sleep but the staff were brilliant and explained everything to me and also to my mum on the phone of what was in the best interest of lilly. They was so careful and gentle with her before and after she was put to sleep. Even putting her her back in my cat box to be taken home they was so considerate and made an awful situation a little bit better and I can't thank them enough. X Read Less

This charity animal hospital is amazing the staff are all friendly and we. The treatments they provide and the help and information is amazing alot of people wouldn't be able to have pets if it wasn't for the work they do to help low income owners be able to have their fur babies. My daughter wouldn't be able to have her best friend if they wasn't here the treatments and care costs more than people realise but all they ask is a small donation if you can. What an amazing and caring group of vets and staff. Due to unforeseen severe health problems I had to stop working and had my beloved 5 year old Akita I had owned since she was 8 weeks old. Over the last 6 years the Blue Cross had been there for her when she needed help. Unfortunately it came to the point a few weeks ago where I had to make the most difficult and heartbreaking decision to make and have her put to sleep. . The vet Richard and all the staff were so wonderful and understanding and the care they showed us was above and beyond what they had to. We were overwhelmed with their kindness. Then shortly after I received a beautiful hand written card totally unexpected and again beyond anything they had to do.
