If I could have left a zero rating I would have done.I trusted these people with my very ill boxer and can only say I was disgusted with the treatment,or lack of that she received.The dog was collapsing with anemia caused by an internal blood loss they hadn't been able to locate and we fought to get her transferred to Leahurst on the Wirral.I said when we collected her that she would need to be carried to the car as she was weak.This was totally disregarded and the dog was lead into waiting room where she collapsed on floor.Together with the unpleasant attitude of one of the female vets,in front of waiting owners with their own animals was totally unforgivable.We lost her two days later after fantastic service and real compassion by the staff at Leahurst.If only we had gone to them sooner the dog may have been dealt with as I would have wished at such a sad time.

Had our precious kitten neutered here recently. She was up and about within hours and appeared to suffer no discomfort whatsoever. Vets were very thorough with follow up appointments and pleased to report a full recovery. Many thanks to Martin, the vet that performed the procedure.
Have entrusted them with many animals over the years and would definitely recommend this practice without any reservations.

Medivet Alder...having been let down badly by my local vet I took my little dog, Tixy, who had had an accident and broken his leg, to Alder. To say he was treated like royalty would be an understatement. Sally helped me in with him, Dr Iker diagnosed and kept me informed throughout. A badly broken femur was x rayed and the dog made comfortable. The staff, Hannah, Iker, all on reception, Esther the deputy head nurse and all the others looked after my little man and went over and above what I would expect. If only the NHS cared so much. After 3 hours in surgery, with staff staying past the end of the shift to ensure consistency of care, the little pooch was in recovery. I cannot recommend the staff and treatment he got more highly. 8 hours post op, Tixy is a touch sore but walking around and doing terrier things as he should. A 5 star rating for a 5 star service. I cannot recommend Medivet Alder in any greater way. Thanks guys, we owe you.

My cat, Keith,( my furbaby) was taken to alder vets at 10.30 pm last Saturday.He was diagnosed with a broken pelvis and leg. The staff were superb with him. I visited every night and keith always was in a clean bed with food and water by him. Iker, the vet called me each morning and night to keep me informed of Keith's condition and really did go that extra mile.. i cant thank all the staff enough and shall definitely be using this vets for both my cats in future.

Alder Vets for vet of the year!! At such a sad time for our family, All the staff at Alder Vets have continued to support us as they have done for the last thirteen and a half years. Everyone is always smiling when you go in and they can never do enough to help you. From the ladies on the front desk, the vets and all the back room staff that you never see but dispense the little bottles of magic that make our fury babies better or in less pain, everyone from the Owens family would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Not wanting to single out individuals but special thanks must go to Iker and Geoff who really helped and comforted us in our final time of need with Charlie. Such a small gesture was received in the post yesterday morning, but it ment so much to us all. Thank you once again all at Alder Vets. RIP cheeky Charlie xx

I took my dog with breathing difficulties. As soon as I got there the vet spoke of putting my dog to sleep but I said if possible I would want to do all that could be done for her at any cost! We have been using this Vets for around 6 years. I can honestly say we have never experienced any problems and it's shocking to see some of the negative reviews they get. I am sure some people have them confused with somewhere else.
Our pets have always been treated so kindly and with great care and affection. Geoff is a great vet and the other vets we have seen have all been lovely and explained any health problems well. Not forgetting the lovely reception girls and nurses too. We love them!

All the staff are polite and approachable from the moment you walk in. My little boy, my cat Georgie had not been himself for over six months, and I couldn't put my finger on why! He went in for a check up and they identified that he had problems with his teeth. He had three whipped out and had a good recovery. They were so caring and I now have my boy back.

It is an emergency hospital, so sometimes there is a small wait.
As a pet owner, I totally understand this, because that could be my pet needing emergency treatment one day!
The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff have always been very polite and gentle with my dog. She is a typical large breed bouncy dog and they still get down and give her a cuddle.
The nurses here are brilliant, very smiley and always wanting to give my dog a belly scratch.
I have only used the out of hours service once and had no complaints.

We can't thank everyone at Alder enough for how they have looked after our Staffy cross Indy over the last few months. In such a short space of time she has had 2 major surgeries for two different conditions and the staff have been amazing! They have put us at ease and looked after Indy so well. It says a lot that after so much trauma and 2 major surgeries, when we bring Indy back in for check ups she still goes in to the vets excited, happy and wagging her tail as she can't wait to see everyone there and be made a fuss of! Its so nice to have a vets we trust so much, thank you!

I have used Alder Vets for a long time for three of my dogs (my Dad also used Alder for his staffie) must be getting onto 20 plus years. I have always been very satisfied with the treatment. The staff are very caring which is much needed when dropping off a pet for an operation. The staff on the desk have answered many of my questions and always spend a lot of time so I get the right answers - even if they have to speak to a vet. They have a website for dog food and products etc which I think is excellent - even works out cheaper than the supermarket food!

Had our precious kitten neutered here recently. She was up and about within hours and appeared to suffer no discomfort whatsoever. Vets were very thorough with follow up appointments and pleased to report a full recovery. Many thanks to Martin, the vet that performed the procedure.

Medivet Alder...having been let down badly by my local vet I took my little dog, Tixy, who had had an accident and broken his leg, to Alder. To say he was treated like royalty would be an understatement. Sally helped me in with him, Dr Iker diagnosed and kept me informed throughout. A badly broken femur was x rayed and the dog made comfortable. The staff, Hannah, Iker, all on reception, Esther the deputy head nurse and all the others looked after my little man and went over and above what I would expect. If only the NHS cared so much. After 3 hours in surgery, with staff staying past the end of the shift to ensure consistency of care, the little pooch was in recovery. I cannot recommend the staff and treatment he got more highly. 8 hours post op, Tixy is a touch sore but walking around and doing terrier things as he should. A 5 star rating for a 5 star service. I cannot recommend Medivet Alder in any greater way. Thanks guys, we owe you.

My cat, Keith,( my furbaby) was taken to alder vets at 10.30 pm last Saturday.He was diagnosed with a broken pelvis and leg. The staff were superb with him. I visited every night and keith always was in a clean bed with food and water by him. Iker, the vet called me each morning and night to keep me informed of Keith's condition and really did go that extra mile.. i cant thank all the staff enough and shall definitely be using this vets for both my cats in future.

Everyone is always smiling when you go in and they can never do enough to help you. From the ladies on the front desk, the vets and all the back room staff that you never see but dispense the little bottles of magic that make our fury babies better or in less pain, everyone from the Owens family would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Not wanting to single out individuals but special thanks must go to Iker and Geoff who really helped and comforted us in our final time of need with Charlie. I took my dog with breathing difficulties. As soon as I got there the vet spoke of putting my dog to sleep but I said if possible I would want to do all that could be done for her at any cost! We have been using this Vets for around 6 years. I can honestly say we have never experienced any problems and it's shocking to see some of the negative reviews they get. I am sure some people have them confused with somewhere else.
Our pets have always been treated so kindly and with great care and affection. Geoff is a great vet and the other vets we have seen have all been lovely and explained any health problems well. Not forgetting the lovely reception girls and nurses too. We love them!

He went in for a check up and they identified that he had problems with his teeth. He had three whipped out and had a good recovery. They were so caring and I now have my boy back.

It is an emergency hospital, so sometimes there is a small wait.
As a pet owner, I totally understand this, because that could be my pet needing emergency treatment one day!
The prices are extremely reasonable and the staff have always been very polite and gentle with my dog. She is a typical large breed bouncy dog and they still get down and give her a cuddle.
The nurses here are brilliant, very smiley and always wanting to give my dog a belly scratch.
I have only used the out of hours service once and had no complaints.

We can't thank everyone at Alder enough for how they have looked after our Staffy cross Indy over the last few months. In such a short space of time she has had 2 major surgeries for two different conditions and the staff have been amazing! They have put us at ease and looked after Indy so well. It says a lot that after so much trauma and 2 major surgeries, when we bring Indy back in for check ups she still goes in to the vets excited, happy and wagging her tail as she can't wait to see everyone there and be made a fuss of! Its so nice to have a vets we trust so much, thank you!

I have used Alder Vets for a long time for three of my dogs (my Dad also used Alder for his staffie) must be getting onto 20 plus years. I have always been very satisfied with the treatment. The staff are very caring which is much needed when dropping off a pet for an operation. The staff on the desk have answered many of my questions and always spend a lot of time so I get the right answers - even if they have to speak to a vet. They have a website for dog food and products etc which I think is excellent - even works out cheaper than the supermarket food!
