We have both of our british shorthair cats registered at this veterinary practice. Our 1 year old cat Keyser unfortunately contracted calicivirus and deteriorated rapidly over the space of a few hours. I was able to get him an immediate appointment and we were seen, blood tests taken (which thankfully showed him to be healthy with nothing underlying) and we were sent home to monitor him overnight. As he was no better and wasn't eating or drinking we returned with him the next day and he was admitted for fluids and observation, we were allowed to take him home overnight (as he finds the vets extremely stressful and it was thought it would make him more comfortable). He was admitted again the following day, remaining there all day for more fluids and observation, then discharged in the evening with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories to take at home. This is a scary illness, I could not believe how unwell he had become so quickly, being such a big cat it was heartbreaking to see him so listless and uncomfortable. Six days later and he is back to his usual self which we are delighted about, as he was in such a state less than a week ago and we were worried we might lose him. He saw vets David and Sarah throughout his treatment and I cannot thank them both enough for all that they did for our lovely boy. All of the staff were brilliant, the veterinary nurses we saw gave us lots of great aftercare advice too as we were totally in the dark in relation to this illness. I would recommend this practice without hesitation, they were reassuring and very honest with us. The treatment Keyser had was excellent and I am sure his recovery was so successful thanks to the early intervention he had. Read Less

My daughter took our cat to long lane in Liverpool on the 11th January 2019. She had had me up through the night with a bit of a cough and when I went to feed her she wouldn’t eat my daughter rang and they fitted tab in. To cut along story short tab passed away that day. I can not speak highly enough about the staff and vets and had to do this even though we are grieving for our lovely tab. They did everything in their power to help tab and find out what the problem was. Unfortunately there was nothing they could do. The staff kept us informed all the time my daughter arrived unfortunately just after tab had passed and I arrived soon after her. As soon as I walked in they knew who I was and took me in to a side room with a couch, table etc really comfy. They left us with her telling us we could stay as long as we wanted. Occasionally they would come in to see if we were ok. When we asked for the bill it was itemised, but we were told that we could go home and pay it later if we couldn’t think about it now. They also asked did we want some paw prints and hair which we said we would. I know this is a long review and most people won’t read it but in a nut shell don’t go anywhere else the people who do this every day never become used to an animal passing and their empathy is amazing. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts particularly Steph and Sara xxx Read Less
