We're so committed to continuity of care across all our branches that we've made sure that the notes we have on all animals is available at all of our branches, all the time, via our high-tech, specially developed computer systems.
We promise that there will always be a veterinary surgeon available to look after your animal, day or night. We even have special 24-hour clinics in some areas, where vets and nurses are on duty all day and all night, every day of the year. These are our 24hr Continuous Care and Emergency Centres.
We volunteer to have all our clinics regulated by our governing body, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. Their Practice Standards Scheme ensures a consistently high standard of care, equipment and facilities for all our patients. Look out for the certificate awarded to your local practice, proudly on display!

Please do not use this practice.
Since the 2 vets have left and all reception staff.
Who had been there over eight years.
The practice are alleging that customers have alleged outstanding bills, going back a few years.
This isn't a few customers, at the moment over 56 customers have been contacted demanding payments are made.
It's absolutely ridiculous that so many customers would have not paid their bills, also other very poor practices going on.
Customers are getting threatened with debt collectors.
Surely if there was adverse behaviours occurring this should be taken up with previous vets, who where also partners in Medivets.
Also always check prices of treatments, as this company are very much higher than other vets.
These issues are presently being investigated.

AMAZING VETS. Been with a wide variety of pets inclu rabbits, parrot, canary and dogs. I am really extremely pleased that the high standards evident under the previous owner have been maintained by Medivet in recent years. Totally recommended and always feel Johann has a genuine desire to help.

Our treasured dog companion of 13yrs Troy was calmly and respectfully put to sleep by Johann. My family are devestated but it was his time to go to a better place where he could rest painfree. My family would like to thank Johann and his team for the way they handled this difficult process, they were beyond kind and respectful to our beloved Troy.
We also have another dog Khan who they care for so it comforts us that his health will be in excellent hands and that our relationship with Johann and his team will continue.

I've Just moved up to Prescot from Liverpool and wanted a local vet for my cat on the 3rdJuly 2018
I rang up and was told I could have a free flea check and then the treatment would cost £37.50. At the appointment I was told not to have any flea treatment for 15 days as I had already applied some the day before. At reception I was asked for £29.95 I queried this a good job I did and left paying nothing so be careful about what you pay for. I will not be using these vets again due to this experience.

The team at Prescot are always cheerful and welcoming. Veterinary surgeon Dr Johann Viljoen is dedicated and passionate about the animals in his care. He has taken the time to get to know Scooby over the years and cares for him as if he was his own. I feel incredibly lucky to have a vet that cares so much about my pet and will do everything he can to ensure he is always in tip top health. Scooby has had a number of complications over the last few years and as Scooby's family we are eternally grateful for the sensitivity and dedication demonstrated by Johann and the team.

Great greeting on arrival by the reception staff, Clean and inviting reception area, reception staff seemed to know what they were talking about. Very attentive American vet who gave both my cat and dog a thorough check up, also some useful advice. Good parking, will be back and I will recommend to my friends.

I have been with medivet risedale for in excess of 10 years. I cannot rate them high enough for being friendly or caring. Their extremely helpful and they go that extra mile on many occasions. I have 2 cats and 1 dog and sadly I had to say goodbye to her in 2015. To her the vets was her second home and she loved going there. The whole process of saying goodbye was extremely hard but to their credit all the staff were brilliant in what was a very sad day and I know that they care so passionately about all the animals that cross their threshold. I now have another dog who I rescued and was nervous but after a couple of visits she now loves going there too. I consider myself very lucky to have such a wonderful team looking after my babies because that's exactly what they are and I am never worried about leaving them there because I know they will always look after them as if they were their own. So Risedale. Kyumi Nicola Steph Sarah Rachael you are all awesome and do a brilliant job. I know you will always keep up the good work. Thankyou.

Three cats, aging from 16 to 3. One has an impressive pedigree, two are girls, two are grey, two are laid-back, two love Dreamies, one needs regular claw-clipping, one is over 6kg, one has Colitis, one has had a Thyroidectomy, one has been spayed... twice (before we owned her). They all have one thing in common; they get amazing care and attention from MediVet-Ark Aid, Poole. The staff are wonderful, warm, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and make one feel that one is the only client that matters. They truly go above and beyond to look after our beloved animals. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to another pet owner.

My dog Molly had treatment in the Carpenders park branch for a lump on her eye, she had it removed all seemed good regarding payment from the insurance then I was asked for 54.74 extra, why I asked when I was covered and had paid my excess of 80, it seemed they went for a very expensive HISTOLOGY test rather than the 62.98, rather than asking me if this was alright they tried to get it of my insurers, and they said they will not cover it, as it was unnecessary. I then had a nasty letter from Medivet saying this can't continue, and payment had to be made !!!!!!!! , I had never received a letter from then about any money, so I rang the branch at Carpenders Park and asked what was going on, the receptionist took the message and said she will look into it, nothing happened, so a week later went it there and asked what was happening, she took a message and said she will get back to me, again nothing, then Anna was on holiday so another message was left, why should I pay extra money for something that was NOT neccary and no one at this branch knew why it was charged, was unhappy and think I will be taking my 2 dogs elsewhere for treatment as I feel the trust has gone which is a shame as I have been going there for 6 years Not happy at all, I know you have to make money but really

Generally a great service, except that today we had a "new" vet, and she was not good, she got my dog and me worked up and more anxious, we came back for a 2nd booster shot and this woman, must have been in her mid 20's says some patently stupid comments about my working cocker being fat. we have had dogs for over 40 years. all of our dogs have had happy, healthy lives. the main vet (male) is a great person, he understands dogs and owners, this woman doesnt.

The team at Prescot are always cheerful and welcoming. Veterinary surgeon Dr Johann Viljoen is dedicated and passionate about the animals in his care. One has an impressive pedigree, two are girls, two are grey, two are laid-back, two love Dreamies, one needs regular claw-clipping, one is over 6kg, one has Colitis, one has had a Thyroidectomy, one has been spayed... twice (before we owned her). They all have one thing in common; they get amazing care and attention from MediVet-Ark Aid, Poole. The staff are wonderful, warm, kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and make one feel that one is the only client that matters. They truly go above and beyond to look after our beloved animals. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to another pet owner.

Just been told by Coventry branch I can not have another prescription for my dog to send off to on line vet as it is 1/3 the price without them seeing my dog first, and charging me about 50 for a check up, but can buy the medication at the practice at top price without seeing the vet, what a rip off

My dog Molly had treatment in the Carpenders park branch for a lump on her eye, she had it removed all seemed good regarding payment from the insurance then I was asked for 54.74 extra, why I asked when I was covered and had paid my excess of 80, it seemed they went for a very expensive HISTOLOGY test rather than the 62.98, rather than asking me if this was alright they tried to get it of my insurers, and they said they will not cover it, as it was unnecessary. I then had a nasty letter from Medivet saying this can't continue, and payment had to be made !!!!!!!! , I had never received a letter from then about any money, so I rang the branch at Carpenders Park and asked what was going on, the receptionist took the message and said she will look into it, nothing happened, so a week later went it there and asked what was happening, she took a message and said she will get back to me, again nothing, then Anna was on holiday so another message was left, why should I pay extra money for something that was NOT neccary and no one at this branch knew why it was charged, was unhappy and think I will be taking my 2 dogs elsewhere for treatment as I feel the trust has gone which is a shame as I have been going there for 6 years Not happy at all, I know you have to make money but really

What a rip off. Wrong diagnosis given cost 29 re-examination cost 15 on top next day when told needed operation. 50 for drugs that cost 12. 11 to bandage a small section of my dogs leg about 1 mtr use...

Disgusted willing to charge a pensioner nearly a thousand pounds for a beloved cat with no alternative advice when all the cat did was sprain his back leg they were willing to do every single test going, hence before their lovely warm foreign holiday with no thought to how my father was going to struggle, not one single bit of advice given accept from receptionist " well I hope he can pay" licience to print money vets, with no sincere help.

Everyone we see wether it is staff or fellow pet owners you are made to feel special and you also great great advice & top quality service.

Generally a great service, except that today we had a "new" vet, and she was not good, she got my dog and me worked up and more anxious, we came back for a 2nd booster shot and this woman, must have been in her mid 20's says some patently stupid comments about my working cocker being fat. we have had dogs for over 40 years. all of our dogs have had happy, healthy lives. the main vet (male) is a great person, he understands dogs and owners, this woman doesnt.
