Been a long time customer here. Have always found the vets compassionate, caring and thorough. They even did a home visit to put down our cat who was very ill and didn't travel well which would have added to his distress.

This place is all about profit rather than welfare of your pets. A friend of mine had a chicken that would of been dead within hours as he had seen the same condition before and needed a simple procedure doing and this place told him to take the chicken to another branch of theirs the next morning even though he told them the chicken wouldn't make the night and might already be dead by the time he got back. They also said the charge for the consultation on a Saturday for a chicken was £92. How they work that out is beyond me. I mean why not £92.50? Why the £2? Also a big difference to another local vet that said the charge would be £23. In the end vets 4 pets in Southport gave my friend a needle to do the procedure for free after speaking to a vet who was satisfied my friend knew what he was doing and considering the chicken was going to die. He got back and the chicken was barely conscious and lying on her side unable to stand up. He did the procedure and in an instant the hen stood up and recovered more and more as the days past. It's now two weeks later and the hen is eating and has more energy although she obviously has heart failure or something but is still alive and doesn't appear in pain. Better alive than dead which is what would of happened had he taken her to this vets. They probably would of euthanized her anyway for £92!!!

Best vets ever helped are Jack Russel (fudge) when he got ran over a few years ago but because of Parker and Crowther and Rutland house we're he had his surgery he just like he was when was a puppy

I saw Mr Parker with my pooch Hamish who was suffering a bad infection in his nails, had been on antibiotics and was still in a lot of discomfort. As soon as Mr Parker examined Hamish he suggested an urgent referral to a specialist dermatologist. Hamish got an emergency appointment the next day. Although I'm still waiting for the results of the various tests, I am happy to share Hamish is back to his normal happy self.

These have been my vets for various pets for 25 years. They could not be more helpful, kind and sympathetic. Not rip off merchants either. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

Absolutely love this vets!! My baby girl had a litter of 7 pups before Christmas and all healthy thanks to the support from the Formby surgery! Helped us massively and no question was too big for them...
Absolutely love this vets!! My baby girl had a litter of 7 pups before Christmas and all healthy thanks to the support from the Formby surgery! Helped us massively and no question was too big for them! Just had my final 3 in for their second vaccination and again the girls were so helpful and friendly. Wouldn't go anywhere else. All 4 dogs are with Parker and crowther and I would never change. Thank you to all the ladies in Formby you do a wonderful job...

Took my dog for an appointment as he had an ear infection. I then had to take him back twice they charged me 40 pound the first time and then the second time they charged me 60 for the prescriptions. ...
Took my dog for an appointment as he had an ear infection. I then had to take him back twice they charged me 40 pound the first time and then the second time they charged me 60 for the prescriptions. They then told me it was mandatory for me to bring him back the next week for a check up, on this check up they looked in my dogs ear for 10 seconds maximum and charged me 18.50 pound for this appointment without informing there was going to be charges. My dog is still suffering with his ears as this vets have not gave him the correct treatment even though I have taken him multiple times over this matter. Would not recommend this vets to anyone they are only out for money and not to actually treat the the animal.

I had very bad experience!!! She was a young woman and was extremely rude to me and my pet. This was our first time at the vet with my pet and it was DREADFUL! I had the impression that she just wanted to get it over and done with!!!! I had many questions prior to the check up, but when I came out, out of shock I forgot them all. How can you work as a vet if you don't even like animals? And it's also very cold there. Do not bring your pets here if you love them!!!

been with this practice over a year now since moving from Crosby to southport I was apprehensive at first having,been with my previous practice for some 30 years with various pets.i cant fault them ,they are so professional,attentive,nothing is a trouble ,old toby my late dads westie had just been diagnosed with kidney disease,which the practice picked up on ,because of his age via a blood test,the vet rang me to explain / put my mnd to rest.total confidence with this practice,from the vets,nurses,all staff,its a pleasure to visit,thank you all from myself,toby ivy tivvey hitchin.

This place is all about profit rather than welfare of your pets. I had very bad experience!!! She was a young woman and was extremely rude to me and my pet. This was our first time at the vet with my pet and it was DREADFUL! I had the impression that she just wanted to get it over and done with!!!! I had many questions prior to the check up, but when I came out, out of shock I forgot them all.
